It has a hard rubberized plastic around corners allowing for a decent grip and making it somewhat easy to put the phone in and slip out without causing damage. It also has a hard plastic back with rubberized corners just slightly raised so you can set it down without worrying about the camera. The Note 4 fits perfectly snug inside and the power/volume buttons have no gap so feel nice and flush. I personally like the flaps to cover the usb/headphone port, they go in nice and snug and seem durable. There is easily enough open room to grab the s pen and also use the heart rate monitor on back. Overall it is a very nice case for the price. The only "con" is at least on mine, the bottom isnt perfectly flush just under the home button. But this has a slight advantage as it gives juuuust enough room to easily swipe your thumb at an angle over the fingerprint scanner. Ive had many smartphones and have gone through many cases, and I can honestly say that this is my favorite. I got the clear version for the Note 4. Its the perfect blend between a rubber/TPU case and a hard plastic case. The sides feel soft like rubber, and the back feels like soft plexiglass. Its nice to be able to see the entire phone through this crystal clear case. The rubber on the sides covering the volume and power buttons is firm, but very easy to press, and you can feel the clicks of the buttons. All the cut-outs for the ports are perfectly aligned. The edge at the bottom of the case below the home button does dip down slightly, but I dont mind. The back of the case is pretty much flush with the camera lens, but there are are tiny feet on the back of the case in the corners that lift the lens and back of the case off whatever surface you set it on. It does say "Ringke FUSION" on the bottom right edge, but on the clear version it is in slightly raised clear letters and looks very tactful. The included template for tracing your own insert to put between the phone and the case is an interesting concept. The bonus screen protector is good quality and covers the main part of the screen, but not the bezels on the side, which Ive heard are slightly curved on this phone and hard for screen protectors to stick to. This one seems to fit nicely and does not show any signs of halo effect (protector peeling away from the curved edges). I thought this might be a temporary case and screen protector until finding something more expensive, but now Im just going to keep this one permanently. Highly recommended! I have an otterbox also, but its just so big and bulky. This is slim and comfortable and just a really good case. I dropped my phone twice today (but only from about foot off the ground), onto concrete, and its still perfect. The only thing I dont like about the case is the port covers. Its not that theyre bad, but they could use to be a little tighter fit (specifically the charging cover). Its somewhat loose when pushed in. Nothing major though and I wouldnt even dock a star for it. The shield that the case comes with, is sub-par though. Its too narrow (doesnt really go to the edge of the visual screen, and is FAR from the edge of the phone). Also, mine doesnt have the loose defect near the port. Its all very flush and tight all around. For this review, Ill be comparing this mouse to the Logitech G502. I recently purchased both mice and have had a few weeks to use both. They are two of the most popular gaming mice on the market and direct competitors, so this comparison should prove useful for some. First off, this is the most beautiful mouse Ive ever seen. The build quality is incredible and a huge step above any mouse Ive used before. The aluminum chassis, rubberized top and sandpaper-like sides make for an incredibly well crafted device. The switches have what I would consider elegant actuation, with good tactile feel that is smooth with a satisfying, muted click noise. The scroll wheel feels elegant as well, with a really nice rubber material and super smooth scrolling action. The LED implementation is also really nice, with a beautifully lit scroll wheel area and brilliant illumination on the back of the mouse. This mouse illuminates the mouse pad and just looks really great, with the option to cycle through the RGB colors or use static colors. In short, its the best built and best looking mouse Ive seen, and possibly the best looking peripheral Ive ever used- on par with Corsairs gorgeous keyboards. Compared to the G502, this mouse is a step above in build quality and looks. The tracking on this mouse is excellent. It contains a pixart 3360 sensor, regarded as the best optical sensor on the market. The tracking is extremely accurate. The G502 contains a 3366 (Logitechs variant of the same sensor), so they are very similar. Having said that, I do feel that the G502 is slightly more accurate and responsive. Its hard to articulate what the difference is, its more of a feel you get using both mice. The G502 just seems to track basically perfectly, whereas I did have slightly more trouble aiming with pinpoint accuracy with this mouse. In reality though, the difference would probably be imperceptible to most users. The location of the "sniper button" is right where your thumb would normally rest. This would present a problem, but the button does require decent actuation force, so I never found myself accidentally activating it while playing. I was able to lift the mouse just fine as well. I do like the location of the "sniper button" on the G502 a bit more, where its located just at the tip of your thumb. It totally prevents any accidental press of the button, and just felt a little more natural to me. Now we get to the main issue I have with this mouse, and the reason I deducted one star. The shape and weight of this mouse will not be for everyone. Its shorter than most mice, while also being a bit stocky and wide. I use a fingertip type grip where my palm sort of floats above the top surface of the mouse, so I didnt have much of an issue adapting to the shape. However for those with a true palm grip, I doubt they would find this mouse comfortable. I think its probably made mostly for claw grip, and probably most fingertip users will find it comfortable as well (such as myself). However in comparison to the G502, this M65 is decidedly less comfortable. The G502 fits me like a glove. I especially like the extended thumb rest on the G502, and I prefer the grippy textured sides to the sandpaper-like sides of this M65. Aiming and lifting just feels more natural on the G502 for me. The weight of this mouse is probably its major issue. It comes with 3 weights installed in the underside of the mouse, and its just plain heavy. With the weights installed, I found difficult in lifting the mouse without my fingers slipping, and quick wrist actions for aiming are a bit more difficult than on lighter mice. I find it interesting that a mouse marketed as an FPS mouse would be so heavy out of the box. I removed all 3 of the weights, and its definitely much better. The G502 is also considered a heavy mouse, but it comes without the weights installed. I think without weights, the M65 still feels slightly heavier than the G502. Its definitely something to keep in mind for people who prefer lighter mice. The mouse is just heavy, no getting around it. Other than the stock/short size and the weight, this mouse is incredible. It looks so elegant next to my Corsair K70 keyboard, and it just exudes a quality of build that Ive never seen in a mouse before. Most mice are full of plastic, as the G502 is. The M65 will instantly impress you with how well its made and how great it looks. However, looks are not enough for me to recommend this mouse over the G502. I think the G502 is probably the best mouse Ive ever used, even though it looks overly "gamery" and has a plasticy build quality. It just sports more cool features (free scroll wheel being my favorite) and is supremely comfortable. However for those of you who have owned Corsair mice in the past, or who prioritize looks over slightly better performance, the M65 Pro RGB is a wonderful mouse. I would consider it the second best mouse Ive ever used, and this is coming from a loyal MX518 and G400 user. The middle button started to malfunction which I have never experienced before, but because I loved this mouse so much I decided to just get another one and use my semi broken one on another PC. I un-boxed the new one and started using it immediately on my games. After only 2 hours, I noticed my thumb hurting as if i dragged it over sandpaper. Literally red and throbbing. The sides of this mouse have some sort of coating on it that must be non slip or something, its totally different than the same mouse from a year ago, which was very smooth and comfortable. Using this mouse is literally painful. If your a gamer and have the mouse in your hand for 10-15 hours a day, you will most likely have the skin rubbed off your index finger and thumb, because this awful sand paper coating is on both sides. They had a perfect mouse less the issue with the middle mouse button failing early...and now its totally worthless. My first return ever with Amazon and for the most stupid reason possible being I already had the product and wanted another one. Thats all this case really needs to be perfect. Please manufacture a model that is thinner without the option for a plate and Ill buy that as well. The corners are reinforced with rubber bumpers, they can also be exchanged for different colors, which is a nice feature. (Each color case comes with different color bumpers. Mine came with orange, pink, white, and black). The case it comes in says it can withstand drops of up to 5ft. I doubt any crud will get under it--which is a problem with most cases. Also, I think it;s a very clever way to get the performance of a thick case without having a thick case. Its not hard plastic, not soft gooey silicone but somewhere in between. More like a semi rigid high quality rubber/silicone not sure. What makes this case dynamic is its super slim construction and the bumper sections on the corners which have cushiony soft inserts. The corners themselves are slightly bubbled and are actually a void space meaning the edges of your phone do not touch the inside outer corners of this case...great design. I have dropped my iphone 5 a few times in the driveway without damaging the phone or the case. I have had this case on for a long time now and it has no signs of wear and has held its original form. So this should be considered an "extended use" review. Looking forward to the new iphone 6 to become available and Ballastics case for that, granted its of similar design. To compare, I started with the Otterbox Defender quality case but to bulky, then tried the Otterbox commuter, again quality case but hard slippery plastic and bulky. While searching for it, however, I came across Ankers newest entry, the SoundCore Sport XL. Given the price, my general satisfaction with Anker, and Amazons solid return policy, I decided to give both speakers a try. Ill note that the SoundCore Sport XL is probably more comparable to the JBL Charge 2 given that both units have a USB port to let you charge your phone or other device. The Flip 3 doesnt have charging output port. If you want the shortest possible answer: Were keeping the Flip 3 and giving the SoundCore XL as a gift. But it was almost a coin toss about which was going to stay. Sound: I wanted this speaker to have enough volume for modest outdoor gatherings (both meet that criteria, though the Flip 3 is probably a touch louder) and sound good enough that I wouldnt mind having it playing in the house. Im also biased against todays tendency for consumer speakers to emphasize bass response over every other frequency range. If you like your music boom-y, Im not going to like the same speakers that you will. My wife and I listened to each of them across a wide range of music from classical to folk to hip-hop to pop to hard rock, trying to get a sense of which we liked better. The answer, as it turned out, was "it depends." The Flip 3 is definitely not as "flat" audibly as the SoundCore. Within the limits of what you can do with a small speaker, the Flip seems to emphasize the bass and treble ends of the spectrum more. High treble even sounded unnaturally "sizzly" for a couple songs. In others, the vocalist almost seemed a bit buried under the rest of the mix--though never disturbingly so. (Were talking nuance here, and your ears may have a different experience.) The SoundCore is definitely more flat sounding. It doesnt produce as much bass as the Flip, but thats not necessarily a bad thing, and it never had the sizzling issue in the treble. It just sounds...even. People used to the punchy sound emphasized by consumer speaker and headphone manufacturers, however, may find that the music lacks a bit of life. Which did we prefer? Ultimately it depended on what we were playing. Folk, country and music from the 70s and 80s that clearly was mixed with the intent of playing over the radio we often preferred on the SoundCore. More current pop, rock, and hip-hop sounded better to us on the JBL. In the final count, the JBL came out on top, but not by much. Ive been listening to both for a few days now, switching back and forth every so often, and I find that Im inclined toward the JBL, but I certainly dont mind the SoundCore. Size and Build: The SoundCore Sport XL is about 7 x 3 x 1.75 inches and wrapped in what feels like very sturdy, slightly rubbery plastic. Its definitely heavy in your hand and makes you feel confident that it can hold up to some rigorous outdoor use. The biggest issue with the design is that I found myself constantly grabbing into the bass port on the back, which includes a metal cover over a stretchy membrane for a passive woofer. I have no idea if pushing on the cover would damage the passive woofer, but it was disconcerting. The Flip 3 is 6.5 x 2.5 inches and covered in a dense fabric with hard plastic ends. Its slightly lighter in the hand, and the cylindrical shape makes it more comfortable to pick up and carry around. It feels solidly built if not quite as tank-like as the SoundCore. Never before has someone created this combination of size, sound quality, loudness, bass response, splash proof all for only $99! I have previously owned UE boom, Denon Envaya mini and JBL charge plus 2. These are the Flip 3s closest competitors. Here is my summary of the competition. UE boom: the reason I believe the UE boom is so popular is the form factor is just right and its loud for its size. What I dont like about the UE Boom is its $200 price tag and almost no bass whatsoever. Denon Envaya Mini: so close, I just wish it was louder and the battery would only last a few hours a moderate volumes. JBL Charge 2+: overall really good speaker, my two issues are, the sound profile is too bloated. Yes it has good bass for its side but it tends to drown out the higher frequencies and has quite a bit of dynamic compression at high volumes. Also I just wish it was a little smaller to fit in camping chair cup holders and more portable. And now for the JBL flip 3: its as loud as the UE boom, does not have the battery life issues of the Denon and does not have bloated bass like the charge 2+. The sound profile is well balanced, the upper frequencies are slightly upfront with decent bass for its size. My prediction, this will be the best selling Bluetooth speaker in its class! Tough, but fun as can be. Too bad about the install issues I listed in the original review. This woulda been a 4 or 5 star rating for the campaign play. Original review: I needed to get this review up right away to hopefully save others great frustration. Before you put the disc in your PS3 for the first time, disconnect from the Internet and DO NOT do the update. Only after the game has been installed should you attempt any updates. If you attempt to do the update right from the start along with the initial instal (as the pop up screen will ask you to do upon initial start-up) you may run into some very severe issues. I did as have many others. Google it. It can cause the game to not play and freeze on a black screen and then take several hours to delete the bad patch. So, just remember to disconnect from the web first. Then install the game. Then reconnect to the web and do any updates. You will be glad you did. If you did not have this problem, good for you. I did and so did many others. Like I said, google it. I have been playing the game for a couple of hours now. About half as much time as it took to deal with the install issues. Game seems fine. I dont imagine it sucking. However, it can never get better than 3 stars from me given the terrible software issue upon install. It was just rediculous. Note too that if you already did the update that causes the freezing and are trying to delete it, it can take over 2 hours to delete. I used to be really into the Xbox 360 and got in PS3 pretty late so I missed a lot of PS3 games when they first came out. After recently playing resistance 3 let me just say WOW! Where to begin? Ill split it into three sections. Here we go. Story: Even though you dont have to play the first two resistance games to know whats going on is recommend it. The story I thought was pretty good. I liked the characters and there were some parts where the story had me like aw why did that happen? Haha it had me really into it. Its fairly long too. I like to take some breaks when playin a game. I think it took me three days to finish up the single player story. Overall I thought it was good. Graphics: The graphics are pretty damn good in resistance 3. Id say its probably one of the best looking games on the PS3. Right next to uncharted games and kill zone 2 and 3. Gameplay: Gameplay is great. I do enjoy first person shooters. Resistance 3 has you in some pretty good gun fights. There are moments when youll be fighting alone. Others times youll be up against giant monsters in boss fights. You can also upgrade weapons you use in the game which is pretty cool. Verdict: Resistance 3 is a damn good game. I honestly regret not play this one back in the day. If you own a PS3 and havent played resistance 3 then shoot get out there and grab a copy. Its a lot of fun. You dont have the luxury of a self regenerating character and while it takes some massive damage to finish your character off unless you can find some health packs on every corner you have to be careful. Still the game is incredible and if you already have the first or second game then this is a definite must to add to your PS3 game library. Soon youre fighting off hordes of enemies while traveling on a tug boat down a creepy, mist-covered river. Later youre trying to survive being captured by a bunch of crazed escaped inmates in a decrepit prison. Theres even a thrilling train sequence that reminded me of "Uncharted 2," and a nightmarish town that reminded me of Ravenholm from "Half-Life 2." The cool weapons are the other key to "R3s" success; all of them level up through use and can be accessed via the weapon wheel as in "R:FoM," replacing only holding 2 at a time as in "R2." One new weapon lets you freeze enemies solid and then shatter them into pieces. Another makes green bubbly spores develop and then explode. There was online competitive and co-op multiplayer, but the servers were shut off in April of 2014. The LE of Guilty Gear Xrd comes with: Special Art slip cover (same as pictured,) custom case in the shape of "The Backyard" book from the game, artbook called the codex which is slightly larger than a PS3 game case, a vocal OST of 10 songs, the game, and a key chain in the shape of main character Sols belt buckle that says "FREE." The artbook called codex also has detailed entries for every relevant character in the Guilty Gear franchise as well as some extra artwork and fun facts. Give lots of background on the franchise outside the game and has quality art inside as well. The box it comes in is shaped like a hollowed out book and looks great on display, same with the slip cover on or off. The game itself is great. Several offline modes such as combo and game mechanic challenges. A character upgrade mode called M.O.M. (also can be played online), and a host of online options mainly player and ranked matches but with a host of lobbies and features. A gallery where you can unlock the character Sin for free, as well as music from past games that can be selected in matches, artwork, and various things to customize your online profile. Story mode is basically a long series of cutscenes and dialogue but is animated and presented extremely well and can be paused/saved at any point. Length is about the size of the average anime season. Arcade acts as an opening for each characters motivations for story mode. Largest positive, cross play with PS4 and PS3! Played about 3 hours straight with a friend in Montreal Canada, while I live in Georgia USA and had 3F lag as indicated by the game. Btw the game shows your moment to moment lag! when online. This is all crossed play while he was on PS4 and Im on 3. Only down side is the graphical jealousy you will have when you see the PS4 version. It is simply a cleaner presentation than the PS3 obviously and no effect on the actual game. The cutaways for supers and quality of character models in opening/ending/story modes are more closely represented to the PS4 models, than the ingame PS3 models which are still amazing, but its a noticeable difference. That said the game runs the same on both a smooth 60fps with no slowdowns. Lots of content to playthrough if you like the actual fighting portion of fighting games! Worth every penny. I buy the ps3 copy because i have the arcade sticks for this console, and the difference between version is not that much, outside of the 1080p improvement, and i think the framerate at the beggining of the fight is also better, but nothing game breaking. Buy wichever version you want or can afford, if you like me are a big fan of the fighting games, this entry cannot be miss in you collection. Its a love letter to Guilty Gear fans. The game, its more of the same at first but as you dig youll see a few differences. MOM mode is different from past iterations, Survival mode is gone all together. There is new music, and while everyone plays the same as they have there are a few new tricks to keep you coming back. Interesting way to tell its story, telling you to clear arcade mode first before going to visual-novel story mode, completely devoid of fighting unlike the recent Blazblue installment. Tutorials and controls are easy to get into and probably a lot better at explanation than Blazblue. Its network mode leaves something to be desired, sometimes disconnecting and bad frames rates. But when it works, it really works, lag is seemingly nonexistent. Overall, good but a little inferior compared to Blazblue. Comfort and sound slightly worse than my MDR-1000X’s but for gaming (especially the zero latency) it’s pretty fantastic. I was previously using a very good corded Sennheiser headset but the cable kept getting run over or tangled in my chair, so it’s great having zero anxiety around that (plus, 20 hour battery life? This headset is loud and if you fiddle with the equalizer enough, you will have a great pair of speakers on your head. I listen to electronic music a ton, and its super important that I hear the different levels that the certain song gives - these do an amazing job. Even vocal driven songs sound great. The bass is a little high, but I turned that down so that the treb and the bass are pretty equal. (Ive included my equalizers for iTunes and the engine for those that are interested so they can check it out.) The next best thing is the comfort. Oh my goodness, are they comfortable. Ive been wearing them for a while now and I can see how people say they are stiff when you first get them, but they will loosen after you wear them enough. They are causing a tiny bit discomfort, but I have faith that they will stretch. My ears also tend to be very sensitive are get very irritated after a little while when they have something pressing against them, but the ear covers are exceptional. Very roomy for my ears and there is nothing irritating them for the time I have been wearing the headset. I am however going to jump straight into the one problem they have. There is a major clicking in the mic when I use the given sound card with the mirco plug in. Its horrifying how loud the clicking is. I am pretty sure this is a problem with the sound card - not the software. A lot of people have been addressing this clicking issue for a year now and Steelseries is really horrible about the issue and has no fix for it. The only ACTUAL FIX for the headset is using the 3.5mm jacks with the soundcard instead of the micro USB - but you lose the lights on the headset if you used the 3.5mm. Funny thing is, I intended to use this headset with the Siberia USB External Soundcard anyways because I heard there were sound issues and mic issues with the given sound card. So I knew from the get-go that I wasnt going to use the lights on the headset. It still sucks incredibly because the biggest selling point for this headset is the color changing lights. The fact that you cant even use them without having a clicking mic, is why I gave them 3 stars. 150 dollars for a headset thats supposed to have lights but you cant use - is pretty awful. I would really like this headset to 100% amazing. Except the problems the mic has, along with Steelseries hardly caring about their defective products is a true bummer. I can live with it however and am pretty pleased. Theyre comfortable to wear for a long time, I can travel 3 rooms over before I start to lose them, and the battery design means Im NEVER charging them and waiting for them to finish like my old pair. I really only use them to listen to audiobooks while Im working from home and drown out distracting noises and they do a perfect job. Overall, these headphones are awesome- probably the best gaming headset Ive ever owned. As for sound quality, its probably not up to par for the audiophiles out there, but I personally think the audio is pretty decent. Everybody else seems to think theres a problem with the volume not being loud enough, but Ive been able to turn it up way past comfort levels. Comfort - Super comfortable and I have no problem with wearing these for extended periods of time. The Microphone - friends tell me its super clear. I love being able to retract the microphone into the unit. Software - easy to use and useful. The LEDs are a cool feature even though you cant see anything when you wear it. Build quality is excellent on this piece and everything feels to be built with high quality materials Cons - its super huge and doesnt sit around my neck very well when I want to take it off but dont want to put it down. Ill probably buy some kind of headphone stand for this. Would be awesome if it had some kind of retractable cable or something.
