With the help of Google and YouTube I was able to build my Pi exactly the way I wanted and am very happy with the results. I run Retropie Raspbian and Kodi on a triple boot build and cant be more pleased. I was in the market to buy the mini classic Nintendo to relive some old fun, but wasnt willing to pay the exorbitant price for minimal use. I wanted to be able to play all the old games and any time I wanted. In addition to this I wanted to get into this Kodi craze and take full advantage of the internet. After some painstaking research I found the solution to all my desires would be a Raspberry Pi. As I said early, I decided to build it myself and it came with its challenges, but I did succeed in the end. The onboard Wifi works very well and the processing speed meets all my needs without overheating. I did buy a case with heatsinks, so this may have helped. One thing I would recommend is not buying the preloaded NOOBS micro SD card. It is a waste of money since you can just download NOOBS to your own card. This is still by far the best micro computer you can buy. all the common outputs, wifi. plenty of i/o, ample horsepower and expandable storage. When im putting together projects this is usually my go to. This little board can multitask and host a full os. So a I can build out a full web interface and serve it right off this device. There are so many resources online for this from beginner to advanced, or you could just load raspbian, plug in a wireless mouse and keyboard and slap it behind your tv as a mini computer. I often find myself using this in conjunction with an arduino or multiple arduinos for that matter. I also bought an enclosure with heatsinks, power supply with switch, and a cooling fan on Amazon, and I bought 2 snes style usb controllers. Everything was easy to setup. I have the rpi overclocked following some easy instructions I found online, and everything runs well with acceptable temperatures. I have a rpi 2 also. I love these little computers. The LE of Guilty Gear Xrd comes with: Special Art slip cover (same as pictured,) custom case in the shape of "The Backyard" book from the game, artbook called the codex which is slightly larger than a PS3 game case, a vocal OST of 10 songs, the game, and a key chain in the shape of main character Sols belt buckle that says "FREE." The artbook called codex also has detailed entries for every relevant character in the Guilty Gear franchise as well as some extra artwork and fun facts. Give lots of background on the franchise outside the game and has quality art inside as well. The box it comes in is shaped like a hollowed out book and looks great on display, same with the slip cover on or off. The game itself is great. Several offline modes such as combo and game mechanic challenges. A character upgrade mode called M.O.M. (also can be played online), and a host of online options mainly player and ranked matches but with a host of lobbies and features. A gallery where you can unlock the character Sin for free, as well as music from past games that can be selected in matches, artwork, and various things to customize your online profile. Story mode is basically a long series of cutscenes and dialogue but is animated and presented extremely well and can be paused/saved at any point. Length is about the size of the average anime season. Arcade acts as an opening for each characters motivations for story mode. Largest positive, cross play with PS4 and PS3! Played about 3 hours straight with a friend in Montreal Canada, while I live in Georgia USA and had 3F lag as indicated by the game. Btw the game shows your moment to moment lag! when online. This is all crossed play while he was on PS4 and Im on 3. Only down side is the graphical jealousy you will have when you see the PS4 version. It is simply a cleaner presentation than the PS3 obviously and no effect on the actual game. The cutaways for supers and quality of character models in opening/ending/story modes are more closely represented to the PS4 models, than the ingame PS3 models which are still amazing, but its a noticeable difference. That said the game runs the same on both a smooth 60fps with no slowdowns. Lots of content to playthrough if you like the actual fighting portion of fighting games! Worth every penny. I buy the ps3 copy because i have the arcade sticks for this console, and the difference between version is not that much, outside of the 1080p improvement, and i think the framerate at the beggining of the fight is also better, but nothing game breaking. Buy wichever version you want or can afford, if you like me are a big fan of the fighting games, this entry cannot be miss in you collection. Its a love letter to Guilty Gear fans. The game, its more of the same at first but as you dig youll see a few differences. MOM mode is different from past iterations, Survival mode is gone all together. There is new music, and while everyone plays the same as they have there are a few new tricks to keep you coming back. Tutorials and controls are easy to get into and probably a lot better at explanation than Blazblue. Its network mode leaves something to be desired, sometimes disconnecting and bad frames rates. But when it works, it really works, lag is seemingly nonexistent. Overall, good but a little inferior compared to Blazblue. I came from the Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry red MX switches. Let me start with the build and quality, it is amazing. Solid feel and the lighting behind the white key caps are very bright and eye catching. It definitely looks like a premium keyboard. With all of that being said I dislike it for the one thing it’s meant for typing. I’ve never had so many typos and windows key press errors. While playing PUBG, Fornite and Counter Strike I hit the windows key more times I could count. If you’re a gamer you know that causes you to jump out of the game. I do feel like the keys are higher than what I am use to. The switches have a longer travel time to actuate. In my honest opinion going from the Corsair to Cherry Reds to this was a huge mistake for me. The trade off is the beauty over functionality. I’m choosing to go back and go with the Corsair K95 Plantium. It’s a true and trusted for me. This was purely from my experience and that is the only reason I deducted one star. I also would like to mention I have smaller hands and could be the cause of it. All of my Corsair keyboards came with wrist rest and this keyboard did not come with one. The first is that the default, and unchangeable, lighting mode is "breathing", which cycles the lighting on and off at an interval. This is fine if you have the Razer software installed as you can change it, but if you do not, there is no way to change it to a constant backlight. That was the minor annoyance. The main problem is longevity, which in my case was just over one year. The E key on my board does not respond half the time, and as the warranty is only a year, there is no way to fix it, so Im left with a $99 hunk of metal. Save your money and look for another keyboard which uses Cherry MX switches. This my first Razer keyboard (first Razer anything really) and I fell in love with the feel and response time, the slickness & the clickyness of this keyboard. the lighting is actually pretty bright even though the lighting falls on a dark background. the only thing that would have made this keyboard ultimate is if they put a couple of USB ports on it, made the cord detachable and maybe made it spill proof and the underside metal and not plastic. My only nitpick about this keyboard really is that they didnt make all the symbols on the keyboard able to be illuminated (ex. ~!@#$%^ etc.) Overall this is a pretty solid keyboard and every bit worth the money. Its heavy duty, it clicks loud and feels smooth to type with. Amazing gaming keyboard for LoL and WoW. Updating my review because after heavy gaming for only two years, the qwer keys start to quit and the spacebar has sunk in so far on one side that it will only respond on the other side. Have to keep resetting the space key. My logitech keyboard, however has lasted for 5 years under heavy gaming pressure and still works completely. Switching back. Just like my matching Razer mouse that quit after short use. Love the concept and light up but too much sparkly and not enough worky worky. I came from the Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry red MX switches. Let me start with the build and quality, it is amazing. Solid feel and the lighting behind the white key caps are very bright and eye catching. It definitely looks like a premium keyboard. With all of that being said I dislike it for the one thing it’s meant for typing. I’ve never had so many typos and windows key press errors. While playing PUBG, Fornite and Counter Strike I hit the windows key more times I could count. If you’re a gamer you know that causes you to jump out of the game. I do feel like the keys are higher than what I am use to. The switches have a longer travel time to actuate. In my honest opinion going from the Corsair to Cherry Reds to this was a huge mistake for me. The trade off is the beauty over functionality. I’m choosing to go back and go with the Corsair K95 Plantium. It’s a true and trusted for me. This was purely from my experience and that is the only reason I deducted one star. I also would like to mention I have smaller hands and could be the cause of it. All of my Corsair keyboards came with wrist rest and this keyboard did not come with one. The first is that the default, and unchangeable, lighting mode is "breathing", which cycles the lighting on and off at an interval. This is fine if you have the Razer software installed as you can change it, but if you do not, there is no way to change it to a constant backlight. That was the minor annoyance. The main problem is longevity, which in my case was just over one year. The E key on my board does not respond half the time, and as the warranty is only a year, there is no way to fix it, so Im left with a $99 hunk of metal. Save your money and look for another keyboard which uses Cherry MX switches. This my first Razer keyboard (first Razer anything really) and I fell in love with the feel and response time, the slickness & the clickyness of this keyboard. the lighting is actually pretty bright even though the lighting falls on a dark background. the only thing that would have made this keyboard ultimate is if they put a couple of USB ports on it, made the cord detachable and maybe made it spill proof and the underside metal and not plastic. My only nitpick about this keyboard really is that they didnt make all the symbols on the keyboard able to be illuminated (ex. ~!@#$%^ etc.) Overall this is a pretty solid keyboard and every bit worth the money. The second thing they will probably notice is the wacky environment and zany sense of humour. Deponia tells the story of Rufus, a young man who is desperate to leave his hometown and forge something better. He’s so desperate that he’ll emancipate himself with a makeshift rocket. This is quite understandable, since he literally lives in a junkyard. Although Rufus isnt the most lovable protagonist (he tends to be rather brusque and callous at times, and tends to take selfishness to almost unbelievable extremes), he does breathe a great deal of life into the adventure, making Deponia as riveting as a classic novel such as Little Women or Les Miserables. I know thats an exaggeration, but it really is hard to stop playing once you get into the swing of things. There are more twists and turns than a spaghetti dinner-for-eight, as he swiftly finds himself wrapped up in a conspiracy concerning a beautiful damsel in distress and a nation in turmoil. The cliches end here, though, and you’ll always find yourself eager to unravel more mysteries. The side characters include Rufus friend Wenzel, ex-girlfriend Toni (dont forget to exhaust her conversation options) and the traditional mad scientist. They breathe life into the game and make things both realistic and engaging. This will be considerably easier said than done, however. The puzzles do make logical sense (in hindsight), but a great deal of creative thinking and memorization is needed before you can, for instance, mix an energy drink to render the beautiful lady lucid and able to converse with you. Where did I leave the magic ginger and disgusting coffee? Fans of the two Discworld games for the PC and the ancient King’s Quest games will certainly feel nostalgic here. The solutions are often counter-intuitive, but there is a logic behind them. You are the anti-hero, Rufus, whose main goal is to leave this planet and will do anything to achieve that. When he “rescues” a girl, he discovers there are bigger things going on. Will he make the right decision when it really counts? This is a point-and-click adventure game. Overall, I enjoyed the game. The plot itself was good but slow to develop. From what I understand, this is the first in a series of games. So, consider this the first episode. There are a few unresolved issues that will not be answered. The puzzles were a mixed bag. I figured most of them out on my own. For the few, I had to consult a walkthrough. It can be a bit frustrating when you are checking every nook and cranny or combining everything in your inventory so you can make some progress. And there were a lot of weird combinations. My main pet peeve was the controls. The tutorial was not really helpful and I spent the first 20 minutes, trying to remember what the tutorial said. Eventually, I got the hang of it but it took about 2 hours before I finally got a feel for it. You don’t know what a relief it was. Rufus moves slowly from one scene to another and having the option to teleport him from one room to another was like mana from heaven. Other than that, the game ran smoothly. There was no lag between screens. There were a few times where the subtitles don’t match what the characters were saying. There wasnt really bad language. More sarcasm than anything. The artwork/design is simple but gorgeous. I love the thick-line cartoon look. The voice acting is good and fit their characters. Normally, I would pass over these type of games (I play RPGs/Adventures/Simulation games) but I wanted to give it try. It took me about 20+ hours to finish the game and get 75% of the trophies. So, for the price, it was worth the entertainment. I might go back to get all the trophies but it doesn’t have much replay value otherwise. I would’ve preferred that the developer placed all the sequels on one disc, since I would love to see what happens next. However, this game is not for everyone. If you looking for fast pace with lots of action, this is not it. If you are looking for humor, decent plot and puzzle-solving, this is for you. In the end, I will be waiting for the sequel. I would love see what happens to Rufus. What Ive learned, Ive ususally learned on my own or through YouTube. I have made MANY visits to the "Tube" to understand this game. I have been a RE fan since game 1. Ive watched the series grow, stumble, grow a little more, go completely away from the series, and finally upright itself. RE 2 Revelations is a great change of place since RE 5, 6, and Resident Evil Revelations. I mean, who can really be scared about fighting blobs of goo, moving rocks, and other throwaway monsters. I will list my pros and cons: Pros: The actual game play itself is relative easy. The creatures are way more scary (some actually look like ZOMBIES)! There are the invisible kind, which I had quite a bit of trouble with, mutations within mutations, and some kick-butt bosses. Since you have to play with BOTH members of your "team," you will need to learn to get a move-on. Creatures do not wait for you to combine your weapons, change your weapons, or even administer health. This game was indeed more survival horror instead of what weve seen since RE5. Cons: Please keep in mind these are MY cons. All you guys that I would consider PROS at this probably will get a good laugh and tell me to start watching TV again! Keep in mind that Im 62 and probably dont know HALF of what you guys know, so just bear with me. I do not like the way you change your weapons. RE Revelations was more simple and easier. I also dont believe Ill ever under the "mercenaries" game. I dont understand the concept of "destroying" your weapons. You also cannot interchange your acquired parts. All the characters come pre-equipped with weapons, so you never really can earn any kick-butt new ones (or can you?). All in all, though, this is the best RE in a long time. There was definitely no quick-time, which seemed to plagued previous releases. The co-op was a disappointment as Moira and Natalia were incapable of firing any type of gun (a huge let down) a crowbar and brick are pitiful replacements. Although Natalias contribution was interesting, it was incredibly limiting and boring at times; which is more than can be said for Moiras sad flashlight. On the plus side, I now find myself reading Franz Kafka as his work was often quoted and inspired chapter titles (potentially more). Overall, the game was fun and scary (at times)! I thought the plot was pretty good, though it seems to be, basically, a rehash of Code Veronica--nothing spectacular but sows the seeds to keep the series going. The campaign itself was a little frustrating with ammo being ridiculously scarce and constantly needing to creep around as your secondary character to find precious sparkles. Where this game easily shines, and shines brightly, is the Raid mode. Its fantastic and fun revisiting levels and enemies from Resident Evil 6, Revelations 1 and Revelations 2. Ever since Resident Evil 3 introduced "The Mercenaries" that mode has always been my favorite part of the game (including Resident Evil 6--the one part that didnt suck). Revelations 2 is well worth a purchase for any Resident Evil fan--even those disillusioned by 6. This is a very comfortable backpack with lots of storage pockets for all of your miscellaneous items. The shoulder straps are padded and relatively wide, so they fit comfortably on my shoulders. (They fit comfortably on my husbands shoulders, too.) There is a lot of space in this pack. I had no problem fitting all of my odds and ends in here, including my phone, my external hard drive, work papers, and, of course, my laptop. The laptop compartment is in the very back of the backpack and has a somewhat unique configuration, in that the shoulder straps are located IN FRONT of the laptop zipper pocket. In other words, the shoulder straps are connected to the backpack BETWEEN the laptop compartment and the rest of the backpack. (Look at the side profile pic in the product details above.) You might think the placement of the straps would be awkward or uncomfortable, but, in reality, it helps distribute the weight of the laptop more evenly. Its actually a very nice feature, in my opinion. I have two complaints, though. First, the print on this backpack is ugly as sin. Even my husband thought so, and he usually doesnt care about that stuff at all. Second, while there are a ton of little pockets in the front of the backpack, there really isnt any place to store a pen or two upright. The pockets are too large, so unless you hook a pen over the pocket, it will just slide right down and disappear. I like to use #2 pencils, so this is an annoyance for me. Still, overall, this is a really nice backpack for work. It has just the right amount of space and support while still being lightweight. I saw that there are other prints available, but even they are kind of ugly. Hopefully they will come out with more attractive designs. Before receiving this backpack I went to the Case Logic website and watched the video on it showing all the pockets and compartments. Theres even a "hidden" compartment in the front. There are a lot of zipper pockets and one that is well padded on both sides for your laptop. Theres a huge compartment in between the laptop pocket and the front pocket that would be large enough to pack clothes; it also has a large pocket in it. The front zipper compartment has pockets and a zippered mesh pocket also. There are two side mesh pockets that are actually wide enough and deep enough to carry my 24oz. water bottle, which is unusual. The straps are well padded and the sternum strap that adjusts across the front of your body can be tightened or loosened and even moved up or down (the strap unsnaps and there are five different slots where you can put it to make it the most comfortable on you.) I have never seen that previously on a backpack; I put the straps at the very top (they were in the middle slots). You could also remove the sternum strap completely by unsnapping both sides. Even though I dont care for the color/design on this backpack (it looks like something youd get at an army surplus store to me), it has a lot going for it. I see there are other designs and colors also. The pack is heavy duty and definitely feels like it is built to last. I was actually FLOORED by how incredibly thick, sturdy, and well-constructed this backpack is. It easily reflects its price (which I thought was a little expensive before I received it... and, now, I think it is entirely accurate). This is not the type that could easily be snagged and torn on the way to class/work. In fact, there is no way thats going to happen. And, if we are talking about longevity, I think you will tire of the bag LONG before it wears out. Moreover, the wide, padded straps make carrying even the heaviest bag much more comfortable and safe. The back of the bag is also a solid piece of foam that both makes the bag easier on ones back AND helps maintain the shape of the bag. The three separate compartments are perfect for preventing ones laptop from getting scratched and scraped by accessories. Just place each in separate compartments. (Which is a time-saver for someone like me... who has individual cloth bags for each peripheral). And, it needs to be said, the design here is pretty great. I remember a time when Case Logic was not exactly "fashion-forward"... but this bag is genuinely attractive and masculine. Fantastic improvement from those old utilitarian days! This is a very comfortable backpack with lots of storage pockets for all of your miscellaneous items. The shoulder straps are padded and relatively wide, so they fit comfortably on my shoulders. (They fit comfortably on my husbands shoulders, too.) There is a lot of space in this pack. I had no problem fitting all of my odds and ends in here, including my phone, my external hard drive, work papers, and, of course, my laptop. The laptop compartment is in the very back of the backpack and has a somewhat unique configuration, in that the shoulder straps are located IN FRONT of the laptop zipper pocket. In other words, the shoulder straps are connected to the backpack BETWEEN the laptop compartment and the rest of the backpack. (Look at the side profile pic in the product details above.) You might think the placement of the straps would be awkward or uncomfortable, but, in reality, it helps distribute the weight of the laptop more evenly. Comfort and sound slightly worse than my MDR-1000X’s but for gaming (especially the zero latency) it’s pretty fantastic. I was previously using a very good corded Sennheiser headset but the cable kept getting run over or tangled in my chair, so it’s great having zero anxiety around that (plus, 20 hour battery life? This headset is loud and if you fiddle with the equalizer enough, you will have a great pair of speakers on your head. I listen to electronic music a ton, and its super important that I hear the different levels that the certain song gives - these do an amazing job. Even vocal driven songs sound great. The bass is a little high, but I turned that down so that the treb and the bass are pretty equal. (Ive included my equalizers for iTunes and the engine for those that are interested so they can check it out.) The next best thing is the comfort. Oh my goodness, are they comfortable. Ive been wearing them for a while now and I can see how people say they are stiff when you first get them, but they will loosen after you wear them enough. They are causing a tiny bit discomfort, but I have faith that they will stretch. My ears also tend to be very sensitive are get very irritated after a little while when they have something pressing against them, but the ear covers are exceptional. Very roomy for my ears and there is nothing irritating them for the time I have been wearing the headset. I am however going to jump straight into the one problem they have. There is a major clicking in the mic when I use the given sound card with the mirco plug in. Its horrifying how loud the clicking is. I am pretty sure this is a problem with the sound card - not the software. A lot of people have been addressing this clicking issue for a year now and Steelseries is really horrible about the issue and has no fix for it. The only ACTUAL FIX for the headset is using the 3.5mm jacks with the soundcard instead of the micro USB - but you lose the lights on the headset if you used the 3.5mm. Funny thing is, I intended to use this headset with the Siberia USB External Soundcard anyways because I heard there were sound issues and mic issues with the given sound card. So I knew from the get-go that I wasnt going to use the lights on the headset. It still sucks incredibly because the biggest selling point for this headset is the color changing lights. The fact that you cant even use them without having a clicking mic, is why I gave them 3 stars. 150 dollars for a headset thats supposed to have lights but you cant use - is pretty awful. I would really like this headset to 100% amazing. Except the problems the mic has, along with Steelseries hardly caring about their defective products is a true bummer. I can live with it however and am pretty pleased. Overall, these headphones are awesome- probably the best gaming headset Ive ever owned. As for sound quality, its probably not up to par for the audiophiles out there, but I personally think the audio is pretty decent. Everybody else seems to think theres a problem with the volume not being loud enough, but Ive been able to turn it up way past comfort levels. Comfort - Super comfortable and I have no problem with wearing these for extended periods of time. The Microphone - friends tell me its super clear. I love being able to retract the microphone into the unit. Software - easy to use and useful. The LEDs are a cool feature even though you cant see anything when you wear it. Build quality is excellent on this piece and everything feels to be built with high quality materials Cons - its super huge and doesnt sit around my neck very well when I want to take it off but dont want to put it down. Ill probably buy some kind of headphone stand for this. Would be awesome if it had some kind of retractable cable or something. Comparison Vid: [...] I was sick and tired of the Razer knock off clicky switches. It was nice for a couple months, but now it is quite irritating and unsatisfying to type on. Therefore I decided to get the Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Brown switches. DESIGN: Personally I like this design better than the Blackwidow. The Blackwidow seems to have a matte fingerprint/oil attracted finish to it. This keyboard however has a clean sleek design that trumps that Blackwidow. The finish on this keyboard seems to be fingerprint resistant and doesnt seem to stain as easy as the Blackwidow. ALSO IT COMES WITH THE OG CORSAIR SAILS LOGO (THANK YOU CORSAIR) not the new "Corsair Gaming" logo that everybody hated. KEYS: I have never owned a Cherry MX Keyboard until now and IT IS AMAZING TO TYPE ON. This keyboard has the option of MX Browns, Reds, or Corsairs "Silent Switches." I decided to get Browns because its halfway between a Red(Silent) and Blue (Clicky) switch, basically the best of both worlds. Browns are not as loud as blues, theyre nearly the same as Reds actually. Its just that Brown switches have a more tactile feedback feel when you type on them compared to Reds. The keycaps themselves on the other hand are similar in feel and look to the Razer keycaps. BUT Corsair includes a set of FPS and MOBA keycaps ALONG WITH a keycap puller so you can customize it to your needs. Props to Corsair for that. LEDS: The casing for the keycaps are clear so you get the maximum shine of color from the switches. Every switch has their own RGB LED that is customize able to what game youre gonna play. There are also two white LED strips on the side of the keyboard to add a nice clean finish to the keyboard. I have attached pictures to clarify. SOFTWARE: Im just gonna say it, the Razer Synapse software for the Chroma is much better than Corsairs CUE software. It took me about 30 minutes to an hour to figure out how to set a certain keycap a certain color. They do have instructions on their website, but its not clear enough for all the features. When I got my Razer Blackwidow Chroma, it was simple (INSANELY SIMPLE) to customize the LEDS to your specific needs. However for Corsair, it seems like theyre getting there but ever so slowly. For example you need to go to 3 or 4 different pages on Corsair software to set all the keys white and WASD a different color. It was just a very frustrating experience for me using the CUE software. Hopefully in the future it will be on the same level as Razers Synapse. OVERALL PROS: -Cherry MX Browns -Design -Price (Cheaper than Blackwidow Chroma) -Accessories (Keycaps/wrist rest) -USB Passthrough CONS: -CUE Software - No headphone/mic passthrough In the end, I recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for an upgrade or their first mechanical keyboard. The price of $149 is very much worth it considering all the extra accessories that come along with it. As for the software, give it some more time and Im sure major improvements will be made. Those felt amazing, so I thought. After around 10 minutes of typing and playing Battlefield 1, I realized these switches feel cheap and are not good for me. I did a bunch more research and decided I must have a keyboard with RGB lighting. Of all the keyboards that I saw through videos on YouTube, the Strafe was the most impressive. I tried to find a Strafe RGB with blue switches to mimic the Razer greens, but I could only find a refurbished one at Newegg for $150. Turns out there were issues with them and theyre no longer being made. I decided to go with the Reds because thats what many gamers I know use. I have been using this keyboard for 11 days now and I am very satisfied with it. The software is easy to use and allows for customization, the keys feel great when typing and when playing (FPS games that is), it looks really pretty, and it even has a USB port. But to use that you will need to plug in the second USB that is attached to the keyboards main cable. All in all, everything about this keyboard is absolutely wonderful. In case you didnt know, there are a few people that that frequent r/RGB Profiles on Reddit and the Corsair forums that create custom RGB lighting schemes that you can use with Corsair peripherals. Everyone can make custom profiles, but it is tough and is much easier to download profiles. I also own a Corsair M65 Pro and I found a guy through the Corsair RGB forums that lets you download free lighting schemes for all devices- so theyre in sync. He even has really great videos demonstrating the lights. He goes by "Schwitz". I am very satisfied with this keyboard. I attached a video of some of my favorite profiles. We have Windows 10 and it was a little weird to install. I used our old keyboard to download the software and had to restart at least once and just wait for the keyboard to start registering keystrokes, but it somehow snapped to it. I have another device with Cherry MX Brown keys and its such a pleasure to use for writing. The Blue are even clackier and old school, with very clear, distinct keying. The USB pass through is really nice as well. If you wait for it to be on sale like $100 dollars for the RGB, then its a really good deal. There are some cons though: the cable is very thick and there is no cable management which might be a problem for some. The software is hard to use and only for windows no linus or mac software compatibility(there is a unofficial software called ckb for mac, and it works great). The pros: keys are nice and fast, I have the browns which have the really nice tactile feedback. The RGB is bright and can show really fun patterns and designs. The build great and solid even without the glossy metal like on the K70. One important thing to note is that on my personal keyboard one of the keys light went off and stayed off on the first day I got it. I tried unplugging and re plugging and restarting the software but no luck, the key still works but the light doesnt. It bugs me but is no problem cuz the key still works. Overall this is the best keyboard for the price and the pros overweight the cons. Prior to that I was an MX510/MX518 user. So this is my first time delving into Zowie products. I did so under the recommendations from MANY people Ive gamed with competitively. Teammates, etc. Ill go into my thoughts now and give a rundown at the end. Coming from a deathadder that I always felt was just a little too big, the EC2-A fits my hand perfectly. I have a 17.5cm hand from the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger, so pretty small. With that said, theres a few mm clearance from the tip of my index and middle finger to the edge of the mouse buttons. I use a palm/claw hybrid grip. The coating on this mouse is excellent. It feels almost like satin in your hand. Very smooth with just a hint of texture. Its VERY grippy once your hands get a little damp from sweat but can feel slippery if you have very dry hands. For me this isnt really an issue since within about 5 minutes of gaming my hand starts to perspire a bit. The mouse is weighted perfectly at around 80-85g.. not too light, and not too heavy. The shape is very comfortable in the hand. The EC shape is the PERFECT shape for accommodating ANY style of grip whether it be palm, claw, fingertip or a hybrid. Next: The sensor. From all the testing Ive done, the 3310 implentation is flawless in the EC2-A. The Pixart 3310 sensor is well regarded in the peripheral community as being an excellent sensor, only being edged out by Logitechs exclusive Pixart 3366 in both the G502 and G303. However, the 3310 is more than capable of giving you rock solid results. There is zero NOTICEABLE acceleration in this mouse. The reason I say noticeable is that there is acceleration in every sensor except the 3366, but its only able to be produced under a perfect/specific scenario. Regardless, its not enough to feel it. Its a small enough effect to still consider this mouse PERFECT in terms of tracking accuracy. The 3310 has a PCS(basically the max speed in which it will track) of OVER 5 m/s.. and in any normal gaming situation(no matter how intense), no normal human will reach those speeds during fast swipes. This mouse has some of the lowest lift off distance Ive ever experienced, and the good thing about the 3310 is that it allows you to change LOD settings without having to use a special lens for the sensor(which zowie used to do). Low LOD is a must for any competitive gamer, especially those that play with low sensitivity on games like CS:GO. The LOD out of the box is less 2mm. A little more than 1 cd width. I find this to be the perfect setting but you can set the mouse based on the type of mouse mad you use, whether soft or hard. There is zero cursor smoothing with this mouses 3310...and it feels very raw in desktop and in game. Its the first mouse Ive used that truly feels like Im getting 1:1 hand to cursor movement. Theres a reason Zowie chose this sensor. Construction: The mouse feels very durable. Its light, but it feels very well made. There is zero rattle. Zero noises when I squeeze the shell. The shell does not flex or give when you exert excess pressure on it. Switches: Here is one area I thought about taking a star away for. The side buttons. Which I will get to. The main buttons use Huano blue switches. Now, before you get on the Omron bandwagon, the Huanos function just as well, and will last just as long. The ONLY difference is the huanos are a bit stiffer as far as actuation goes. Huanos provide even more tactile feedback, and a louder click when pressed over omrons...but the main difference is the actuation force required. I have small hands and they do not fatigue me at all, no matter how much I spam. I in fact love these switches. You will NEVER get a mis-click with this mouse, and these main button switches. They are a good middle-ground switch. Now, the side buttons on this mouse can definitely be improved on by zowie. The reason I didnt take a star away is because they function perfectly and are shaped nicely, and put in a perfect location relative to where your thumb is placed such that you can easily roll your thumb upwards to depress them without changing your grip on the mouse. The problem is they are mushy and have some pre-travel to them before they actuation and coming from a mouse like the Deathadder which I feel has the best side buttons on the market..it took some getting used to. Zowie needs to change up how they implement them to make them not have this amount of pre-travel. However, with that said... the pre-travel on these switches make it almost impossible to mis-click them since youd know you were about to press the switch before it ever actuates. I have never misclicked a side button on this mouse. I did it ALL THE TIME with the the deathadder. Both the 4G and 3G versions. This is my only complaint with the mouse. Other information: The DPI steps on this mouse are 400/800/1600/3200 and for hardcore gaming, this is all that is needed. If you come from a mouse that allows you to change your dpi to more selections, it shouldnt take long to get used to unless you used a uselessly high DPI like 5000 or above, which no one needs even if you play on triple screens, or 4k monitors. You simply do not need that high of a DPI, and truth be told every sensor on the market performs BETTER at lower dpi settings because it wont have to rely on interpolation. Zowie is one of the only manufacturers on the market not involving itself in the "DPI RACE" that every other company out there hypes & markets on their mice. They give pro players what they ask for, and that is a simple plug & play mouse that doesnt rely on drivers, or shove software down your throat in order to use the mouse. You can change your polling rate and lift off distance, basic quality of life changes. Other than that, the mice is set up optimally for EVERYONE right out of the box, the only exception being your lift off distance settings, which for hard pad users you will have to change when plugging the mouse in by depressing and holding the specified button for the particular setting you want. This mouse just works. And it performs well beyond expectation. In summary: If youre a hardcore gamer, especially an FPS gamer looking for a no-nonsense mouse, if your main concern is EXCELLENT tracking, and having zero acceleration, prediction or angle snapping.. this is the mouse for you. If you want a LAN READY mouse that is plug & play with the essential dpi steps.. this is the mouse for you. Zowie hit it out of the park with this mouse. If youre a CS player, well.. HeatoN designed the EC shape, and zowie took that shape and put one of the best sensors available in it... and fixed the main issues such as the button click latency, and scroll wheel. I use a claw/fingertip grip and found I could never quite get comfortable with it. If the width of the back part came in a little bit, especially on the right side, I would have kept it. They press in way too far before they actuate and they feel very flimsy like they could break at any time. Also the one I bought had a defect with the sensor where it would sometimes continue to drift in the last direction I moved it even though I stopped moving the mouse.
