Intermittently it would shut off and say that this accessory is not supported but if I unplug it and flip it, it miraculously starts working again. Very strange... I gave this mouse to my husband, and he says he loves this mouse and its perfect for his large hands. (I have changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars because my husband loves it better than his old style Naga, but if you have small hands then I dont think this will be comfortable for you). I have switched to a Logitech G403 and find that its much better for smaller hands. I have been using a Razer Naga MMOG for years for games like WoW and FFXIV. Well, the left and right top buttons were no longer responsive, so I decided to get the Razer Naga Chroma MMO corded mouse as a replacement. The price is great on Amazon, and I love the cycling lights. I also like that the number pad keys stick out more than my previous Naga, making the keys easier to find by touch. The new Naga has a rougher texture than the old Naga. Im used to the smooth texture, so that will take some getting used to. Now, despite being larger than my old Naga, it is about 5 grams lighter. Not a game changer, but something to be aware of. The biggest issue for me is the large size of this mouse. I am female and my hands arent that big (6.5 inches from bottom of palm to top of middle finger, 3 inches across middle of palm). The mouse is wider and slightly taller than my old one. This makes it a little awkward and uncomfortable to grip. If your hand is larger than mine, then this will probably be great for you. I understand that Razers demographic will for the most part have larger hands than mine. If I cant get used to the mouse, then Ill most likely give it to my husband to use and find something different. Ler mais 2,0 de 5 estrelas Love or hate shape? Razer synapse took a disappointing turn.... The part of the mouse protruding out of the right side is what made it uncomfortable for me. The thumb grip position between all the buttons also forced me to hold the mouse in one set position rather than being free to adjust my grip. Just didnt work for me. Also, you have to have razer synapse open all the time in order to use your profiles or use custom dpi values... the moment you close synapse, the dpi values revert to the default pre-programmed ones. I also just re-bought a razer mamba, and while I was able to save profiles to the on-board memory just a few months ago via razer synapse, close it, and continue to use those profiles just fine without synapse open when i originally tried out the mamba, now I cannot do that either. i.e. the new razer synapse doesnt allow you to save profiles to the on-board memory of a mouse that previously, just a few months ago mind you, was able to actually use its on-board memory... I dont know why razer did that but it really sucks imo. I remember when synapse didnt even ask you to log in, it was just plug and play. You chose whether to save the profile on synapse or the mouses on-board memory. Now your telling me I cant even use the on-board memory of a mice??? Im really sick of this always online/interconnected baloney these days. Other than that, the mouse was almost perfect. I really liked the buttons around the thumb grip. And there is something about the 16000 dpi 5g laser sensor in older razer mice that just feels so darn good... even newer mice like the logitech g pro dont feel as good to me. Of course, this is just personal opinion. Also, the shape may be just what your looking for for all I know - again, I was just stating how I felt about it. It has many display settings (colors, color-cycling, etc.) and each button can be programmed to do whatever you want, so as a gamer, he is absolutely thrilled with it. He also loved the shape (very ergonomic) and that the texture has better grip, as opposed to his older version that was very smooth and not the easiest to hang on to when youre trying to move quickly. It also allows you to speed up or slow down the response time of the mouses movements on-screen, so he can customize it to exactly what he needs. Were both really happy with the purchase! I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of options I have for programming this mouse. The grip itself is awesome! I love it so much! I really like that I have the option to dim the LEDs from 33% to 100%. At 100% brightness, the unit gets a bit warm, but I couldnt care less. Its just keeping the place warm for me until I come back -_o I now have my buttons set to change between Windows 10 virtual desktops by using a macro of "ctrl + win + left" & "ctrl + win + right". I also have the task manager on one, but I wasnt able to setup a macro to get through opening a program that needs UAC ok/cancel. I was a bit disappointed at that, but I will get over it. Ive owned every iteration of the Razer Naga and I cant imagine playing games without it. The 12 buttons on the side make it easy to switch weapons in FPS games and use entire action bar in MMOs just by using the thumb. I primarily use it for playing MMOs and having the entire damage rotation and targeting in one hand is very convenient. This iteration added ability to quickly step up or down DPI on the mouse making it more or less sensitive for when you need that extra precision. This is not as useful in MMO games but helps a great deal when playing a sniper in FPS games. Being able to create macros for the buttons makes it even more convenient if you need to do a sequence of events with a single button press. The mouse overall feels well built and fits my hand perfectly. Up until recently I have always had good luck with these and they have been solid, however in the past few months, I have had three failures on drives that were less than a year old. I have this set up as an internal Wireless LAN at my home and store all my video and music content on this drive. With the N900 wireless this does for me more than any DVR out there can since I can access it from any device in my house including my desktop. Great combination. My plan is to add in a couple wireless surveillance cameras to the setup in the near future, and I expect it to continue to work just as good for that purpose as it does for my multimedia streaming. With the help of Google and YouTube I was able to build my Pi exactly the way I wanted and am very happy with the results. I run Retropie Raspbian and Kodi on a triple boot build and cant be more pleased. I was in the market to buy the mini classic Nintendo to relive some old fun, but wasnt willing to pay the exorbitant price for minimal use. I wanted to be able to play all the old games and any time I wanted. In addition to this I wanted to get into this Kodi craze and take full advantage of the internet. After some painstaking research I found the solution to all my desires would be a Raspberry Pi. As I said early, I decided to build it myself and it came with its challenges, but I did succeed in the end. The onboard Wifi works very well and the processing speed meets all my needs without overheating. I did buy a case with heatsinks, so this may have helped. One thing I would recommend is not buying the preloaded NOOBS micro SD card. It is a waste of money since you can just download NOOBS to your own card. This is still by far the best micro computer you can buy. all the common outputs, wifi. plenty of i/o, ample horsepower and expandable storage. When im putting together projects this is usually my go to. This little board can multitask and host a full os. So a I can build out a full web interface and serve it right off this device. There are so many resources online for this from beginner to advanced, or you could just load raspbian, plug in a wireless mouse and keyboard and slap it behind your tv as a mini computer. I often find myself using this in conjunction with an arduino or multiple arduinos for that matter. I also bought an enclosure with heatsinks, power supply with switch, and a cooling fan on Amazon, and I bought 2 snes style usb controllers. Everything was easy to setup. I have the rpi overclocked following some easy instructions I found online, and everything runs well with acceptable temperatures. I have a rpi 2 also. I love these little computers. The game looks fantastic, controls are spot on, and there is variety in vehicle selection to keep things lively. Having been a huge fan of Dirt 2, I was pretty excited to get my hands on a copy of Dirt 3. Their claim that they are returning to their rally roots only heightened this excitement. I was confused by the game cover, but I also realize they need to turn a profit and get as many people to buy their game as possible, so in my mind they were just trying to reach out to people who do not find WRC style-racing their cup of tea. In my mind, a rally oriented game should have you spending most of your time pretty much raising against the clock and occasionally seeing other racers on the track. I didnt care much for the X-games feel of Dirt2, but Dirt 3 doesnt feel all that different to me. A lot of time and effort was put into the Gymkhana events and X-Game events are still there. There are six main race modes: rally- point to point racing where you have a co-driver helping you navigate to the finish line. trailblazer- point to point racing where no co-driver assists you and faster vehicles are available. head2head- You are on a track and you race another driver (with no contact possible). Landrush- You race around a track in either trucks or buggies (full contact). RallyCross- You race around a track in cars (full contact). Gymkhana- You perform "tricks" to gain points to beat the competition. To me, only the first two count as rally but a fair amount of time is given to each racing mode. Head2head, Landrush, and rallycross offer a nice variety to the mix and keep things fresh. And Gymkhana....well Im not sure how that fits in there. Many people are thrilled to have it, but I saw it as a nuisance. You perform the same tricks over and over and over again. Basically you need to master drifting and driving around in a circle without falling asleep (think NASCAR, but a MUCH tighter circle). But my biggest gripe about the game have to do with DLC. At the time of this review the game has been out for less than a month and content was just released that you need to pay for. This is no secret, one glance at the trophy list reveals that at this point there will be additional content to come. This does not bother me. What DOES bother me as that when you play the game you are constantly reminded that you do not have access to all the vehicles. I will need to go the PSN store to download what ends up being five cars for six dollars. This has left me with the impression that I do not have a complete game. I bought the game at full price, but I did not get the full product. I understand having additional content, as well as the VIP Pass, but do I need to be reminded of it every single time I want to race? This has left me with a sour taste in my mouth for this game. I am sure many people have no problems with this, but consider what your garage will look like when all DLC content is out (and especially if you ended up buying the game used and do not want to buy the VIP Pass). As of now I have no plans of buying the DLC. I hate to be a Negative Nancy, but I have seen only positive reviews, and the 1-star reviews for this game on Amazon are pretty much non-reviews. I just feel like a few things should be highlighted to give a broader picture of what the game has in store for those who buy it. For many, these issues will not apply. Dirt 3 (despite all of this complaining) is still a great game, and in terms of off-road racing I have not played anything that compares to it with the exception of Dirt 2. Now it has offline two player races and can have a single race without entering career mode!!!!!!!, the Gymkhana parks are very fun to play, you can spend lots of hours just trying to do the stunts asked in just one park, and I think there are like 3. If you like cars and racing, this IS THE GAME!. When GT5 came out I was going to buy it, but it was a big deception, you cant even get out of track cause youll hit an invisible shield (what a shame) and dirt look very bad, it disappears when you go through it. On the other hand in this game I have found no flaws. You can even upload your replays to youtube, which may take some time but it worth it. You get Rally, Rally Cross, Land Rush, Trail Blazing, Gymkhana, Baja. On asphalt, dirt and snow. Pros: Great Graphics, single race, offline multiplayer (2), physics, dirt looks, snow tracks, flash backs, you can choose between old or new cars even 60s (60s,70s,80s,90s) on some kind of races. Cons: Not so real when landing a jump(this may not seem as a con for everybody), some times the game crashes when using flash backs continuously (just like 2 times) and some times you really need to use the flashback. Dirt3 is a very fundamentally sound racer/rally game. You begin the career mode with some simple rallies and rally-cross events. As you progress the events progress in some degree of difficulty. Beginning rally stages are short with few tricky turns and gradually the difficulty of the rally stages gets harder. Some of the later hill climb events can be challenging with the extremely quick dedicated hill climb vehicles. The rally-cross events are a lot of fun as you go fender to fender with other rally-Xers. The buggy rally-cross events were especially challenging for me. Each of the vehicle and especially vehicle classes are distinct with different types of vehicles handling differently. Later Gymkhana events are introduced as is drifting. The Gymkhana events are a great change of pace from the other more traditional "rally" fare and are fun. Doing doughnuts around pylons and taking out targets in a 4 wheel drift is very satisfying and challenging. The Gymkhana events are not easy. Overall, this is a great racing/rally game and I would highly recommend it. Whit that said, i must state that i am very satisfied with this mouse. Previously I was usig a generic small laptop mouse, so i got accustomed to smaller mice. i was fearing that the adaptation to this new product would be long and "painfull", however, for being a full size mouse the taipan is quite ligth weight. It is also a very sober alternative to the more flashy products designed for gamers (which i dont like): you can deactivate the razer logo back-light and it becomes a very subtle detail barely seeable in the mouse, so you can go to your office or laboratory and pretend to be a serious person. Considering my small mouse background i use a claw like grip, which is perfect for this mouse. Currently I dont use the side buttons, but they are prerfectly accesible (more on the thumb side) so i will certainly try to get some usefull functions linked to then trough the synapse program. overall 10/10 will buy more razer products in the future. This mouse has helped me improve my gameplay, in comparison to using a traditional mouse. The additional buttons are great and easy to use with keybinds. The design is sleek and the logo looks cool. This is a very good gaming mouse if you are looking for something "simple" in terms of gaming mouses that gets that job done, looks nice, and works well. Granted theyve made some products that were better than others, but relative to the products Ive tried, I would give them 6 stars out of 5. The first mouse I got from them, a Copperhead, lasted until a couple months ago (almost 10 years of active gaming), and its only the left click button which isnt responding (so still fixable). This one in particular, the Taipan, is no different than Copperhead, as in its an awesome piece of hardware! Very comfortable to use, light, ergonomic, a smooth texture/feel, high pointer precision, I have nothing bad to say about it. I kind of like the fact that this mouse is wired so I dont have to worry about charging batteries and the cord is as long as needed, I actually never took the twist tie off of the extra cord and have an ample amount. The cord is not your typical rubbery electronic cord like your phone charger, it is like woven with some sort of cotton like cover and its very flexible so you dont have to deal with it being kinked or making it awkward to push the mouse around. I really like this mouse and it is very responsive and seems to be very smooth. I really like the fact that the scroll wheel and the logo on the mouse glow, it makes it easy to see in the dark and it looks really cool. The side buttons by default are programmed to go back and forward on webpages which is pretty cool. Overall I think this is a great mouse and would recommend it to a friend. Prior to having this mouse, I just used a standard Logitech wireless laptop mouse. It was on its last legs after some abuse though, so after doing some research I settled upon the Razer Taipan as something I wanted to try out. Pros: -Beautiful looking mouse. I got the white color scheme one and it is definitely pretty to look at. Also matches my white/black PC tower. -Comfortable to hold, although it is definitely for smaller hands like other reviewers have said (the reason I bought it, Ive got some baby hands). The rubber grips on either side underneath the side buttons make a super good thumb rest. I use kind of a claw grip, but it seems like it would be okay palm as well. Havent noticed any hand fatigue so far, including game sessions of 8+ hours. -The tracking on the mouse seems to be relatively top notch from my experience. Granted, I did just move from a $20 dollar wireless mouse, so there was bound to be improvement. -The adjustable DPI is a pretty nice feature, although the maximum this mouse allows (8200) is laughably unnecessary. After a couple days of experimenting playing various games, I got mine honed in at 2000, where it has been ever since. -Ludicrous initial setup aside, Razer Synapse hasnt given me any problems yet! (EDIT: jk lolz) Cons: -I have had a few severe tracking issues. The reason though, it would seem, is because the sensor is incredibly, incredibly sensitive to any interference. The first couple days after owning it, I noticed occasionally the tracking would just kind of seize up and start doing circles instead of straight lines. As far as I can tell, each time it has been from tiny specks of hair or fuzz getting in the path of the sensor. This is with a brand new, spotless mouse pad too. It is definitely frustrating when it happens, since the rest of the time it tracks excellently. -The glossy plastics making up the mouse are fairly slick, including the main left/right buttons. I havent really noticed it that badly when gaming, but they definitely seem like they would get bad quick if youve got some sweaty hands. -Occasionally upon starting a game, it seems like the mouse gets stuck at a sensitivity double of what it should actually be set at. It basically makes any games unplayable until I restart my computer (simply restarting the game, restarting Razer Synapse, or unplugging the mouse hasnt had any success). I have no idea what the source of this problem is, but Im going to go ahead and blame Razer Synapse because I have absolutely no idea what else it could be. All in all, after researching for something lightweight, good for smaller hands, and possessing the right amount of secondary buttons, I feel like I made the right decision, and am definitely happy with my purchase. The instructions call for downloading the controller software, but that is for Windows only (once you find it on the site) and I have a Mac. I downloaded some Mac software but it kept quitting unexpectedly. At one point I was convinced that I needed to buy additional controller hardware. After I started downloading a Windows VM image so that I could then download the controller software, another reviewer (thank you) pointed out that the controller software only discovers the IP address and all configuration is done through the web at the access point IP address. That grossly simplified things for me. I queried my DHCP server for the devices IP address (the only TP-Link device in the list of clients), logged in using the default credentials (which required searching the web), and I was off to the races. Once I realized that the instructions created more problems than solutions, all was well. This is a 5-star product if they would exclude the configuration instructions. I am docking it one star for the misleading instructions. My existing router/AP is on one side of a large house, creating dead zones on the other floors at the opposite end of the house. I installed this AP on the side of a bookshelf in my home office at the opposite end of the house, and now my home is flooded with 2.4GHz and 5GHz of WiFi goodness. In fact, my cell phone prefers this signal over the (already very good) existing router/AP signal in every room except where the existing router/AP is located. If you have dead zones where an ethernet port is located, buy this, plug it in, mount it, then throw away the instructions. You will be happy with the purchase. Log into your router and view network devices (or dhcp history) to find its IP, then connect to that ip in your browser. The AP uses dhcp by default, so you should be able to find its address easily. After connecting to the web UI, it will ask for a password (default was admin:admin I think). I bought this for residential use, to extend wifi to the back rooms of the house. Dissapointed with residential routers and extenders by Netgear and Asus that would drop out or crash periodically, I turned to this. I already had ethernet run through the closets and walls, so this was a good fit, as I could just punch through the wall to mount it up high, and power it with POE. I just had to buy a gigabit poe injector along with this unit, as my router is not gigabit POE.  iCreatin 48V35W Gigabit Power over Ethernet POE Injector Adapter Power supply,1000Mbps IEEE 802.3af/at Compliant, Up to 100 Meters (328 Feet) This product supports ceiling rail mounting (commercial buildings), ceiling tile mounting (also commercial), and keyhole ceiling/wall mounting. The hardware for all options is provided, though the screws for wall mounting are a little too short to go through drywall into a stud, and the drywall anchors are the bad hex type that do not expand and can push too far into the wall. A 12v quality power supply is provided as well, if you do not intend to use POE. No ethernet cable is provided. Performance and compatability on various channels is very good. Range is excellent. This is a commercial grade product. It supports 99 wireless clients. It does not need to be restarted or fooled with once set up, as it is designed for 24/7 load. The web interface is clean and simple to allow managing the AP. You do not need to use their EAP software. SSH is supported as well. The unit does not do routing, NAT, etc. Use a router/gateway for that. VLAN and management VLAN is supported. Portal is also suppoted, which allows you to give tokens out to users for temporary access (like giving patrons in a restaraunt wifi for 1 hour). You can disable the front LED status light (default green when on). The ethernet port does not flash. 2.4 and 5 gig bands have excellent range when mounted up high. Devices with line of sight get 800+ mbps connections over AC. Dumb devices (pcs, phones, android TV) that have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz will be automatically connected to the 5ghz band if signal strength is good, which is a nice feature to clean up wifi congestion. Been using this for some months without issue, so I purchased a second, to replace an existing ap and extend coverage. They never bog down or need to be restarted. I have worked with many of the higher end APs (I used to be a wireless engineer & RF designer), and this unit blew my socks off on how well it worked and the features vs. cost. (One note - if you are using this with a VPN, you may need to lower frame sizes at your router. If your VPN crashes your DSL, you will need to look at that. I had that issue and reduced frame size at the router and fixed it). This unit can do everything from SNMP, VLANs, fencing (guest networks), multi-band (I use both, and they work fine), full MAC filtering and ACLs, and it even has management software! It can do variable channel width, auto channel, adjustable Tx power, and can load balance with other TP-Link APs to make sure 1 AP does not have too many clients on it. It can also perform QoS traffic prioritization and rogue AP detection. My only negative is that the connections are on the outside of the unit, so you may not want to have it where someone can mess with it (like kids in schools, etc). It even has ceiling grid mounting, so I would not hesitate to deploy this at a small office. Performance has been very good, and it just runs and runs. Never need to reboot it or anything. Get the PoE injector to mount it anywhere. In my opinion, this unit really comes close to matching up with units costing many times more than this one. Just plug into your network I own two. My first one was supposed to go outside, but it worked better than my preexisting inside access point, so I left the first one inside (it looks nice), and bought another for outside. I havent set up the second one for outside because it is now cold and the signal from the first one is covering more of my outside space than the one I had before. No one gives me free stuff....
