I’m Matt, I’m from a small town outside of London but I’ve been drawn to Brazil through a fondness of the Brazilian music and culture and have been living in São Paulo for almost a year now, slowly discovering more and more of this immense city. A love of music and arts led me to a bachelors degree in Music and Technology from the University of Kent and since then I’ve played in bands and worked in production studios. During my time at university I aided some foreign students with their essays, making sure there were no grammar mistakes or seeing if a phrase could be worded better. I discovered that I enjoyed explaining the do’s and don’ts of English and decided to take a course in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). I have an abundance of teaching materials (textbooks and native media material) to use in the classroom that are geared towards all types and levels of learners.
