Up until recently I have always had good luck with these and they have been solid, however in the past few months, I have had three failures on drives that were less than a year old. WD did replace them, so I am happy about that, but I am a little concerned that the quality has gone down. I hope it was a fluke… Update - another failure. Tried to open a support case with WD about this and it has been over a week with no reply. Changing my rating to two stars. I have this set up as an internal Wireless LAN at my home and store all my video and music content on this drive. With the N900 wireless this does for me more than any DVR out there can since I can access it from any device in my house including my desktop. Great combination. My plan is to add in a couple wireless surveillance cameras to the setup in the near future, and I expect it to continue to work just as good for that purpose as it does for my multimedia streaming. With 3TB of space I dont have to worry about shows being deleted. I can save all episodes of Futurama and other favorites. Drive seems quiet and after a couple of months, I have had zero issues. Minimal protection, but thats what I was hoping for. The pattern on the back increases grip without increasing drag when removing it from a pocket. Has not shown much wear from daily use. What I would like to see is a model without the slot in the back for users who wont take advantage of the magnetic mount. That way the case would be thinner and slightly lighter. Thats all this case really needs to be perfect. Please manufacture a model that is thinner without the option for a plate and Ill buy that as well. Has protected my Note 8 from minor drops and scratches. The little indent in the back for a metal plate for magnet mounts is awesome. It still keeps its slim profile without added both the extra bulk, as well as unsightly view of a metal plate if it were adhered to the outside of the case. The texture of the surface keeps it relatively grippy in my hands but slides in and out of my pockets very easily. Only issue is sometimes the corners (which are slightly open between the panels), sometimes pulls lint or strings out of my pockets haha. I came from the Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry red MX switches. Let me start with the build and quality, it is amazing. Solid feel and the lighting behind the white key caps are very bright and eye catching. It definitely looks like a premium keyboard. With all of that being said I dislike it for the one thing it’s meant for typing. I’ve never had so many typos and windows key press errors. While playing PUBG, Fornite and Counter Strike I hit the windows key more times I could count. If you’re a gamer you know that causes you to jump out of the game. I do feel like the keys are higher than what I am use to. The switches have a longer travel time to actuate. In my honest opinion going from the Corsair to Cherry Reds to this was a huge mistake for me. The trade off is the beauty over functionality. I’m choosing to go back and go with the Corsair K95 Plantium. It’s a true and trusted for me. This was purely from my experience and that is the only reason I deducted one star. I also would like to mention I have smaller hands and could be the cause of it. All of my Corsair keyboards came with wrist rest and this keyboard did not come with one. Por Matthew em 12 de janeiro de 2018 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada This keyboard, while featuring backlighting and Razer Green switches, which are as close to Cherry MX Blue in terms of feel as you can get, has a couple of major faults. The first is that the default, and unchangeable, lighting mode is "breathing", which cycles the lighting on and off at an interval. This is fine if you have the Razer software installed as you can change it, but if you do not, there is no way to change it to a constant backlight. That was the minor annoyance. The main problem is longevity, which in my case was just over one year. The E key on my board does not respond half the time, and as the warranty is only a year, there is no way to fix it, so Im left with a $99 hunk of metal. Save your money and look for another keyboard which uses Cherry MX switches. This my first Razer keyboard (first Razer anything really) and I fell in love with the feel and response time, the slickness & the clickyness of this keyboard. the lighting is actually pretty bright even though the lighting falls on a dark background. the only thing that would have made this keyboard ultimate is if they put a couple of USB ports on it, made the cord detachable and maybe made it spill proof and the underside metal and not plastic. My only nitpick about this keyboard really is that they didnt make all the symbols on the keyboard able to be illuminated (ex. ~!@#$%^ etc.) Overall this is a pretty solid keyboard and every bit worth the money. Updating my review because after heavy gaming for only two years, the qwer keys start to quit and the spacebar has sunk in so far on one side that it will only respond on the other side. Have to keep resetting the space key. My logitech keyboard, however has lasted for 5 years under heavy gaming pressure and still works completely. Switching back. Unfortunately we probably got a unit from the first production run, so there are many issues that still need to be sorted out before you should buy this. So far I havent been able to print anything other than a 1" tall sample part. Here are some of the problems: 1) Filament sometimes gets stuck during removal. Makerbot suggests using pliers to pull out filament, but doing this yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart, which is apparently bad for it. Had to disassemble my Smart Extruder to remove the filament plug that had formed inside. 2) Calibration seems broken. The nozzle scrapes along the build plate even after multiple rounds of leveling and calibration. 3) Filament jams repeatedly. Was unable to actually print after the initial test part. Likely due to the calibration issue described above. Fails about 15-20 seconds into print. Resuming or restarting the print does not help. 4) Slow firmware. Takes a very long time to boot up, to upgrade firmware (15 minutes), to calibrate, to start printing, etc. If youve used any other Makerbot product youll be pretty disappointed by this. 5) Poorly designed filament guide. The Z18 uses a long flexible plastic straw as a guide, and it kind of floats near the print head. It occasionally gets caught or kinked against the lid, which yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart. Unlike the Replicator 2, for example, the straw does not fit into the print head. It just dangles. Observations based on firmware 1.2.0.112. Update: Makerbot sent out a new Smart Extruder via overnight mail. Now it will start extruding without immediately jamming, but I still cant print. Nothing seems to stick to the base plate, so when I come back after 30 minutes to check on things, theres usually a huge glob of molten filament around the extruder tip and a birds nest of extruded filament scattered around the build plate. Por JoeD em 31 de julho de 2014 - Publicada na Amazon.com UPDATE 12/2016: One star rating now. The Makerbot support is still terrible. They finally released a better smart extruder, which you have to pay for. The amount of time spent on getting a good print is far too high - I could send out files to print for cheaper. PREVIOUS: For the cost, this printer should be far beyond its experimental phase and should be a consumer-ready device -- not something one has to spend hours toying with in order to get it working. The 1st printer we received had multiple issues and errors -- A) The printer could not detect that the door was closed. B) The ribbon cables inside the machine were not fully seated. C) The "smart" extruder was not being detected. D) Once printing, prints could not stick to the print bed without using a raft (Im still testing options to correct this). E) The updated firmware does not work (causing a "carriage disconnected" issue, and then an error in which the printer couldnt detect the smart extruder) User support (I have a MakerCare Plan) has to be the worst support I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I was on the phone that first evening for over an hour just waiting for a human to answer. I had submitted a case ticket as well, with no reply. I finally reached a human the next morning and he was completely clueless and unhelpful -- all he could do was request the printers diagnostic logs so an expert could review them and get back to me (I emailed the logs to him, with no reply of receipt, and no answer to correct the printers issues -- it has been 2 weeks!!!). I found a user group on Google for Makerbot Owners and found more support and answers there than Makerbots User Support or website. I reseated the interior cables, factory reset the printer, and rolled back firmware (seemed to solve most of the issues with the smart extruder and carriage being detected). I then printed a couple test models that come on the printers storage and a model of my own. There were a few hiccups, but the prints turned out fairly well (hence the rating above 1*). I havent solved the issue of successfully printing without a raft yet, but the model I created and printed turned out quite well (except it could have used some supports, which I didnt check ON). Other CONs: The spool should have a simple hinged piece to keep pressure on the filament, so it cannot unravel (seems like it would be simple to implement). The electronic noises the printer makes are annoying (not the mechanical noises). The bright lights inside the printer dont turn off (Im not sure if they can be turned off) The web cam is not very useful Final Comments: We sent the printer back and got a new one -- got error code 13 and 1500 on the new printer. I like the mecha membrane action and feel. The keys are not too far apart but still spaced enough to provide depth. The mouse is a solid mouse. So this specifically effects working in spreadsheets for me, which I do on a regular basis, and I have to constantly turn the lights off and back on to be able to use the arrow keys to move around objects on screen, which is really annoying. -The LEDs on the keyboard look great, its very solid and a good color. However, the lights are behind the keys instead of actually inside each one, which means the light is hard to see through the key labels unless youre looking straight down. This isnt usually an issue on keyboards except the labels on the keys arent white so if the LED is off or you arent looking straight down at them youre basically looking at black keys and cant clearly see any of them. -The above issue wouldnt be a real issue if it wasnt for the lack of angle provided by the feet underneath the keyboard, flipping them out practically doesnt lift the keyboard at all so the keyboard is basically always just laying flat. -The mouse, unlike the keyboard for some reason, keeps its LED lights on all the time, even when the PC is shut down. Another reviewer mentioned how the MC gets changed by someone while she is sleeping (Weird), one who uses some sort of mind control/merging and it sounds...creepy (WEIRD), and there are some other instances throughout the game, but I wont go into detail just so I dont ramble and possibly give away a spoiler. The characters were less than okay. Astrum is my favorite, but even so, the story and the characters are lacking. It had promise-being based off of being in a video game and its different from the average so I wanted to give this a try. I do not like how the tactics you choose in battle affect who you end up with. How are you supposed to know if attacking or running will get you with who you want to go with? I had to look up a guide due to this. Its just not ideal or wise at all. The MC is boring to me. After playing Code Realize, my expectations are immensely high. She doesnt have backbone and isnt charming at all. I know not every MC is going to be strong and independent, but that doesnt mean they cant be clever or quick to think and act, etc. All in all, its just okay. If you want trophies or just a VN to play, get it, but other than that, I dont recommend this. Another reviewer mentioned how the MC gets changed by someone while she is sleeping (Weird), one who uses some sort of mind control/merging and it sounds...creepy (WEIRD), and there are some other instances throughout the game, but I wont go into detail just so I dont ramble and possibly give away a spoiler. The characters were less than okay. Astrum is my favorite, but even so, the story and the characters are lacking. It had promise-being based off of being in a video game and its different from the average so I wanted to give this a try. I do not like how the tactics you choose in battle affect who you end up with. How are you supposed to know if attacking or running will get you with who you want to go with? I had to look up a guide due to this. Its just not ideal or wise at all. The MC is boring to me. After playing Code Realize, my expectations are immensely high. She doesnt have backbone and isnt charming at all. I know not every MC is going to be strong and independent, but that doesnt mean they cant be clever or quick to think and act, etc. All in all, its just okay. If you want trophies or just a VN to play, get it, but other than that, I dont recommend this. Has protected my Note 8 from minor drops and scratches. The little indent in the back for a metal plate for magnet mounts is awesome. It still keeps its slim profile without added both the extra bulk, as well as unsightly view of a metal plate if it were adhered to the outside of the case. The texture of the surface keeps it relatively grippy in my hands but slides in and out of my pockets very easily. Only issue is sometimes the corners (which are slightly open between the panels), sometimes pulls lint or strings out of my pockets haha. The magnetic clip was a little worrying, I always get nervous whenever magnets are near my electronics, but it seems to be a fear of a bygone era. It has no negative effect on the kindle whatsoever. It does make a satisfying clicking noise, however, when I close my kindle. I really like that clicking noise. This is slimmer than the original Amazon Paperwhite case, which was gifted to me, which I like because one of the selling points of the Paperwhite is how small it is. My favorite part is the hand strap, which is one of the primary reasons, I purchased this case. I have a handstrap on my tablet case and I use it regularly when I make use of my tablet, it is equally useful on this paperwhite. I feel safe using my kindle in the bath or while on the train. The paperwhite feels secure on my hand. Its not perfect though, the strap would feel better if it was place more towards the center of the cover, that way people with small hands could use it better with one hand. The cover also feels somewhat tight when closing over the kindle. I keep feeling the need to stretch the cover a little to sit flush with the kindle face. When I do this, however, the sleep/wake function stops working. Overall, great case, definitely worth the 11$. Its the perfect case for the price. It didnt put the kindle to sleep when I first tried to use it, but I realized it wasnt pushed down into the case entirely. It worked perfectly after getting the kindle to fit in the case properly. Por Freader em 9 de maio de 2016 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada After ten months of use, my main complaint with this Paperwhite cover, could be solved if the plastic side of the cover had the same cut-out for the charge port and off/on button on the top, as it has on the bottom. This would enable it to accept the Paperwhite upside down, which would make for an easy left-hand hold with the hand strap. This would also place the strap in a position easiest to use for those with small hands. The second complaint is unless one has a gargantuan hand, or holds the cover with two hands, while reading lying on ones back, the heavier Kindle side can easily fall forward towards your face. A snap or a magnet closure connecting the two sections would prevent that. Also, the flexible spine allows the heavier Kindle side to skew, causing one to twist their wrist to keep the print straight - not very ergonomic for long reading sessions. Another problem - the magnet has come out of its slot, preventing proper closure of the cover, which drains the battery when the Kindle turns on by itself, intermittently. This doesnt happen with the cover left open, but then that negates the reason for a protective cover when carried in a purse or backpack. I have a Marware easel-style cover for the old Kindle Keyboard. The cover flips over the top and is held to the second section at the bottom with a well-made elastic band, with a handstrap on the back for easy one-handed use with either hand. One can also stand it up like an easel, while following recipes. I have yet to find a similar style for the Paperwhite. Ive threatened to remove the leather side of the Swees cover and just slide the plastic side with the Paperwhite into the Marware cover - it fits! Other than the above points, the overall quality of the cover holds up really well. The stitching is still tight and unfrayed with daily handling over the past ten months, and the leather, front and back, is unscratched after being carried around in a purse. The elastic hand strap is actually not as useful as you might think - when you open the case and flip the cover around to the back of the Kindle, there is nothing to secure the front flap to the back. So whether or not you are using the hand strap, you still have to support the device with both your thumb and 4 fingers. Its marginally useful if you spend a lot of time reading while laying down with the kindle directly above your head. If this case had a magnet on the back of the case as well as the front, it would be a 5-star item.
