The instructions call for downloading the controller software, but that is for Windows only (once you find it on the site) and I have a Mac. I downloaded some Mac software but it kept quitting unexpectedly. At one point I was convinced that I needed to buy additional controller hardware. After I started downloading a Windows VM image so that I could then download the controller software, another reviewer (thank you) pointed out that the controller software only discovers the IP address and all configuration is done through the web at the access point IP address. That grossly simplified things for me. I queried my DHCP server for the devices IP address (the only TP-Link device in the list of clients), logged in using the default credentials (which required searching the web), and I was off to the races. Once I realized that the instructions created more problems than solutions, all was well. This is a 5-star product if they would exclude the configuration instructions. I am docking it one star for the misleading instructions. My existing router/AP is on one side of a large house, creating dead zones on the other floors at the opposite end of the house. I installed this AP on the side of a bookshelf in my home office at the opposite end of the house, and now my home is flooded with 2.4GHz and 5GHz of WiFi goodness. In fact, my cell phone prefers this signal over the (already very good) existing router/AP signal in every room except where the existing router/AP is located. If you have dead zones where an ethernet port is located, buy this, plug it in, mount it, then throw away the instructions. You will be happy with the purchase. Log into your router and view network devices (or dhcp history) to find its IP, then connect to that ip in your browser. The AP uses dhcp by default, so you should be able to find its address easily. After connecting to the web UI, it will ask for a password (default was admin:admin I think). I bought this for residential use, to extend wifi to the back rooms of the house. Dissapointed with residential routers and extenders by Netgear and Asus that would drop out or crash periodically, I turned to this. I already had ethernet run through the closets and walls, so this was a good fit, as I could just punch through the wall to mount it up high, and power it with POE. I just had to buy a gigabit poe injector along with this unit, as my router is not gigabit POE. iCreatin 48V35W Gigabit Power over Ethernet POE Injector Adapter Power supply,1000Mbps IEEE 802.3af/at Compliant, Up to 100 Meters (328 Feet) This product supports ceiling rail mounting (commercial buildings), ceiling tile mounting (also commercial), and keyhole ceiling/wall mounting. The hardware for all options is provided, though the screws for wall mounting are a little too short to go through drywall into a stud, and the drywall anchors are the bad hex type that do not expand and can push too far into the wall. A 12v quality power supply is provided as well, if you do not intend to use POE. No ethernet cable is provided. Performance and compatability on various channels is very good. Range is excellent. This is a commercial grade product. It supports 99 wireless clients. It does not need to be restarted or fooled with once set up, as it is designed for 24/7 load. The web interface is clean and simple to allow managing the AP. You do not need to use their EAP software. SSH is supported as well. The unit does not do routing, NAT, etc. Use a router/gateway for that. VLAN and management VLAN is supported. Portal is also suppoted, which allows you to give tokens out to users for temporary access (like giving patrons in a restaraunt wifi for 1 hour). You can disable the front LED status light (default green when on). The ethernet port does not flash. 2.4 and 5 gig bands have excellent range when mounted up high. Devices with line of sight get 800+ mbps connections over AC. Dumb devices (pcs, phones, android TV) that have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz will be automatically connected to the 5ghz band if signal strength is good, which is a nice feature to clean up wifi congestion. Been using this for some months without issue, so I purchased a second, to replace an existing ap and extend coverage. They never bog down or need to be restarted. I have worked with many of the higher end APs (I used to be a wireless engineer & RF designer), and this unit blew my socks off on how well it worked and the features vs. cost. (One note - if you are using this with a VPN, you may need to lower frame sizes at your router. If your VPN crashes your DSL, you will need to look at that. I had that issue and reduced frame size at the router and fixed it). This unit can do everything from SNMP, VLANs, fencing (guest networks), multi-band (I use both, and they work fine), full MAC filtering and ACLs, and it even has management software! It can do variable channel width, auto channel, adjustable Tx power, and can load balance with other TP-Link APs to make sure 1 AP does not have too many clients on it. It can also perform QoS traffic prioritization and rogue AP detection. My only negative is that the connections are on the outside of the unit, so you may not want to have it where someone can mess with it (like kids in schools, etc). It even has ceiling grid mounting, so I would not hesitate to deploy this at a small office. Performance has been very good, and it just runs and runs. Never need to reboot it or anything. Get the PoE injector to mount it anywhere. In my opinion, this unit really comes close to matching up with units costing many times more than this one. This lens is an amazing bargain. I was expecting a much cheaper build quality for this price, and I knew what to expect in terms of optical quality. Plenty sharp in the center from wide open, edges and corners sharpen up quickly as you stop down. There is no automatic manual focus override, but the AF/MF switch is a nice touch. Build quality really does feel close to on par with the Nikon 85mm 1.8 G lens. I got this as a gift for my father, who shoots a Nikon D610 and D7000, and lately this lens has been living on his 610. He loves the 35mm focal length, and this is a much smaller, lighter package than his 17-35 2.8 or 24-70 2.8 The additional speed is nice as well given the lack of stabilization. Typically I hate this style of earbud since they dont usually fit in my ears and dont usually stay in place, but once I got the right sizes on they actually fit very well and are very comfortable. I grabbed these because they were cheap and I needed something soft since the apple earbuds I use hurt after a couple hours of use. I know theyre theyre, but theyre very light weight and so comfortable that they almost feel like theyre not there. Not quite 5 stars because of the audio quality, but having had a pair of the ATH M50 monitor headphones in a little spoiled as far as quality goes, but hey I paid $10, and theyre earbuds. Theyre leaps and bounds above any of the garbage skullcandy buds. When running I find that regular headphones fall out of my ears, quite quickly with sweat. The ATH-CKX5BK stays put in my ears no problem, even after a twelve mile run. I also like that the in ear piece is flexible, so it can move to fit your ear canal. In terms of audio quality, I think they are great for working out, riding the bus, etc. But they will not blow your mind, and cannot be compared to $50+ in ear headphones. I really enjoyed page 60 where Tanikaze manually course corrects a projectile into the target - cool! Book eleven is another solid entry in the series. The relationship cliffhanger from the last book is cleared up, further living arrangement issues develop sitcom style and even the giant bear character, Ms. Hiyama, is explained a bit. However, I am not disappointed. This case is fantastic. Ive owned tons of cases, and I needed a sturdy, but not insanely bulky/heavy *cough cough* Otterbox *cough*. The case doesnt feel cheap, it feels nicely made, and its SLIM! It doesnt add that much weight/size to my atheistically pleasing shiny slim iPhone 5. This case doesnt let down. Its not silicone, (thank goodness) its a high strength plastic/rubber. I doesnt slide off the phone Easily. It grips the phone very nicely. The corners are reinforced with rubber bumpers, they can also be exchanged for different colors, which is a nice feature. (Each color case comes with different color bumpers. Mine came with orange, pink, white, and black). The case it comes in says it can withstand drops of up to 5ft. This is fine for an average user like me who doesnt need an industrial strength case for my iPhone 5. So if you are looking for a QUALITY made case with barely any bulk, buy this! The case is lightly textured, so it wont slip from your hand. The changeable corners give it the ability to personalize your case based on your mood, the corners are slightly thicker than the rest of the case, providing that protection in case it is dropped face down or something (I havent dropped mine, but I looks like it would never even come close to hitting my screen). Doesnt add bulk or much weight to the phone. Orange protective cases have been hard to find, this one is a keeper! Cons: The button on the top is a bit hard to press, but Im getting used to it. And the more I use it the easier it seems to get to push. I have noticed that it is peeling up my screen protector a bit in the corners. I think thats because the case is so snug fitting, but I had a cheap screen protector that was peeling before, so I cant really complain. Its not hard plastic, not soft gooey silicone but somewhere in between. More like a semi rigid high quality rubber/silicone not sure. What makes this case dynamic is its super slim construction and the bumper sections on the corners which have cushiony soft inserts. The corners themselves are slightly bubbled and are actually a void space meaning the edges of your phone do not touch the inside outer corners of this case...great design. I have dropped my iphone 5 a few times in the driveway without damaging the phone or the case. I have had this case on for a long time now and it has no signs of wear and has held its original form. So this should be considered an "extended use" review. Looking forward to the new iphone 6 to become available and Ballastics case for that, granted its of similar design. To compare, I started with the Otterbox Defender quality case but to bulky, then tried the Otterbox commuter, again quality case but hard slippery plastic and bulky. I also like the fact I can put my phone in my semi tight jean front pocket and hop in my car without feeling like a friggin brick is in there. With the help of Google and YouTube I was able to build my Pi exactly the way I wanted and am very happy with the results. I run Retropie Raspbian and Kodi on a triple boot build and cant be more pleased. I was in the market to buy the mini classic Nintendo to relive some old fun, but wasnt willing to pay the exorbitant price for minimal use. I wanted to be able to play all the old games and any time I wanted. In addition to this I wanted to get into this Kodi craze and take full advantage of the internet. After some painstaking research I found the solution to all my desires would be a Raspberry Pi. As I said early, I decided to build it myself and it came with its challenges, but I did succeed in the end. The onboard Wifi works very well and the processing speed meets all my needs without overheating. I did buy a case with heatsinks, so this may have helped. One thing I would recommend is not buying the preloaded NOOBS micro SD card. It is a waste of money since you can just download NOOBS to your own card. This is still by far the best micro computer you can buy. all the common outputs, wifi. plenty of i/o, ample horsepower and expandable storage. When im putting together projects this is usually my go to. This little board can multitask and host a full os. So a I can build out a full web interface and serve it right off this device. There are so many resources online for this from beginner to advanced, or you could just load raspbian, plug in a wireless mouse and keyboard and slap it behind your tv as a mini computer. I often find myself using this in conjunction with an arduino or multiple arduinos for that matter. I also bought an enclosure with heatsinks, power supply with switch, and a cooling fan on Amazon, and I bought 2 snes style usb controllers. Everything was easy to setup. I have the rpi overclocked following some easy instructions I found online, and everything runs well with acceptable temperatures. I have a rpi 2 also. I love these little computers. Unfortunately we probably got a unit from the first production run, so there are many issues that still need to be sorted out before you should buy this. So far I havent been able to print anything other than a 1" tall sample part. Here are some of the problems: 1) Filament sometimes gets stuck during removal. Makerbot suggests using pliers to pull out filament, but doing this yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart, which is apparently bad for it. Had to disassemble my Smart Extruder to remove the filament plug that had formed inside. 2) Calibration seems broken. The nozzle scrapes along the build plate even after multiple rounds of leveling and calibration. 3) Filament jams repeatedly. Was unable to actually print after the initial test part. Likely due to the calibration issue described above. Fails about 15-20 seconds into print. Resuming or restarting the print does not help. 4) Slow firmware. Takes a very long time to boot up, to upgrade firmware (15 minutes), to calibrate, to start printing, etc. If youve used any other Makerbot product youll be pretty disappointed by this. 5) Poorly designed filament guide. The Z18 uses a long flexible plastic straw as a guide, and it kind of floats near the print head. It occasionally gets caught or kinked against the lid, which yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart. Unlike the Replicator 2, for example, the straw does not fit into the print head. It just dangles. Observations based on firmware 1.2.0.112. Update: Makerbot sent out a new Smart Extruder via overnight mail. Now it will start extruding without immediately jamming, but I still cant print. Nothing seems to stick to the base plate, so when I come back after 30 minutes to check on things, theres usually a huge glob of molten filament around the extruder tip and a birds nest of extruded filament scattered around the build plate. They finally released a better smart extruder, which you have to pay for. The amount of time spent on getting a good print is far too high - I could send out files to print for cheaper. PREVIOUS: For the cost, this printer should be far beyond its experimental phase and should be a consumer-ready device -- not something one has to spend hours toying with in order to get it working. The 1st printer we received had multiple issues and errors -- A) The printer could not detect that the door was closed. B) The ribbon cables inside the machine were not fully seated. C) The "smart" extruder was not being detected. D) Once printing, prints could not stick to the print bed without using a raft (Im still testing options to correct this). E) The updated firmware does not work (causing a "carriage disconnected" issue, and then an error in which the printer couldnt detect the smart extruder) User support (I have a MakerCare Plan) has to be the worst support I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I was on the phone that first evening for over an hour just waiting for a human to answer. I had submitted a case ticket as well, with no reply. I finally reached a human the next morning and he was completely clueless and unhelpful -- all he could do was request the printers diagnostic logs so an expert could review them and get back to me (I emailed the logs to him, with no reply of receipt, and no answer to correct the printers issues -- it has been 2 weeks!!!). I found a user group on Google for Makerbot Owners and found more support and answers there than Makerbots User Support or website. I reseated the interior cables, factory reset the printer, and rolled back firmware (seemed to solve most of the issues with the smart extruder and carriage being detected). I then printed a couple test models that come on the printers storage and a model of my own. There were a few hiccups, but the prints turned out fairly well (hence the rating above 1*). I havent solved the issue of successfully printing without a raft yet, but the model I created and printed turned out quite well (except it could have used some supports, which I didnt check ON). Other CONs: The spool should have a simple hinged piece to keep pressure on the filament, so it cannot unravel (seems like it would be simple to implement). The electronic noises the printer makes are annoying (not the mechanical noises). The bright lights inside the printer dont turn off (Im not sure if they can be turned off) The web cam is not very useful Final Comments: We sent the printer back and got a new one -- got error code 13 and 1500 on the new printer. I reseated the cables, which fixed both errors. I am printing now, and it seems to be working fine now. Hopefully I can work with the printer to get the best results, but this printer is definitely not ready for regular consumers. What Ive learned, Ive ususally learned on my own or through YouTube. I have made MANY visits to the "Tube" to understand this game. I have been a RE fan since game 1. Ive watched the series grow, stumble, grow a little more, go completely away from the series, and finally upright itself. RE 2 Revelations is a great change of place since RE 5, 6, and Resident Evil Revelations. I mean, who can really be scared about fighting blobs of goo, moving rocks, and other throwaway monsters. I will list my pros and cons: Pros: The actual game play itself is relative easy. The creatures are way more scary (some actually look like ZOMBIES)! There are the invisible kind, which I had quite a bit of trouble with, mutations within mutations, and some kick-butt bosses. Since you have to play with BOTH members of your "team," you will need to learn to get a move-on. Creatures do not wait for you to combine your weapons, change your weapons, or even administer health. This game was indeed more survival horror instead of what weve seen since RE5. Cons: Please keep in mind these are MY cons. All you guys that I would consider PROS at this probably will get a good laugh and tell me to start watching TV again! Keep in mind that Im 62 and probably dont know HALF of what you guys know, so just bear with me. I do not like the way you change your weapons. RE Revelations was more simple and easier. I also dont believe Ill ever under the "mercenaries" game. I dont understand the concept of "destroying" your weapons. You also cannot interchange your acquired parts. All the characters come pre-equipped with weapons, so you never really can earn any kick-butt new ones (or can you?). All in all, though, this is the best RE in a long time. Por Brlane em 11 de abril de 2017 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada this is a true return to form for resident evil. this is the first resident evil game i have played since the outbreak games that FELT like resident evil. its dark its scary and atmospheric. you read files and explore dark creepy places. not run around mindlessly gunning down monsters. while i love resident evil 6 im not going to bash it because it was a great game as well. as for re5 i am still playing that game and will have a review coming later. i honestly think that capcom listened to the fans and gave us something good one last time (before the series moved on to the ps4) much like how order of ecclesia was the last good castlevania to be released. best of all theres no onslaught of quick time garbage that has been crippling the game since resident evil 4.(that is one of the only weak points in re4) claire redfield returns from resident evil 2 along side barrys daughter moira in her debut. the girls are kidnapped and barry burton from re1 returns to find them. there are 2 campaigns claire and moira and barry and natalia (another new character) the game is episodic in nature broken up in 4 parts when you finish claires story in each episode you then switch to barry for his adventure. i highly recommend this game for any resident evil fan Ler mais 4,0 de 5 estrelas Surprisingly good Por Misfit mitten em 15 de novembro de 2015 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada Having played through most of the games in the resident evil franchise, I found this game refreshing as it required more thinking than mindless shooting of the "infected" found in resident evil 6. There was definitely no quick-time, which seemed to plagued previous releases. The co-op was a disappointment as Moira and Natalia were incapable of firing any type of gun (a huge let down) a crowbar and brick are pitiful replacements. Although Natalias contribution was interesting, it was incredibly limiting and boring at times; which is more than can be said for Moiras sad flashlight. On the plus side, I now find myself reading Franz Kafka as his work was often quoted and inspired chapter titles (potentially more). Overall, the game was fun and scary (at times)! I thought the plot was pretty good, though it seems to be, basically, a rehash of Code Veronica--nothing spectacular but sows the seeds to keep the series going. The campaign itself was a little frustrating with ammo being ridiculously scarce and constantly needing to creep around as your secondary character to find precious sparkles. Where this game easily shines, and shines brightly, is the Raid mode. Its fantastic and fun revisiting levels and enemies from Resident Evil 6, Revelations 1 and Revelations 2. Ever since Resident Evil 3 introduced "The Mercenaries" that mode has always been my favorite part of the game (including Resident Evil 6--the one part that didnt suck). Revelations 2 is well worth a purchase for any Resident Evil fan--even those disillusioned by 6. This is a very comfortable backpack with lots of storage pockets for all of your miscellaneous items. The shoulder straps are padded and relatively wide, so they fit comfortably on my shoulders. (They fit comfortably on my husbands shoulders, too.) There is a lot of space in this pack. I had no problem fitting all of my odds and ends in here, including my phone, my external hard drive, work papers, and, of course, my laptop. The laptop compartment is in the very back of the backpack and has a somewhat unique configuration, in that the shoulder straps are located IN FRONT of the laptop zipper pocket. In other words, the shoulder straps are connected to the backpack BETWEEN the laptop compartment and the rest of the backpack. (Look at the side profile pic in the product details above.) You might think the placement of the straps would be awkward or uncomfortable, but, in reality, it helps distribute the weight of the laptop more evenly. Its actually a very nice feature, in my opinion. I have two complaints, though. First, the print on this backpack is ugly as sin. Even my husband thought so, and he usually doesnt care about that stuff at all. Second, while there are a ton of little pockets in the front of the backpack, there really isnt any place to store a pen or two upright. The pockets are too large, so unless you hook a pen over the pocket, it will just slide right down and disappear. I like to use #2 pencils, so this is an annoyance for me. Still, overall, this is a really nice backpack for work. It has just the right amount of space and support while still being lightweight. I saw that there are other prints available, but even they are kind of ugly. Hopefully they will come out with more attractive designs. Before receiving this backpack I went to the Case Logic website and watched the video on it showing all the pockets and compartments. Theres even a "hidden" compartment in the front. There are a lot of zipper pockets and one that is well padded on both sides for your laptop. Theres a huge compartment in between the laptop pocket and the front pocket that would be large enough to pack clothes; it also has a large pocket in it. The front zipper compartment has pockets and a zippered mesh pocket also. There are two side mesh pockets that are actually wide enough and deep enough to carry my 24oz. water bottle, which is unusual. The straps are well padded and the sternum strap that adjusts across the front of your body can be tightened or loosened and even moved up or down (the strap unsnaps and there are five different slots where you can put it to make it the most comfortable on you.) I have never seen that previously on a backpack; I put the straps at the very top (they were in the middle slots). You could also remove the sternum strap completely by unsnapping both sides. Even though I dont care for the color/design on this backpack (it looks like something youd get at an army surplus store to me), it has a lot going for it. I see there are other designs and colors also. The pack is heavy duty and definitely feels like it is built to last. I was actually FLOORED by how incredibly thick, sturdy, and well-constructed this backpack is. It easily reflects its price (which I thought was a little expensive before I received it... and, now, I think it is entirely accurate). This is not the type that could easily be snagged and torn on the way to class/work. In fact, there is no way thats going to happen. And, if we are talking about longevity, I think you will tire of the bag LONG before it wears out. Moreover, the wide, padded straps make carrying even the heaviest bag much more comfortable and safe. The back of the bag is also a solid piece of foam that both makes the bag easier on ones back AND helps maintain the shape of the bag. The three separate compartments are perfect for preventing ones laptop from getting scratched and scraped by accessories. Just place each in separate compartments. (Which is a time-saver for someone like me... who has individual cloth bags for each peripheral). And, it needs to be said, the design here is pretty great. I remember a time when Case Logic was not exactly "fashion-forward"... but this bag is genuinely attractive and masculine. Fantastic improvement from those old utilitarian days! There is not one aspect of this bag that I would change! Perfection!
