Hello, My name is Sofia, I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Lisbon in Portugal and have been living in the very different but equally interesting city of SĂŁo Paulo for some years. IÂŽm bilingual as I studied in a British International School and hold the Cambridge Proficiency in English Certificate (CPE), which qualifies me to teach English. I also hold a B.A degree in Law. IÂŽve taught students of different age groups and levels and I have particular expertise in Business English as I also work as a consultant for foreign companies coming over to Brazil. I cover several business topics from the brazilian and international markets as this is what I do full-time! IÂŽm also very aware and love to talk about more culture and art-related subjects. At any level I try to make my classes as tailor-made as possible, always with a more practical approach, with a lot of conversation and focusing on topics that are especially interesting to the student. Besides English, I can also teach expat Brazilian-Portuguese. With expats, I have had successful teaching outcomes with a more intensive and dynamic approach where I take classes to different day-to-day environments (coffee shops, restaurants, book stores, museums, parks, etc.) for a more practical learning experience! This allows for a better practice of the grammar, pronunciation and the vocabulary of everyday life situations. And I can give you tips and a lot of background on SĂŁo PauloÂŽs history, culture and even social codes!
