Comfort and sound slightly worse than my MDR-1000X’s but for gaming (especially the zero latency) it’s pretty fantastic. I was previously using a very good corded Sennheiser headset but the cable kept getting run over or tangled in my chair, so it’s great having zero anxiety around that (plus, 20 hour battery life? This headset is loud and if you fiddle with the equalizer enough, you will have a great pair of speakers on your head. I listen to electronic music a ton, and its super important that I hear the different levels that the certain song gives - these do an amazing job. Even vocal driven songs sound great. The bass is a little high, but I turned that down so that the treb and the bass are pretty equal. (Ive included my equalizers for iTunes and the engine for those that are interested so they can check it out.) The next best thing is the comfort. Oh my goodness, are they comfortable. Ive been wearing them for a while now and I can see how people say they are stiff when you first get them, but they will loosen after you wear them enough. They are causing a tiny bit discomfort, but I have faith that they will stretch. My ears also tend to be very sensitive are get very irritated after a little while when they have something pressing against them, but the ear covers are exceptional. Very roomy for my ears and there is nothing irritating them for the time I have been wearing the headset. I am however going to jump straight into the one problem they have. There is a major clicking in the mic when I use the given sound card with the mirco plug in. Its horrifying how loud the clicking is. I am pretty sure this is a problem with the sound card - not the software. A lot of people have been addressing this clicking issue for a year now and Steelseries is really horrible about the issue and has no fix for it. The only ACTUAL FIX for the headset is using the 3.5mm jacks with the soundcard instead of the micro USB - but you lose the lights on the headset if you used the 3.5mm. Funny thing is, I intended to use this headset with the Siberia USB External Soundcard anyways because I heard there were sound issues and mic issues with the given sound card. So I knew from the get-go that I wasnt going to use the lights on the headset. It still sucks incredibly because the biggest selling point for this headset is the color changing lights. The fact that you cant even use them without having a clicking mic, is why I gave them 3 stars. 150 dollars for a headset thats supposed to have lights but you cant use - is pretty awful. I would really like this headset to 100% amazing. Except the problems the mic has, along with Steelseries hardly caring about their defective products is a true bummer. I can live with it however and am pretty pleased. Overall, these headphones are awesome- probably the best gaming headset Ive ever owned. As for sound quality, its probably not up to par for the audiophiles out there, but I personally think the audio is pretty decent. Everybody else seems to think theres a problem with the volume not being loud enough, but Ive been able to turn it up way past comfort levels. Comfort - Super comfortable and I have no problem with wearing these for extended periods of time. The Microphone - friends tell me its super clear. I love being able to retract the microphone into the unit. Software - easy to use and useful. The LEDs are a cool feature even though you cant see anything when you wear it. Build quality is excellent on this piece and everything feels to be built with high quality materials Cons - its super huge and doesnt sit around my neck very well when I want to take it off but dont want to put it down. Ill probably buy some kind of headphone stand for this. Would be awesome if it had some kind of retractable cable or something. I bought a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones almost two years ago for my now twelve year old daughter, and I was so impressed with them that I decided to buy this pair after checking out all of the positive reviews. Well, the majority of reviews were spot-on. These things put out very good sound and I was most happy to hear that the bass was not overpowering. (That was my biggest fear before purchase). The battery life on these headphones is excellent, as well as the charging time. The fit is superb. Although they may be marketed as "on ear", they are nearly "over the ear" phones, and, very comfortable I might add. The cans arent too big and they arent too small....they are just right. (Funny, where have I heard that before?) They have virtually no sound leakage either (yes, sounds weird, but really, the person on the side of you wont hear all of your jam), which is especially good for those long airplane flights or bus rides. And last but not least, the price is right. At under one hundred dollars they simply cant be Beat(s). (No pun intended) Do yourself a favor,....stop racking your brain reading all these reviews, and buy these very good sounding, stylish, easy to use, easy to connect-to-Bluetooth, Bluetooth headphones. I think these are the best bluetooth headphones for 100 bucks. Sony did a great job on these. Pros: 30 hours battery Nice design NFC pairing (just hold your phone to the NFC sign and it will automatically connect to them every time, even if the headphones are off) Great bluetooth range (can walk around my apartment and the connection does not suffer anywhere) They sound really good. Better than my beats headphones. No cons for me. Now if you compare them to the XB950s there are some differences. I believe they both have their pros and cons. The XB650s have these things over the XB950s: Better design. These are much smaller and they dont look like huge earmuffs like the 950s. 30 hours battery life compared to the 20 hours on the XB950s. Lighter in weight compared to the XB950s. These actually tell you the battery level compared to the XB950s which you have to look at confusing light pulses. Better balanced sound and still has a lot of bass. The XB950s have these things over the XB650s: It has an AUX port if you decide not to use bluetooth. The XB650s do not have an AUX port. It has an "extra bass" button and the XB650s do not. Sound is a tiny bit louder than the XB650s. Overall I think the XB650s are better. The aux port that the 950s have is not a big deal to me because my laptop and phone have bluetooth. Also, the aux port on the 950s only work with that specific aux cable that it comes with. The headphones design makes it so that other aux cables will not be able to fit in the slot. The Extra bass boost button on the 950s are also not a big deal to me. The 950s without the bass boost already sound really bass heavy and the button is just overkill. And I like bass. I mostly listen to hiphop too so its not like I am a person listening to classical music. I do like that the 950s are a little bit louder. But its not a real big difference and definitely not enough of a difference for me to choose the 950s over the 650s. I would say that the 650s are bass heavy headphones and the 950s are a little bit too much even without the bass boost on. Overall, the smaller look, the longer battery life, the more balanced sound are all reasons why I chose the 650s over the 950s. And the 650s are 98 bucks right now on amazon. Definitely worth the money. Ive had the 950s for since around Christmas so about 5 months and they have been my main headphones until now that I got the 650s. I just really did not like how the 950s look like huge earmuffs on your head. They also felt heavy while wearing them. The 650s took care of these issues and are now my go to headphones. My wife has a pair of the 950s that I really liked (bass is ridiculous but better to have too much and EQ it out). Unfortunately the 950s cost $200 and I just didnt feel like going there for my sometimes-y listening. I saw these for $130 and while still above what I wanted to spend, they had a pair at the store in a listening kiosk and I was blown away. They actually sounded better balanced than the 950s (which were also in the kiosk) yet still churned out tons of bass. Here are my explained thoughts: Build Quality (B): "Very" lightweight with a metal band connecting the cans via a sandwich of generic plastic that have decent adjustability. The cups can swivel 180 deg so you can lay them around your neck in a little more comfort or store them flat. They dont feel expensive but dont look cheap. I got black cause Im not flashy but saw the blue and red and they certainly show off some of the design elements better. Fit, Comfort, Operation (A): I usually prefer over-the-ear headphones but these on-the-ear phones do an amazing job of creating a seal that keeps bleed in or out very low. They are very lightweight so fatigue should not be an issue and theres no pressure points on the ears or on the top of the head. The controls are all on the right cup and work smoothly and provide great feedback. Uses standard micro USB for charging. This set does not have a wired option like the 950. I have not run the battery down as I charge it every other night I use it and I probably never will if it gets even close to the 30 hours of battery advertised. Sound (A): The most important part. There is a strong V profile to all these "ExtraBass" headsets and some people may be bothered by this colored sound but it does a good job of presenting you good amounts of everything from low to high. The bass is strong but not silly like the 950s are capable of. I did EQ everything from 125Hz down by -3db to get to my taste. Highs and mids are crisp and clean and overall reproduction should sound great most ears. Time will tell how well they hold up but the sound is amazing, comfort is high and the price (at least for me) was very reasonable. I did not purchase from Amazon (had store credit for a return). Tough, but fun as can be. Too bad about the install issues I listed in the original review. This woulda been a 4 or 5 star rating for the campaign play. Original review: I needed to get this review up right away to hopefully save others great frustration. Before you put the disc in your PS3 for the first time, disconnect from the Internet and DO NOT do the update. Only after the game has been installed should you attempt any updates. If you attempt to do the update right from the start along with the initial instal (as the pop up screen will ask you to do upon initial start-up) you may run into some very severe issues. I did as have many others. Google it. It can cause the game to not play and freeze on a black screen and then take several hours to delete the bad patch. So, just remember to disconnect from the web first. Then install the game. Then reconnect to the web and do any updates. You will be glad you did. If you did not have this problem, good for you. I did and so did many others. Like I said, google it. I have been playing the game for a couple of hours now. About half as much time as it took to deal with the install issues. Game seems fine. I dont imagine it sucking. However, it can never get better than 3 stars from me given the terrible software issue upon install. It was just rediculous. Note too that if you already did the update that causes the freezing and are trying to delete it, it can take over 2 hours to delete. I used to be really into the Xbox 360 and got in PS3 pretty late so I missed a lot of PS3 games when they first came out. After recently playing resistance 3 let me just say WOW! Where to begin? Ill split it into three sections. Here we go. Story: Even though you dont have to play the first two resistance games to know whats going on is recommend it. The story I thought was pretty good. I liked the characters and there were some parts where the story had me like aw why did that happen? Haha it had me really into it. Its fairly long too. I like to take some breaks when playin a game. I think it took me three days to finish up the single player story. Overall I thought it was good. Graphics: The graphics are pretty damn good in resistance 3. Id say its probably one of the best looking games on the PS3. Right next to uncharted games and kill zone 2 and 3. Gameplay: Gameplay is great. I do enjoy first person shooters. Resistance 3 has you in some pretty good gun fights. There are moments when youll be fighting alone. Others times youll be up against giant monsters in boss fights. You can also upgrade weapons you use in the game which is pretty cool. Verdict: Resistance 3 is a damn good game. I honestly regret not play this one back in the day. If you own a PS3 and havent played resistance 3 then shoot get out there and grab a copy. Its a lot of fun. Also if youre like me and have become spoiled with your character being able to regenerate from injuries without the aid of a health pack then expect some annoyance as this game is like that. You dont have the luxury of a self regenerating character and while it takes some massive damage to finish your character off unless you can find some health packs on every corner you have to be careful. Still the game is incredible and if you already have the first or second game then this is a definite must to add to your PS3 game library. The first one had clunky controls while 2 it was just difficult and stressful. 3 takes place after 2. The protagonist from 2 is killed from the new protagonist of 3. As for the story driven I feel that 2 was slightly more interesting although 3 has its good qualities of a story. The graphics are better than the past two like a better update. The guns get some sort of upgrade after using them a lot. I cant go full in the games story details but its pretty great. Like most campaigns this one is fairly shorter than the other 2 but its still fun overall even a second gameplay. Capelli has to trek cross-country to New York in order to destroy a gigantic terraforming machine before it drops the temperature so low that the planet can no longer sustain human life. His journey takes you to a number of great locals, the variety of which is one of the best aspects of the game. You start in a rundown, bleak dust bowl of a village with few survivors. Soon youre fighting off hordes of enemies while traveling on a tug boat down a creepy, mist-covered river. Later youre trying to survive being captured by a bunch of crazed escaped inmates in a decrepit prison. Theres even a thrilling train sequence that reminded me of "Uncharted 2," and a nightmarish town that reminded me of Ravenholm from "Half-Life 2." The cool weapons are the other key to "R3s" success; all of them level up through use and can be accessed via the weapon wheel as in "R:FoM," replacing only holding 2 at a time as in "R2." One new weapon lets you freeze enemies solid and then shatter them into pieces. Another makes green bubbly spores develop and then explode. There was online competitive and co-op multiplayer, but the servers were shut off in April of 2014. The instructions call for downloading the controller software, but that is for Windows only (once you find it on the site) and I have a Mac. I downloaded some Mac software but it kept quitting unexpectedly. At one point I was convinced that I needed to buy additional controller hardware. After I started downloading a Windows VM image so that I could then download the controller software, another reviewer (thank you) pointed out that the controller software only discovers the IP address and all configuration is done through the web at the access point IP address. That grossly simplified things for me. I queried my DHCP server for the devices IP address (the only TP-Link device in the list of clients), logged in using the default credentials (which required searching the web), and I was off to the races. Once I realized that the instructions created more problems than solutions, all was well. This is a 5-star product if they would exclude the configuration instructions. I am docking it one star for the misleading instructions. My existing router/AP is on one side of a large house, creating dead zones on the other floors at the opposite end of the house. I installed this AP on the side of a bookshelf in my home office at the opposite end of the house, and now my home is flooded with 2.4GHz and 5GHz of WiFi goodness. In fact, my cell phone prefers this signal over the (already very good) existing router/AP signal in every room except where the existing router/AP is located. If you have dead zones where an ethernet port is located, buy this, plug it in, mount it, then throw away the instructions. You will be happy with the purchase. Log into your router and view network devices (or dhcp history) to find its IP, then connect to that ip in your browser. The AP uses dhcp by default, so you should be able to find its address easily. After connecting to the web UI, it will ask for a password (default was admin:admin I think). I bought this for residential use, to extend wifi to the back rooms of the house. Dissapointed with residential routers and extenders by Netgear and Asus that would drop out or crash periodically, I turned to this. I already had ethernet run through the closets and walls, so this was a good fit, as I could just punch through the wall to mount it up high, and power it with POE. I just had to buy a gigabit poe injector along with this unit, as my router is not gigabit POE.  iCreatin 48V35W Gigabit Power over Ethernet POE Injector Adapter Power supply,1000Mbps IEEE 802.3af/at Compliant, Up to 100 Meters (328 Feet) This product supports ceiling rail mounting (commercial buildings), ceiling tile mounting (also commercial), and keyhole ceiling/wall mounting. The hardware for all options is provided, though the screws for wall mounting are a little too short to go through drywall into a stud, and the drywall anchors are the bad hex type that do not expand and can push too far into the wall. A 12v quality power supply is provided as well, if you do not intend to use POE. No ethernet cable is provided. Performance and compatability on various channels is very good. Range is excellent. This is a commercial grade product. It supports 99 wireless clients. It does not need to be restarted or fooled with once set up, as it is designed for 24/7 load. The web interface is clean and simple to allow managing the AP. You do not need to use their EAP software. SSH is supported as well. The unit does not do routing, NAT, etc. Use a router/gateway for that. VLAN and management VLAN is supported. Portal is also suppoted, which allows you to give tokens out to users for temporary access (like giving patrons in a restaraunt wifi for 1 hour). You can disable the front LED status light (default green when on). The ethernet port does not flash. 2.4 and 5 gig bands have excellent range when mounted up high. Devices with line of sight get 800+ mbps connections over AC. Dumb devices (pcs, phones, android TV) that have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz will be automatically connected to the 5ghz band if signal strength is good, which is a nice feature to clean up wifi congestion. Been using this for some months without issue, so I purchased a second, to replace an existing ap and extend coverage. They never bog down or need to be restarted. I have worked with many of the higher end APs (I used to be a wireless engineer & RF designer), and this unit blew my socks off on how well it worked and the features vs. cost. (One note - if you are using this with a VPN, you may need to lower frame sizes at your router. If your VPN crashes your DSL, you will need to look at that. I had that issue and reduced frame size at the router and fixed it). This unit can do everything from SNMP, VLANs, fencing (guest networks), multi-band (I use both, and they work fine), full MAC filtering and ACLs, and it even has management software! It can do variable channel width, auto channel, adjustable Tx power, and can load balance with other TP-Link APs to make sure 1 AP does not have too many clients on it. It can also perform QoS traffic prioritization and rogue AP detection. My only negative is that the connections are on the outside of the unit, so you may not want to have it where someone can mess with it (like kids in schools, etc). It even has ceiling grid mounting, so I would not hesitate to deploy this at a small office. Performance has been very good, and it just runs and runs. Never need to reboot it or anything. Get the PoE injector to mount it anywhere. In my opinion, this unit really comes close to matching up with units costing many times more than this one. Just plug into your network I own two. My first one was supposed to go outside, but it worked better than my preexisting inside access point, so I left the first one inside (it looks nice), and bought another for outside. I havent set up the second one for outside because it is now cold and the signal from the first one is covering more of my outside space than the one I had before. No one gives me free stuff....
