Hello, my name is Abianne and Iâm from Colchester, a small town near London in the UK. I have been living in SĂŁo Paulo for almost a year now and have been loving the diversity of music and arts events that the city offers and getting to know the wonderful people through teaching. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, this came from a fascination with other cultures and understanding global issues. This led me to various volunteering projects in Peru and Vietnam involving children, where I taught my first English lessons. Here I realised my love for teaching, the following year I completed my CELTA teaching qualification. Since then I have been teaching adults, online and in person. I am qualified to teach all levels, I use a variety of course books and supplement with native material from the BBC, TED talks when appropriate. The lessons being informative and interesting always being the priority! During my travels I also fell in love with India, practicing yoga and meditation. I am a keen lover of music and enjoy searching for the best nights of soul, jazz and Brazlian music here in SĂŁo Paulo.
