The charger pad that connects the wire to battery is too big and gets in the way of those buttons making it really hard to play while charging making the plug and play feature useless. Plus the batteries do not last long. Comfort and sound slightly worse than my MDR-1000X’s but for gaming (especially the zero latency) it’s pretty fantastic. I was previously using a very good corded Sennheiser headset but the cable kept getting run over or tangled in my chair, so it’s great having zero anxiety around that (plus, 20 hour battery life? This headset is loud and if you fiddle with the equalizer enough, you will have a great pair of speakers on your head. I listen to electronic music a ton, and its super important that I hear the different levels that the certain song gives - these do an amazing job. Even vocal driven songs sound great. The bass is a little high, but I turned that down so that the treb and the bass are pretty equal. (Ive included my equalizers for iTunes and the engine for those that are interested so they can check it out.) The next best thing is the comfort. Oh my goodness, are they comfortable. Ive been wearing them for a while now and I can see how people say they are stiff when you first get them, but they will loosen after you wear them enough. They are causing a tiny bit discomfort, but I have faith that they will stretch. My ears also tend to be very sensitive are get very irritated after a little while when they have something pressing against them, but the ear covers are exceptional. Very roomy for my ears and there is nothing irritating them for the time I have been wearing the headset. I am however going to jump straight into the one problem they have. There is a major clicking in the mic when I use the given sound card with the mirco plug in. Its horrifying how loud the clicking is. I am pretty sure this is a problem with the sound card - not the software. A lot of people have been addressing this clicking issue for a year now and Steelseries is really horrible about the issue and has no fix for it. The only ACTUAL FIX for the headset is using the 3.5mm jacks with the soundcard instead of the micro USB - but you lose the lights on the headset if you used the 3.5mm. Funny thing is, I intended to use this headset with the Siberia USB External Soundcard anyways because I heard there were sound issues and mic issues with the given sound card. So I knew from the get-go that I wasnt going to use the lights on the headset. It still sucks incredibly because the biggest selling point for this headset is the color changing lights. The fact that you cant even use them without having a clicking mic, is why I gave them 3 stars. 150 dollars for a headset thats supposed to have lights but you cant use - is pretty awful. I would really like this headset to 100% amazing. Except the problems the mic has, along with Steelseries hardly caring about their defective products is a true bummer. I can live with it however and am pretty pleased. Overall, these headphones are awesome- probably the best gaming headset Ive ever owned. As for sound quality, its probably not up to par for the audiophiles out there, but I personally think the audio is pretty decent. Everybody else seems to think theres a problem with the volume not being loud enough, but Ive been able to turn it up way past comfort levels. Comfort - Super comfortable and I have no problem with wearing these for extended periods of time. The Microphone - friends tell me its super clear. I love being able to retract the microphone into the unit. Software - easy to use and useful. The LEDs are a cool feature even though you cant see anything when you wear it. Build quality is excellent on this piece and everything feels to be built with high quality materials Cons - its super huge and doesnt sit around my neck very well when I want to take it off but dont want to put it down. For this review, Ill be comparing this mouse to the Logitech G502. I recently purchased both mice and have had a few weeks to use both. They are two of the most popular gaming mice on the market and direct competitors, so this comparison should prove useful for some. First off, this is the most beautiful mouse Ive ever seen. The build quality is incredible and a huge step above any mouse Ive used before. The aluminum chassis, rubberized top and sandpaper-like sides make for an incredibly well crafted device. The switches have what I would consider elegant actuation, with good tactile feel that is smooth with a satisfying, muted click noise. The scroll wheel feels elegant as well, with a really nice rubber material and super smooth scrolling action. The LED implementation is also really nice, with a beautifully lit scroll wheel area and brilliant illumination on the back of the mouse. This mouse illuminates the mouse pad and just looks really great, with the option to cycle through the RGB colors or use static colors. In short, its the best built and best looking mouse Ive seen, and possibly the best looking peripheral Ive ever used- on par with Corsairs gorgeous keyboards. Compared to the G502, this mouse is a step above in build quality and looks. The tracking on this mouse is excellent. It contains a pixart 3360 sensor, regarded as the best optical sensor on the market. The tracking is extremely accurate. The G502 contains a 3366 (Logitechs variant of the same sensor), so they are very similar. Having said that, I do feel that the G502 is slightly more accurate and responsive. Its hard to articulate what the difference is, its more of a feel you get using both mice. The G502 just seems to track basically perfectly, whereas I did have slightly more trouble aiming with pinpoint accuracy with this mouse. In reality though, the difference would probably be imperceptible to most users. The location of the "sniper button" is right where your thumb would normally rest. This would present a problem, but the button does require decent actuation force, so I never found myself accidentally activating it while playing. I was able to lift the mouse just fine as well. I do like the location of the "sniper button" on the G502 a bit more, where its located just at the tip of your thumb. It totally prevents any accidental press of the button, and just felt a little more natural to me. Now we get to the main issue I have with this mouse, and the reason I deducted one star. The shape and weight of this mouse will not be for everyone. Its shorter than most mice, while also being a bit stocky and wide. I use a fingertip type grip where my palm sort of floats above the top surface of the mouse, so I didnt have much of an issue adapting to the shape. However for those with a true palm grip, I doubt they would find this mouse comfortable. I think its probably made mostly for claw grip, and probably most fingertip users will find it comfortable as well (such as myself). However in comparison to the G502, this M65 is decidedly less comfortable. The G502 fits me like a glove. I especially like the extended thumb rest on the G502, and I prefer the grippy textured sides to the sandpaper-like sides of this M65. Aiming and lifting just feels more natural on the G502 for me. The weight of this mouse is probably its major issue. It comes with 3 weights installed in the underside of the mouse, and its just plain heavy. With the weights installed, I found difficult in lifting the mouse without my fingers slipping, and quick wrist actions for aiming are a bit more difficult than on lighter mice. I find it interesting that a mouse marketed as an FPS mouse would be so heavy out of the box. I removed all 3 of the weights, and its definitely much better. The G502 is also considered a heavy mouse, but it comes without the weights installed. I think without weights, the M65 still feels slightly heavier than the G502. Its definitely something to keep in mind for people who prefer lighter mice. The mouse is just heavy, no getting around it. Other than the stock/short size and the weight, this mouse is incredible. It looks so elegant next to my Corsair K70 keyboard, and it just exudes a quality of build that Ive never seen in a mouse before. Most mice are full of plastic, as the G502 is. The M65 will instantly impress you with how well its made and how great it looks. However, looks are not enough for me to recommend this mouse over the G502. I think the G502 is probably the best mouse Ive ever used, even though it looks overly "gamery" and has a plasticy build quality. It just sports more cool features (free scroll wheel being my favorite) and is supremely comfortable. However for those of you who have owned Corsair mice in the past, or who prioritize looks over slightly better performance, the M65 Pro RGB is a wonderful mouse. I would consider it the second best mouse Ive ever used, and this is coming from a loyal MX518 and G400 user. The middle button started to malfunction which I have never experienced before, but because I loved this mouse so much I decided to just get another one and use my semi broken one on another PC. I un-boxed the new one and started using it immediately on my games. After only 2 hours, I noticed my thumb hurting as if i dragged it over sandpaper. Literally red and throbbing. The sides of this mouse have some sort of coating on it that must be non slip or something, its totally different than the same mouse from a year ago, which was very smooth and comfortable. Using this mouse is literally painful. If your a gamer and have the mouse in your hand for 10-15 hours a day, you will most likely have the skin rubbed off your index finger and thumb, because this awful sand paper coating is on both sides. They had a perfect mouse less the issue with the middle mouse button failing early...and now its totally worthless. If you attempt to do the update right from the start along with the initial instal (as the pop up screen will ask you to do upon initial start-up) you may run into some very severe issues. I did as have many others. Google it. It can cause the game to not play and freeze on a black screen and then take several hours to delete the bad patch. So, just remember to disconnect from the web first. Then install the game. Then reconnect to the web and do any updates. You will be glad you did. If you did not have this problem, good for you. I did and so did many others. Like I said, google it. I have been playing the game for a couple of hours now. About half as much time as it took to deal with the install issues. Game seems fine. I dont imagine it sucking. However, it can never get better than 3 stars from me given the terrible software issue upon install. It was just rediculous. Note too that if you already did the update that causes the freezing and are trying to delete it, it can take over 2 hours to delete. I used to be really into the Xbox 360 and got in PS3 pretty late so I missed a lot of PS3 games when they first came out. After recently playing resistance 3 let me just say WOW! Where to begin? Ill split it into three sections. Here we go. Story: Even though you dont have to play the first two resistance games to know whats going on is recommend it. The story I thought was pretty good. I liked the characters and there were some parts where the story had me like aw why did that happen? Haha it had me really into it. Its fairly long too. I like to take some breaks when playin a game. I think it took me three days to finish up the single player story. Overall I thought it was good. Graphics: The graphics are pretty damn good in resistance 3. Id say its probably one of the best looking games on the PS3. Right next to uncharted games and kill zone 2 and 3. Gameplay: Gameplay is great. I do enjoy first person shooters. Resistance 3 has you in some pretty good gun fights. There are moments when youll be fighting alone. Others times youll be up against giant monsters in boss fights. You can also upgrade weapons you use in the game which is pretty cool. Verdict: Resistance 3 is a damn good game. I honestly regret not play this one back in the day. You dont have the luxury of a self regenerating character and while it takes some massive damage to finish your character off unless you can find some health packs on every corner you have to be careful. Later youre trying to survive being captured by a bunch of crazed escaped inmates in a decrepit prison. Theres even a thrilling train sequence that reminded me of "Uncharted 2," and a nightmarish town that reminded me of Ravenholm from "Half-Life 2." The cool weapons are the other key to "R3s" success; all of them level up through use and can be accessed via the weapon wheel as in "R:FoM," replacing only holding 2 at a time as in "R2." One new weapon lets you freeze enemies solid and then shatter them into pieces. Another makes green bubbly spores develop and then explode. There was online competitive and co-op multiplayer, but the servers were shut off in April of 2014. While searching for it, however, I came across Ankers newest entry, the SoundCore Sport XL. Given the price, my general satisfaction with Anker, and Amazons solid return policy, I decided to give both speakers a try. Ill note that the SoundCore Sport XL is probably more comparable to the JBL Charge 2 given that both units have a USB port to let you charge your phone or other device. The Flip 3 doesnt have charging output port. If you want the shortest possible answer: Were keeping the Flip 3 and giving the SoundCore XL as a gift. But it was almost a coin toss about which was going to stay. Sound: I wanted this speaker to have enough volume for modest outdoor gatherings (both meet that criteria, though the Flip 3 is probably a touch louder) and sound good enough that I wouldnt mind having it playing in the house. Im also biased against todays tendency for consumer speakers to emphasize bass response over every other frequency range. If you like your music boom-y, Im not going to like the same speakers that you will. My wife and I listened to each of them across a wide range of music from classical to folk to hip-hop to pop to hard rock, trying to get a sense of which we liked better. The answer, as it turned out, was "it depends." The Flip 3 is definitely not as "flat" audibly as the SoundCore. Within the limits of what you can do with a small speaker, the Flip seems to emphasize the bass and treble ends of the spectrum more. High treble even sounded unnaturally "sizzly" for a couple songs. In others, the vocalist almost seemed a bit buried under the rest of the mix--though never disturbingly so. (Were talking nuance here, and your ears may have a different experience.) The SoundCore is definitely more flat sounding. It doesnt produce as much bass as the Flip, but thats not necessarily a bad thing, and it never had the sizzling issue in the treble. It just sounds...even. People used to the punchy sound emphasized by consumer speaker and headphone manufacturers, however, may find that the music lacks a bit of life. Which did we prefer? Ultimately it depended on what we were playing. Folk, country and music from the 70s and 80s that clearly was mixed with the intent of playing over the radio we often preferred on the SoundCore. More current pop, rock, and hip-hop sounded better to us on the JBL. In the final count, the JBL came out on top, but not by much. Ive been listening to both for a few days now, switching back and forth every so often, and I find that Im inclined toward the JBL, but I certainly dont mind the SoundCore. Size and Build: The SoundCore Sport XL is about 7 x 3 x 1.75 inches and wrapped in what feels like very sturdy, slightly rubbery plastic. Its definitely heavy in your hand and makes you feel confident that it can hold up to some rigorous outdoor use. The biggest issue with the design is that I found myself constantly grabbing into the bass port on the back, which includes a metal cover over a stretchy membrane for a passive woofer. I have no idea if pushing on the cover would damage the passive woofer, but it was disconcerting. The Flip 3 is 6.5 x 2.5 inches and covered in a dense fabric with hard plastic ends. Its slightly lighter in the hand, and the cylindrical shape makes it more comfortable to pick up and carry around. It feels solidly built if not quite as tank-like as the SoundCore. Never before has someone created this combination of size, sound quality, loudness, bass response, splash proof all for only $99! I have previously owned UE boom, Denon Envaya mini and JBL charge plus 2. These are the Flip 3s closest competitors. Here is my summary of the competition. UE boom: the reason I believe the UE boom is so popular is the form factor is just right and its loud for its size. What I dont like about the UE Boom is its $200 price tag and almost no bass whatsoever. Denon Envaya Mini: so close, I just wish it was louder and the battery would only last a few hours a moderate volumes. JBL Charge 2+: overall really good speaker, my two issues are, the sound profile is too bloated. Yes it has good bass for its side but it tends to drown out the higher frequencies and has quite a bit of dynamic compression at high volumes. Also I just wish it was a little smaller to fit in camping chair cup holders and more portable. And now for the JBL flip 3: its as loud as the UE boom, does not have the battery life issues of the Denon and does not have bloated bass like the charge 2+. The sound profile is well balanced, the upper frequencies are slightly upfront with decent bass for its size. My prediction, this will be the best selling Bluetooth speaker in its class! The game looks fantastic, controls are spot on, and there is variety in vehicle selection to keep things lively. Having been a huge fan of Dirt 2, I was pretty excited to get my hands on a copy of Dirt 3. Their claim that they are returning to their rally roots only heightened this excitement. I was confused by the game cover, but I also realize they need to turn a profit and get as many people to buy their game as possible, so in my mind they were just trying to reach out to people who do not find WRC style-racing their cup of tea. In my mind, a rally oriented game should have you spending most of your time pretty much raising against the clock and occasionally seeing other racers on the track. I didnt care much for the X-games feel of Dirt2, but Dirt 3 doesnt feel all that different to me. A lot of time and effort was put into the Gymkhana events and X-Game events are still there. There are six main race modes: rally- point to point racing where you have a co-driver helping you navigate to the finish line. trailblazer- point to point racing where no co-driver assists you and faster vehicles are available. head2head- You are on a track and you race another driver (with no contact possible). Landrush- You race around a track in either trucks or buggies (full contact). RallyCross- You race around a track in cars (full contact). Gymkhana- You perform "tricks" to gain points to beat the competition. To me, only the first two count as rally but a fair amount of time is given to each racing mode. Head2head, Landrush, and rallycross offer a nice variety to the mix and keep things fresh. And Gymkhana....well Im not sure how that fits in there. Many people are thrilled to have it, but I saw it as a nuisance. You perform the same tricks over and over and over again. Basically you need to master drifting and driving around in a circle without falling asleep (think NASCAR, but a MUCH tighter circle). But my biggest gripe about the game have to do with DLC. At the time of this review the game has been out for less than a month and content was just released that you need to pay for. This is no secret, one glance at the trophy list reveals that at this point there will be additional content to come. This does not bother me. What DOES bother me as that when you play the game you are constantly reminded that you do not have access to all the vehicles. I will need to go the PSN store to download what ends up being five cars for six dollars. This has left me with the impression that I do not have a complete game. I bought the game at full price, but I did not get the full product. I understand having additional content, as well as the VIP Pass, but do I need to be reminded of it every single time I want to race? This has left me with a sour taste in my mouth for this game. I am sure many people have no problems with this, but consider what your garage will look like when all DLC content is out (and especially if you ended up buying the game used and do not want to buy the VIP Pass). As of now I have no plans of buying the DLC. I hate to be a Negative Nancy, but I have seen only positive reviews, and the 1-star reviews for this game on Amazon are pretty much non-reviews. I just feel like a few things should be highlighted to give a broader picture of what the game has in store for those who buy it. For many, these issues will not apply. Dirt 3 (despite all of this complaining) is still a great game, and in terms of off-road racing I have not played anything that compares to it with the exception of Dirt 2. When GT5 came out I was going to buy it, but it was a big deception, you cant even get out of track cause youll hit an invisible shield (what a shame) and dirt look very bad, it disappears when you go through it. On the other hand in this game I have found no flaws. You can even upload your replays to youtube, which may take some time but it worth it. You get Rally, Rally Cross, Land Rush, Trail Blazing, Gymkhana, Baja. On asphalt, dirt and snow. Pros: Great Graphics, single race, offline multiplayer (2), physics, dirt looks, snow tracks, flash backs, you can choose between old or new cars even 60s (60s,70s,80s,90s) on some kind of races. Cons: Not so real when landing a jump(this may not seem as a con for everybody), some times the game crashes when using flash backs continuously (just like 2 times) and some times you really need to use the flashback. Dirt3 is a very fundamentally sound racer/rally game. You begin the career mode with some simple rallies and rally-cross events. As you progress the events progress in some degree of difficulty. Beginning rally stages are short with few tricky turns and gradually the difficulty of the rally stages gets harder. Some of the later hill climb events can be challenging with the extremely quick dedicated hill climb vehicles. The rally-cross events are a lot of fun as you go fender to fender with other rally-Xers. The buggy rally-cross events were especially challenging for me. Each of the vehicle and especially vehicle classes are distinct with different types of vehicles handling differently. Later Gymkhana events are introduced as is drifting. The Gymkhana events are a great change of pace from the other more traditional "rally" fare and are fun. Doing doughnuts around pylons and taking out targets in a 4 wheel drift is very satisfying and challenging. The Gymkhana events are not easy. Overall, this is a great racing/rally game and I would highly recommend it. Side by side product is identical, perfect match black for my black with red trim Garmin 10. Getting the old band off took maybe 10 seconds each but getting the new ones on was impossible. The injection molded hard plastic piece of the bands (not visible) would not allow the pins to go through even when not attached. I had to use a dremel tools to sand down the hards plastic to allow the pins to go through and then I attached them and even then it was not easy. Fits very nicely on the X, but wish that there was more of a lip for the back camera, as well as the front screen. The case does not exactly have a thick enough lip covering those two areas, whereas previously, their was a significant lip on their cases for the iPhone 6 that protected the camera and screen quite well (especially when placing on a flat surface, you dont have to worry about it scratching). I bought their previous cases for my iPhone 6 and am really happy with their protection from drops and designs. I kind of wish they offered the blue and gold combo from their parallax series for the iPhone 6. Fits my phone and case perfectly. It doesnt interfere with my UAG case, the home button or the sensors, but it does cover up the camera. Easy to install, it comes with everything you need to do a really clean install, but the install instructions were missing so I had to use the ones on the listing pics. The screen protector is not too thick either. I now prefer tempered glass over the older style plastic screen protectors just because its like having a second glass screen for my phone with the added protection. I would even say there are some references to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I loved the battle of wits! I played this game with my 5 and 8 year old and Im not sure I would have passed some parts without their help. I truly enjoyed chapter 1 so far....we got roughly 4-5 hrs of game play out of it...now on to Chapter 2! If you remember KQ from the original PC days, love the quirkiness of The Princess Bride and enjoy beautiful animation similar to Dragonslayer then there is no doubt will enjoy this game. The game play seams together exceptionally well based on your choices. The only bug I found was with the Battle of strength when the knight would get stuck but there are workarounds. Enjoy!
