Its not the typical "wet suit" material if you were wondering or that makes any sense. The texture is pretty course and stitched for control as well as anti fray. The "small" size is actually a normal size mouse pad as these run huge. Fits perfect for a smaller desk/corner desk if you do not have much room. The colors are not quite as vibrant as the image listed, but looks great with my green LED Keyboard. Regards, Every Serious FPS Player Thankfully due to the size, its fairly easy to avoid, and it has a lot of positives. The rubberized hexagonal patterned base grips the desk well, so it didnt slide around. The surface is somewhere in between a Goliathus Speed and Control, but feels smooth like a Speed, which is something Ive really wanted to try lately (and so far its great). The size is awesome, if you have the desk space. Smooth, soft stitched edges, no irritation on my skin. And most optical sensors track as well as they can on it (laser sensors, not so much). You can get a plain black version from Razer, but otherwise the logo is green - which is a negative in my opinion. "Hi, were going to Chroma everything, now let us dictate the color scheme by putting green on the pad". Not a big deal, but... thats two rookie mistakes. The mouse pad I had before this one had a plastic top and when I upgraded to a gaming mouse I realized that mouse control was more of an exact science than I had originally thought. The fabric top offered more precise control of the mouse, and sometimes centimeters count in gaming. As mouse pads go, I would say that the primary factor to consider is a fabric top vice a plastic top. I bought the Razer mouse pad for the brand status, but I would say that any fabric mouse pad will do. Perhaps the only other factor to consider would be size. I havent seen the need for a larger mousepad, but if that is important to others, there are larger versions available. Having ignored it’s development, I’m not sure what to expect, and while it may be impossible, I hope they can capture Nihei’s art style in motion. Knights of Sidonia could probably still be great if it was done by other artists because the story is so strong, but what sets this excellent comic apart is Nihei’s personal graphic flair, the way he can depict vast interstellar distance, crazy fast action and weapon impacts or explosions all in the same panel. Page 146 is a good example of what I’m talking about, as Tanikaze uses the new prototype to snipe at the approaching Gauna. While you’re at it, check out pages 54-55, my favorite art from this book, where poor Tanikaze once again forgets to knock and gets his nose bloodied in the awesomest way possible. I love this comic. I came from the Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry red MX switches. Let me start with the build and quality, it is amazing. Solid feel and the lighting behind the white key caps are very bright and eye catching. It definitely looks like a premium keyboard. With all of that being said I dislike it for the one thing it’s meant for typing. I’ve never had so many typos and windows key press errors. While playing PUBG, Fornite and Counter Strike I hit the windows key more times I could count. If you’re a gamer you know that causes you to jump out of the game. I do feel like the keys are higher than what I am use to. The switches have a longer travel time to actuate. In my honest opinion going from the Corsair to Cherry Reds to this was a huge mistake for me. The trade off is the beauty over functionality. I’m choosing to go back and go with the Corsair K95 Plantium. It’s a true and trusted for me. This was purely from my experience and that is the only reason I deducted one star. I also would like to mention I have smaller hands and could be the cause of it. All of my Corsair keyboards came with wrist rest and this keyboard did not come with one. The first is that the default, and unchangeable, lighting mode is "breathing", which cycles the lighting on and off at an interval. This is fine if you have the Razer software installed as you can change it, but if you do not, there is no way to change it to a constant backlight. That was the minor annoyance. The main problem is longevity, which in my case was just over one year. The E key on my board does not respond half the time, and as the warranty is only a year, there is no way to fix it, so Im left with a $99 hunk of metal. Save your money and look for another keyboard which uses Cherry MX switches. This my first Razer keyboard (first Razer anything really) and I fell in love with the feel and response time, the slickness & the clickyness of this keyboard. the lighting is actually pretty bright even though the lighting falls on a dark background. the only thing that would have made this keyboard ultimate is if they put a couple of USB ports on it, made the cord detachable and maybe made it spill proof and the underside metal and not plastic. My only nitpick about this keyboard really is that they didnt make all the symbols on the keyboard able to be illuminated (ex. ~!@#$%^ etc.) Overall this is a pretty solid keyboard and every bit worth the money. Its heavy duty, it clicks loud and feels smooth to type with. Amazing gaming keyboard for LoL and WoW. Updating my review because after heavy gaming for only two years, the qwer keys start to quit and the spacebar has sunk in so far on one side that it will only respond on the other side. Have to keep resetting the space key. My logitech keyboard, however has lasted for 5 years under heavy gaming pressure and still works completely. Switching back. Just like my matching Razer mouse that quit after short use. Love the concept and light up but too much sparkly and not enough worky worky. I gave this mouse to my husband, and he says he loves this mouse and its perfect for his large hands. (I have changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars because my husband loves it better than his old style Naga, but if you have small hands then I dont think this will be comfortable for you). I have switched to a Logitech G403 and find that its much better for smaller hands. I have been using a Razer Naga MMOG for years for games like WoW and FFXIV. Well, the left and right top buttons were no longer responsive, so I decided to get the Razer Naga Chroma MMO corded mouse as a replacement. The price is great on Amazon, and I love the cycling lights. I also like that the number pad keys stick out more than my previous Naga, making the keys easier to find by touch. The new Naga has a rougher texture than the old Naga. Im used to the smooth texture, so that will take some getting used to. Now, despite being larger than my old Naga, it is about 5 grams lighter. Not a game changer, but something to be aware of. The biggest issue for me is the large size of this mouse. I am female and my hands arent that big (6.5 inches from bottom of palm to top of middle finger, 3 inches across middle of palm). The mouse is wider and slightly taller than my old one. This makes it a little awkward and uncomfortable to grip. If your hand is larger than mine, then this will probably be great for you. I understand that Razers demographic will for the most part have larger hands than mine. The part of the mouse protruding out of the right side is what made it uncomfortable for me. The thumb grip position between all the buttons also forced me to hold the mouse in one set position rather than being free to adjust my grip. Just didnt work for me. Also, you have to have razer synapse open all the time in order to use your profiles or use custom dpi values... the moment you close synapse, the dpi values revert to the default pre-programmed ones. I also just re-bought a razer mamba, and while I was able to save profiles to the on-board memory just a few months ago via razer synapse, close it, and continue to use those profiles just fine without synapse open when i originally tried out the mamba, now I cannot do that either. i.e. the new razer synapse doesnt allow you to save profiles to the on-board memory of a mouse that previously, just a few months ago mind you, was able to actually use its on-board memory... I dont know why razer did that but it really sucks imo. I remember when synapse didnt even ask you to log in, it was just plug and play. You chose whether to save the profile on synapse or the mouses on-board memory. Now your telling me I cant even use the on-board memory of a mice??? Im really sick of this always online/interconnected baloney these days. Other than that, the mouse was almost perfect. I really liked the buttons around the thumb grip. And there is something about the 16000 dpi 5g laser sensor in older razer mice that just feels so darn good... even newer mice like the logitech g pro dont feel as good to me. Of course, this is just personal opinion. Also, the shape may be just what your looking for for all I know - again, I was just stating how I felt about it. It has many display settings (colors, color-cycling, etc.) and each button can be programmed to do whatever you want, so as a gamer, he is absolutely thrilled with it. He also loved the shape (very ergonomic) and that the texture has better grip, as opposed to his older version that was very smooth and not the easiest to hang on to when youre trying to move quickly. It also allows you to speed up or slow down the response time of the mouses movements on-screen, so he can customize it to exactly what he needs. Were both really happy with the purchase! I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of options I have for programming this mouse. The grip itself is awesome! I love it so much! I really like that I have the option to dim the LEDs from 33% to 100%. At 100% brightness, the unit gets a bit warm, but I couldnt care less. Its just keeping the place warm for me until I come back -_o I now have my buttons set to change between Windows 10 virtual desktops by using a macro of "ctrl + win + left" & "ctrl + win + right". I also have the task manager on one, but I wasnt able to setup a macro to get through opening a program that needs UAC ok/cancel. I was a bit disappointed at that, but I will get over it. Ive owned every iteration of the Razer Naga and I cant imagine playing games without it. The 12 buttons on the side make it easy to switch weapons in FPS games and use entire action bar in MMOs just by using the thumb. I primarily use it for playing MMOs and having the entire damage rotation and targeting in one hand is very convenient. This iteration added ability to quickly step up or down DPI on the mouse making it more or less sensitive for when you need that extra precision. This is not as useful in MMO games but helps a great deal when playing a sniper in FPS games. Being able to create macros for the buttons makes it even more convenient if you need to do a sequence of events with a single button press. The mouse overall feels well built and fits my hand perfectly. The game looks fantastic, controls are spot on, and there is variety in vehicle selection to keep things lively. Having been a huge fan of Dirt 2, I was pretty excited to get my hands on a copy of Dirt 3. Their claim that they are returning to their rally roots only heightened this excitement. I was confused by the game cover, but I also realize they need to turn a profit and get as many people to buy their game as possible, so in my mind they were just trying to reach out to people who do not find WRC style-racing their cup of tea. In my mind, a rally oriented game should have you spending most of your time pretty much raising against the clock and occasionally seeing other racers on the track. I didnt care much for the X-games feel of Dirt2, but Dirt 3 doesnt feel all that different to me. A lot of time and effort was put into the Gymkhana events and X-Game events are still there. There are six main race modes: rally- point to point racing where you have a co-driver helping you navigate to the finish line. trailblazer- point to point racing where no co-driver assists you and faster vehicles are available. head2head- You are on a track and you race another driver (with no contact possible). Landrush- You race around a track in either trucks or buggies (full contact). RallyCross- You race around a track in cars (full contact). Gymkhana- You perform "tricks" to gain points to beat the competition. To me, only the first two count as rally but a fair amount of time is given to each racing mode. Head2head, Landrush, and rallycross offer a nice variety to the mix and keep things fresh. And Gymkhana....well Im not sure how that fits in there. Many people are thrilled to have it, but I saw it as a nuisance. You perform the same tricks over and over and over again. Basically you need to master drifting and driving around in a circle without falling asleep (think NASCAR, but a MUCH tighter circle). But my biggest gripe about the game have to do with DLC. At the time of this review the game has been out for less than a month and content was just released that you need to pay for. This is no secret, one glance at the trophy list reveals that at this point there will be additional content to come. This does not bother me. What DOES bother me as that when you play the game you are constantly reminded that you do not have access to all the vehicles. I will need to go the PSN store to download what ends up being five cars for six dollars. This has left me with the impression that I do not have a complete game. I bought the game at full price, but I did not get the full product. I understand having additional content, as well as the VIP Pass, but do I need to be reminded of it every single time I want to race? This has left me with a sour taste in my mouth for this game. I am sure many people have no problems with this, but consider what your garage will look like when all DLC content is out (and especially if you ended up buying the game used and do not want to buy the VIP Pass). As of now I have no plans of buying the DLC. I hate to be a Negative Nancy, but I have seen only positive reviews, and the 1-star reviews for this game on Amazon are pretty much non-reviews. I just feel like a few things should be highlighted to give a broader picture of what the game has in store for those who buy it. For many, these issues will not apply. Dirt 3 (despite all of this complaining) is still a great game, and in terms of off-road racing I have not played anything that compares to it with the exception of Dirt 2. Now it has offline two player races and can have a single race without entering career mode!!!!!!!, the Gymkhana parks are very fun to play, you can spend lots of hours just trying to do the stunts asked in just one park, and I think there are like 3. If you like cars and racing, this IS THE GAME!. When GT5 came out I was going to buy it, but it was a big deception, you cant even get out of track cause youll hit an invisible shield (what a shame) and dirt look very bad, it disappears when you go through it. On the other hand in this game I have found no flaws. You can even upload your replays to youtube, which may take some time but it worth it. You get Rally, Rally Cross, Land Rush, Trail Blazing, Gymkhana, Baja. On asphalt, dirt and snow. Pros: Great Graphics, single race, offline multiplayer (2), physics, dirt looks, snow tracks, flash backs, you can choose between old or new cars even 60s (60s,70s,80s,90s) on some kind of races. Cons: Not so real when landing a jump(this may not seem as a con for everybody), some times the game crashes when using flash backs continuously (just like 2 times) and some times you really need to use the flashback. Dirt3 is a very fundamentally sound racer/rally game. You begin the career mode with some simple rallies and rally-cross events. As you progress the events progress in some degree of difficulty. Beginning rally stages are short with few tricky turns and gradually the difficulty of the rally stages gets harder. Some of the later hill climb events can be challenging with the extremely quick dedicated hill climb vehicles. The rally-cross events are a lot of fun as you go fender to fender with other rally-Xers. The buggy rally-cross events were especially challenging for me. Each of the vehicle and especially vehicle classes are distinct with different types of vehicles handling differently. Later Gymkhana events are introduced as is drifting. The Gymkhana events are a great change of pace from the other more traditional "rally" fare and are fun. Doing doughnuts around pylons and taking out targets in a 4 wheel drift is very satisfying and challenging. The Gymkhana events are not easy. Overall, this is a great racing/rally game and I would highly recommend it.
