I came from the Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry red MX switches. Let me start with the build and quality, it is amazing. Solid feel and the lighting behind the white key caps are very bright and eye catching. It definitely looks like a premium keyboard. With all of that being said I dislike it for the one thing it’s meant for typing. I’ve never had so many typos and windows key press errors. While playing PUBG, Fornite and Counter Strike I hit the windows key more times I could count. If you’re a gamer you know that causes you to jump out of the game. I do feel like the keys are higher than what I am use to. The switches have a longer travel time to actuate. In my honest opinion going from the Corsair to Cherry Reds to this was a huge mistake for me. The trade off is the beauty over functionality. I’m choosing to go back and go with the Corsair K95 Plantium. It’s a true and trusted for me. This was purely from my experience and that is the only reason I deducted one star. I also would like to mention I have smaller hands and could be the cause of it. All of my Corsair keyboards came with wrist rest and this keyboard did not come with one. The first is that the default, and unchangeable, lighting mode is "breathing", which cycles the lighting on and off at an interval. This is fine if you have the Razer software installed as you can change it, but if you do not, there is no way to change it to a constant backlight. That was the minor annoyance. The main problem is longevity, which in my case was just over one year. The E key on my board does not respond half the time, and as the warranty is only a year, there is no way to fix it, so Im left with a $99 hunk of metal. Save your money and look for another keyboard which uses Cherry MX switches. This my first Razer keyboard (first Razer anything really) and I fell in love with the feel and response time, the slickness & the clickyness of this keyboard. the lighting is actually pretty bright even though the lighting falls on a dark background. the only thing that would have made this keyboard ultimate is if they put a couple of USB ports on it, made the cord detachable and maybe made it spill proof and the underside metal and not plastic. My only nitpick about this keyboard really is that they didnt make all the symbols on the keyboard able to be illuminated (ex. ~!@#$%^ etc.) Overall this is a pretty solid keyboard and every bit worth the money. Its heavy duty, it clicks loud and feels smooth to type with. Amazing gaming keyboard for LoL and WoW. Updating my review because after heavy gaming for only two years, the qwer keys start to quit and the spacebar has sunk in so far on one side that it will only respond on the other side. Have to keep resetting the space key. My logitech keyboard, however has lasted for 5 years under heavy gaming pressure and still works completely. Switching back. Just like my matching Razer mouse that quit after short use. Love the concept and light up but too much sparkly and not enough worky worky. Razer synapse is pretty easy to use although I find the settings sometimes change on their own and reset to default. Just a software issue though and they are constantly updating it anyway. Its a cheap crappy cable. The white plastic ends had rough edges, but the worst is that iphone recognizes the fake cable and message pops up in the middle of the charge something like "not recognized power source" or something and stops the charge. So you can wake up with a 20% battery sometimes. THIS DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $5 stay away from this product and this seller. Its a same cable that is on ebay for 99 cents free shipping. I am SO glad I went with this! I plugged it right in to my iPhone 5 and computer and it was ready to sync iTunes and began charging my phone right away. (if for some reason it doesnt start charging the phone, flip the part that goes into your phone over...i realize "real" apple cords arent like this, but this IS generic and saves you a lot of money, so give it a chance!) I went out to the car to plug it into the car charge (generic) that I bought (usb charger) and voila...no hesitation and began charging just fine, immediately! GREAT buy, good quality... get you one! I got sent 3 cables, all of which arent certified. So, its not so perfect. It charged my IPhone 5. I went to charge my phone today and it wouldnt charge.Upon looking at the cord, the area where the USB plug meets the cord is starting to disconnect and no longer charges my phone. I do not move my cords around and/or bend and abuse the cords. Id say poorly made. I opened the second one today and am not sure how long it will last. Ive had them less than a week. Graphics and frame rate are better and it looks great on PS Vita. Gameplay (battle, crafting and menu) is nearly the same as in Neptunia V and rebirth1. Up to 4 characters can join the battle and the new characters seem fun. It is easy to play if you have played the previous games but even if you havent, tutorials are everywhere. The world music has been changed too but the battle theme is the same, which is good. Localization is fine and we have audio support for english and japanese. It is nice to see the CPU candidates in their game again. Really a must-have for Neptunia fans. The magnet strip where the cover and case meet isnt secured very well, and the cover metal pulled the magnet straight out of the case after about 4 months of normal use. The plastic holding the magnet then quickly snapped off where the magnet used to be, leaving me the choice between supergluing all of it back together, or finding a different case; I chose the latter (Inateck). Lastly, when it was intact, the cover did not do an adequate job of securing the "closed" position via the magnet. After closing my Paperwhite and going to sleep thinking it was securely off, I would sometimes wake to the Kindle believing that I had been "reading" the same page all night because it hadnt closed properly. This not only wastes the life of my backlight, but also throws my pages remaining count all out of whack and required manual fixing a few times. Ive had the case for 2-3 months now and the case looks pretty good still. It has a few faint stains, but since the case is a light color, that is kind of expected. The reason I gave the case only 3 stars, though, is because after a couple weeks, the magnets in the inside of the case started coming out when I opened the top. My husband ended up super gluing both of the magnets into their spots. The plastic on the outside, next to the magnets is weak so that ended up breaking while we were trying to fix the magnets, but we just glued that as well. So overall I give it three stars. The color and case is nice, but I would expect the magnets to stay put. At least until the case is a little bit older. Updated on 12/28: After publishing this review, the seller contacted me and offered to send a new case at no cost to me. It arrived quickly and looks like the magnets fit better than my old one. I had some hesitations about it when I first pulled it out of the box as some of the keys were just floating about but nothing was actually broken. No extra drivers necessary on install, just plug and play. My biggest annoyance is the backlight not defaulting to “on” and scroll lock always has to be enabled to keep the lights up but for basic gaming and web browsing this isn’t a terrible unit. I like the mecha membrane action and feel. The keys are not too far apart but still spaced enough to provide depth. The mouse is a solid mouse. Wish I could reprogram the side keys to not change web pages. I will have to say that the keys on the keyboard could have a lot shorter throw(distance from where your finger press the key and the key reaches the end of its stroke). I fee that you have to press the keep to far down. I know some people may prefer this feel. The mouse feels well built and durable. This combo is a great combo for the home office. I really like the placement and organization of the multimedia keys also. The scroll lock key is used to turn the backlight key on and off so if you use that key in applications well who knows what to do. The lettering on the keys (without backlight on) is hard to read even in good light, so if you hunt and peck type egads! I am sorta a type by feel borderline hunt and peck and it is rough so far after 7 days usage. There is a bit of an edge you can feel into your palm from the back edge of the mouse, nothing too bad but I feel it...rounded edge would have fixed that. The mouse has stayed backlit for a couple days, turned off other times. Now on to the pros...build quality is great for the money, heavy, pretty solid. The backlight looks really good to me, even coverage maybe could be brighter. The mouse looks very cool lit up. Price. The feel of the keys is quite nice in a medium softness but with clicks and clacks sound. This gets stars for even having backlight at this price. I am going to use it in my home studio and need the backlight for hunt and peck typing in low light. I have Corsair K70 keyboards and M65 and M95 mice that do not have the annoying turn on backlight thingie but they were 4 to 5 times more expensive. Not even a week has past and the mouse wheel is starting to squeak quite noticeably... I did not find any use for the playback media buttons since it does not work with anything beyond using VLC or Windows Media Player. Not long after the ctrl key felt off to me when I pressed it, but was easily fixed by popping the key back in. Based on my experience, its an okay product and I appreciate the fact that it has led since it helps me see what keys Im pressing at night. The build quality is decent enough besides the minor issues Ive stated above. I do not like the button placement for the back/forward page on the mouse because it makes it rather easy to accidentally click those buttons when using the mouse. I find it inconvenient that for some applications the led will shut off and I would have to reactivate it by clicking the screen lock key The dpi settings were a nice addition and I would have liked to see some included software however that may be asking too much... Anyway, I would recommend this combo if youre looking for cheap mouse and keyboard combo with led. I would like to note, compared to what Im used to the keyboard itself has a bit of weight to it. BUT, after about a month now, the quality is unfortunately showing through and I dont think I can strongly recommend this package for anyone who plans to do at least a moderate amount of gaming with them. Issues: -The keyboard has no onboard memory and the light has to be manually turned on each time, which isnt a huge deal except the button to power on the LEDs is also the scroll lock button for some strange reason. So this specifically effects working in spreadsheets for me, which I do on a regular basis, and I have to constantly turn the lights off and back on to be able to use the arrow keys to move around objects on screen, which is really annoying. -The LEDs on the keyboard look great, its very solid and a good color. However, the lights are behind the keys instead of actually inside each one, which means the light is hard to see through the key labels unless youre looking straight down. This isnt usually an issue on keyboards except the labels on the keys arent white so if the LED is off or you arent looking straight down at them youre basically looking at black keys and cant clearly see any of them. -The above issue wouldnt be a real issue if it wasnt for the lack of angle provided by the feet underneath the keyboard, flipping them out practically doesnt lift the keyboard at all so the keyboard is basically always just laying flat. -The mouse, unlike the keyboard for some reason, keeps its LED lights on all the time, even when the PC is shut down. Its not a serious issue, but it seems an odd design choice to have the mouse lights always on but the keyboard lights have to manually be turned back on on power up. -The last issue has only recently came up. Like I mentioned above Ive now had the product for close to a month, and the mouse scroll wheel has already started to squeak quite a bit from time to time unless scrolling very quickly. I had some hesitations about it when I first pulled it out of the box as some of the keys were just floating about but nothing was actually broken. No extra drivers necessary on install, just plug and play. My biggest annoyance is the backlight not defaulting to “on” and scroll lock always has to be enabled to keep the lights up but for basic gaming and web browsing this isn’t a terrible unit. I like the mecha membrane action and feel. The keys are not too far apart but still spaced enough to provide depth. The mouse is a solid mouse. Wish I could reprogram the side keys to not change web pages. I will have to say that the keys on the keyboard could have a lot shorter throw(distance from where your finger press the key and the key reaches the end of its stroke). I fee that you have to press the keep to far down. I know some people may prefer this feel. The mouse feels well built and durable. This combo is a great combo for the home office. I really like the placement and organization of the multimedia keys also. The game looks fantastic, controls are spot on, and there is variety in vehicle selection to keep things lively. Having been a huge fan of Dirt 2, I was pretty excited to get my hands on a copy of Dirt 3. Their claim that they are returning to their rally roots only heightened this excitement. I was confused by the game cover, but I also realize they need to turn a profit and get as many people to buy their game as possible, so in my mind they were just trying to reach out to people who do not find WRC style-racing their cup of tea. In my mind, a rally oriented game should have you spending most of your time pretty much raising against the clock and occasionally seeing other racers on the track. I didnt care much for the X-games feel of Dirt2, but Dirt 3 doesnt feel all that different to me. A lot of time and effort was put into the Gymkhana events and X-Game events are still there. There are six main race modes: rally- point to point racing where you have a co-driver helping you navigate to the finish line. trailblazer- point to point racing where no co-driver assists you and faster vehicles are available. head2head- You are on a track and you race another driver (with no contact possible). Landrush- You race around a track in either trucks or buggies (full contact). RallyCross- You race around a track in cars (full contact). Gymkhana- You perform "tricks" to gain points to beat the competition. To me, only the first two count as rally but a fair amount of time is given to each racing mode. Head2head, Landrush, and rallycross offer a nice variety to the mix and keep things fresh. And Gymkhana....well Im not sure how that fits in there. Many people are thrilled to have it, but I saw it as a nuisance. You perform the same tricks over and over and over again. Basically you need to master drifting and driving around in a circle without falling asleep (think NASCAR, but a MUCH tighter circle). But my biggest gripe about the game have to do with DLC. At the time of this review the game has been out for less than a month and content was just released that you need to pay for. This is no secret, one glance at the trophy list reveals that at this point there will be additional content to come. This does not bother me. What DOES bother me as that when you play the game you are constantly reminded that you do not have access to all the vehicles. I will need to go the PSN store to download what ends up being five cars for six dollars. This has left me with the impression that I do not have a complete game. I bought the game at full price, but I did not get the full product. I understand having additional content, as well as the VIP Pass, but do I need to be reminded of it every single time I want to race? This has left me with a sour taste in my mouth for this game. I am sure many people have no problems with this, but consider what your garage will look like when all DLC content is out (and especially if you ended up buying the game used and do not want to buy the VIP Pass). As of now I have no plans of buying the DLC. I hate to be a Negative Nancy, but I have seen only positive reviews, and the 1-star reviews for this game on Amazon are pretty much non-reviews. I just feel like a few things should be highlighted to give a broader picture of what the game has in store for those who buy it. For many, these issues will not apply. Dirt 3 (despite all of this complaining) is still a great game, and in terms of off-road racing I have not played anything that compares to it with the exception of Dirt 2. Now it has offline two player races and can have a single race without entering career mode!!!!!!!, the Gymkhana parks are very fun to play, you can spend lots of hours just trying to do the stunts asked in just one park, and I think there are like 3. If you like cars and racing, this IS THE GAME!. When GT5 came out I was going to buy it, but it was a big deception, you cant even get out of track cause youll hit an invisible shield (what a shame) and dirt look very bad, it disappears when you go through it. On the other hand in this game I have found no flaws. You can even upload your replays to youtube, which may take some time but it worth it. You get Rally, Rally Cross, Land Rush, Trail Blazing, Gymkhana, Baja. On asphalt, dirt and snow. Pros: Great Graphics, single race, offline multiplayer (2), physics, dirt looks, snow tracks, flash backs, you can choose between old or new cars even 60s (60s,70s,80s,90s) on some kind of races. Cons: Not so real when landing a jump(this may not seem as a con for everybody), some times the game crashes when using flash backs continuously (just like 2 times) and some times you really need to use the flashback. Dirt3 is a very fundamentally sound racer/rally game. You begin the career mode with some simple rallies and rally-cross events. As you progress the events progress in some degree of difficulty. Beginning rally stages are short with few tricky turns and gradually the difficulty of the rally stages gets harder. Some of the later hill climb events can be challenging with the extremely quick dedicated hill climb vehicles. The rally-cross events are a lot of fun as you go fender to fender with other rally-Xers. The buggy rally-cross events were especially challenging for me. Each of the vehicle and especially vehicle classes are distinct with different types of vehicles handling differently. Later Gymkhana events are introduced as is drifting. The Gymkhana events are a great change of pace from the other more traditional "rally" fare and are fun. Doing doughnuts around pylons and taking out targets in a 4 wheel drift is very satisfying and challenging. The Gymkhana events are not easy. Overall, this is a great racing/rally game and I would highly recommend it.
