The story is very involved. I really felt like I understood the familys situation, and the reason for their ambitions. The introduction of Masayuki was a great addition the game. All of the Sanada members were enjoyable to play as. Overall, Spirit of Sanada is a great spin off, and I would love to see more like it in the future. About 5 hours invested so far. Great gameplay actually quite difficult at "hard" setting. Very in depth as far as historical accuracy. Premise of the game is a bit RPG-like in that you go back to gather materials and upgrade yourself between battles. This is absolutely necessary to actually get through the battles. Fun! Tough, but fun as can be. Too bad about the install issues I listed in the original review. This woulda been a 4 or 5 star rating for the campaign play. Original review: I needed to get this review up right away to hopefully save others great frustration. Before you put the disc in your PS3 for the first time, disconnect from the Internet and DO NOT do the update. Only after the game has been installed should you attempt any updates. If you attempt to do the update right from the start along with the initial instal (as the pop up screen will ask you to do upon initial start-up) you may run into some very severe issues. I did as have many others. Google it. It can cause the game to not play and freeze on a black screen and then take several hours to delete the bad patch. So, just remember to disconnect from the web first. Then install the game. Then reconnect to the web and do any updates. You will be glad you did. If you did not have this problem, good for you. I did and so did many others. Like I said, google it. I have been playing the game for a couple of hours now. About half as much time as it took to deal with the install issues. Game seems fine. I dont imagine it sucking. However, it can never get better than 3 stars from me given the terrible software issue upon install. It was just rediculous. Note too that if you already did the update that causes the freezing and are trying to delete it, it can take over 2 hours to delete. I used to be really into the Xbox 360 and got in PS3 pretty late so I missed a lot of PS3 games when they first came out. After recently playing resistance 3 let me just say WOW! Where to begin? Ill split it into three sections. Here we go. Story: Even though you dont have to play the first two resistance games to know whats going on is recommend it. The story I thought was pretty good. I liked the characters and there were some parts where the story had me like aw why did that happen? Haha it had me really into it. Its fairly long too. I like to take some breaks when playin a game. I think it took me three days to finish up the single player story. Overall I thought it was good. Graphics: The graphics are pretty damn good in resistance 3. Id say its probably one of the best looking games on the PS3. Right next to uncharted games and kill zone 2 and 3. Gameplay: Gameplay is great. I do enjoy first person shooters. Resistance 3 has you in some pretty good gun fights. There are moments when youll be fighting alone. Others times youll be up against giant monsters in boss fights. You can also upgrade weapons you use in the game which is pretty cool. Verdict: Resistance 3 is a damn good game. I honestly regret not play this one back in the day. If you own a PS3 and havent played resistance 3 then shoot get out there and grab a copy. Its a lot of fun. Also if youre like me and have become spoiled with your character being able to regenerate from injuries without the aid of a health pack then expect some annoyance as this game is like that. You dont have the luxury of a self regenerating character and while it takes some massive damage to finish your character off unless you can find some health packs on every corner you have to be careful. Still the game is incredible and if you already have the first or second game then this is a definite must to add to your PS3 game library. The first one had clunky controls while 2 it was just difficult and stressful. 3 takes place after 2. The protagonist from 2 is killed from the new protagonist of 3. As for the story driven I feel that 2 was slightly more interesting although 3 has its good qualities of a story. The graphics are better than the past two like a better update. The guns get some sort of upgrade after using them a lot. I cant go full in the games story details but its pretty great. Like most campaigns this one is fairly shorter than the other 2 but its still fun overall even a second gameplay. Capelli has to trek cross-country to New York in order to destroy a gigantic terraforming machine before it drops the temperature so low that the planet can no longer sustain human life. His journey takes you to a number of great locals, the variety of which is one of the best aspects of the game. You start in a rundown, bleak dust bowl of a village with few survivors. Soon youre fighting off hordes of enemies while traveling on a tug boat down a creepy, mist-covered river. Later youre trying to survive being captured by a bunch of crazed escaped inmates in a decrepit prison. Theres even a thrilling train sequence that reminded me of "Uncharted 2," and a nightmarish town that reminded me of Ravenholm from "Half-Life 2." The cool weapons are the other key to "R3s" success; all of them level up through use and can be accessed via the weapon wheel as in "R:FoM," replacing only holding 2 at a time as in "R2." One new weapon lets you freeze enemies solid and then shatter them into pieces. Another makes green bubbly spores develop and then explode. There was online competitive and co-op multiplayer, but the servers were shut off in April of 2014. However, this mouse feels tailored to the way my hand wants to rest while in use and the extra buttons really help me in games! Very comfortable, and so far has lasted me since my purchase a few weeks ago with no sign of wear or tear. My only real complaint about it is that it doesnt come with any sort of software to program the side buttons in the event that you cant do that in game (Like the Witcher 1 for instance), but with X Mouse Button, I was able to write a profile for each game I wanted to use those extra buttons for so no real loss there, I just wish there was a recommendation or some sort of code to redeem some of Redragons own button mapping software in the box. I checked their website, but currently this model isnt even on it (go figure). Still though, I really appreciate having the extra speed/precision of the DPS switch modes, and the way this mouse is shaped could take some getting used to (all of like 5 seconds maybe), but once you do, you never want to go back to generic mine again! Up until recently I have always had good luck with these and they have been solid, however in the past few months, I have had three failures on drives that were less than a year old. I have this set up as an internal Wireless LAN at my home and store all my video and music content on this drive. With the N900 wireless this does for me more than any DVR out there can since I can access it from any device in my house including my desktop. Great combination. My plan is to add in a couple wireless surveillance cameras to the setup in the near future, and I expect it to continue to work just as good for that purpose as it does for my multimedia streaming. However, the supplied Acronis cloning software - while appreciated, did not work properly when cloning my Samsung 850EVO 120GB SSD onto this M.2. My Windows 10 OS drive (previously mentioned) while cloned successfully, the lock screen kept flickering and did not respond to any commands. So I attempted to clone using EaseUS, which resulted in a BSOD when booting for the first time. Was finally able to successfully clone my drive using Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 4.0. A piece of software that I have had a license for over 3 years - it has never failed me. It is also wise to update your BIOS firmware before installing this hardware as ones motherboard may not recognize this as a drive until the PCIE to M.2 is recognized with newer firmware. This was my case on the ASROCK Z97 Pro4 M. I got this thing for a steal, but Im a bit lukewarm on the MSRP, think thats a bit too much for what it is. As far as performance goes this is incredibly anecdotal but from the end of POST and all the BIOS stuff to a completely ready-to-go desktop takes about 2 seconds for Kubuntu 16.04 and 5 seconds for Windows 10, much much faster than my WD Black HDD. I went straight from an HDD to this SSD and the difference is incredible, not sure how much of an improvement it would be over a SATA SSD. The marked read/write speeds are much faster than any Ive seen on a SATA SSD but again, no personal experience, your mileage may very. All around great piece of kit for the money I paid. It took a bit of patience to get my motherboard to detect this unit and a whole lot more to install Windows 7 on it. With the latest FW update, the major issue was ironed out but the LED is now constantly on. And while I still have not installed Windows 10, I think I have accepted the shortcomings but its still bugging me. The main advantage of this unit is that the speeds are well above my Samsung Pro SSDs at 1000MB/s read and 700MB/s writes. And no more cabling.. However that was not why I purchased the unit, it was because I needed a drive and this was purchased at Amazon at a very competitive price. The LE of Guilty Gear Xrd comes with: Special Art slip cover (same as pictured,) custom case in the shape of "The Backyard" book from the game, artbook called the codex which is slightly larger than a PS3 game case, a vocal OST of 10 songs, the game, and a key chain in the shape of main character Sols belt buckle that says "FREE." The artbook called codex also has detailed entries for every relevant character in the Guilty Gear franchise as well as some extra artwork and fun facts. Give lots of background on the franchise outside the game and has quality art inside as well. The box it comes in is shaped like a hollowed out book and looks great on display, same with the slip cover on or off. The game itself is great. Several offline modes such as combo and game mechanic challenges. A character upgrade mode called M.O.M. (also can be played online), and a host of online options mainly player and ranked matches but with a host of lobbies and features. A gallery where you can unlock the character Sin for free, as well as music from past games that can be selected in matches, artwork, and various things to customize your online profile. Story mode is basically a long series of cutscenes and dialogue but is animated and presented extremely well and can be paused/saved at any point. Length is about the size of the average anime season. Arcade acts as an opening for each characters motivations for story mode. Largest positive, cross play with PS4 and PS3! Played about 3 hours straight with a friend in Montreal Canada, while I live in Georgia USA and had 3F lag as indicated by the game. Btw the game shows your moment to moment lag! when online. This is all crossed play while he was on PS4 and Im on 3. Only down side is the graphical jealousy you will have when you see the PS4 version. It is simply a cleaner presentation than the PS3 obviously and no effect on the actual game. The cutaways for supers and quality of character models in opening/ending/story modes are more closely represented to the PS4 models, than the ingame PS3 models which are still amazing, but its a noticeable difference. That said the game runs the same on both a smooth 60fps with no slowdowns. Lots of content to playthrough if you like the actual fighting portion of fighting games! MOM mode is different from past iterations, Survival mode is gone all together. There is new music, and while everyone plays the same as they have there are a few new tricks to keep you coming back. Unfortunately we probably got a unit from the first production run, so there are many issues that still need to be sorted out before you should buy this. So far I havent been able to print anything other than a 1" tall sample part. Here are some of the problems: 1) Filament sometimes gets stuck during removal. Makerbot suggests using pliers to pull out filament, but doing this yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart, which is apparently bad for it. Had to disassemble my Smart Extruder to remove the filament plug that had formed inside. 2) Calibration seems broken. The nozzle scrapes along the build plate even after multiple rounds of leveling and calibration. 3) Filament jams repeatedly. Was unable to actually print after the initial test part. Likely due to the calibration issue described above. Fails about 15-20 seconds into print. Resuming or restarting the print does not help. 4) Slow firmware. Takes a very long time to boot up, to upgrade firmware (15 minutes), to calibrate, to start printing, etc. If youve used any other Makerbot product youll be pretty disappointed by this. 5) Poorly designed filament guide. The Z18 uses a long flexible plastic straw as a guide, and it kind of floats near the print head. It occasionally gets caught or kinked against the lid, which yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart. Unlike the Replicator 2, for example, the straw does not fit into the print head. It just dangles. Observations based on firmware 1.2.0.112. Update: Makerbot sent out a new Smart Extruder via overnight mail. Now it will start extruding without immediately jamming, but I still cant print. Nothing seems to stick to the base plate, so when I come back after 30 minutes to check on things, theres usually a huge glob of molten filament around the extruder tip and a birds nest of extruded filament scattered around the build plate. They finally released a better smart extruder, which you have to pay for. The amount of time spent on getting a good print is far too high - I could send out files to print for cheaper. PREVIOUS: For the cost, this printer should be far beyond its experimental phase and should be a consumer-ready device -- not something one has to spend hours toying with in order to get it working. The 1st printer we received had multiple issues and errors -- A) The printer could not detect that the door was closed. B) The ribbon cables inside the machine were not fully seated. C) The "smart" extruder was not being detected. D) Once printing, prints could not stick to the print bed without using a raft (Im still testing options to correct this). E) The updated firmware does not work (causing a "carriage disconnected" issue, and then an error in which the printer couldnt detect the smart extruder) User support (I have a MakerCare Plan) has to be the worst support I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I was on the phone that first evening for over an hour just waiting for a human to answer. I had submitted a case ticket as well, with no reply. I finally reached a human the next morning and he was completely clueless and unhelpful -- all he could do was request the printers diagnostic logs so an expert could review them and get back to me (I emailed the logs to him, with no reply of receipt, and no answer to correct the printers issues -- it has been 2 weeks!!!). I found a user group on Google for Makerbot Owners and found more support and answers there than Makerbots User Support or website. I reseated the interior cables, factory reset the printer, and rolled back firmware (seemed to solve most of the issues with the smart extruder and carriage being detected). I then printed a couple test models that come on the printers storage and a model of my own. There were a few hiccups, but the prints turned out fairly well (hence the rating above 1*). I havent solved the issue of successfully printing without a raft yet, but the model I created and printed turned out quite well (except it could have used some supports, which I didnt check ON). Other CONs: The spool should have a simple hinged piece to keep pressure on the filament, so it cannot unravel (seems like it would be simple to implement). The electronic noises the printer makes are annoying (not the mechanical noises). The bright lights inside the printer dont turn off (Im not sure if they can be turned off) The web cam is not very useful Final Comments: We sent the printer back and got a new one -- got error code 13 and 1500 on the new printer. I reseated the cables, which fixed both errors. I am printing now, and it seems to be working fine now. Hopefully I can work with the printer to get the best results, but this printer is definitely not ready for regular consumers. This is one of my very favorite games of the past console generation, and my favorite franchise, as well. And on that subject, I would say that "A Crack in Time" is the best Ratchet and Clank adventure to date, though Im sure Insomniac is cooking up something extra special for the forthcoming "Into the Nexus", as well as whatever Lombax madness might be arriving on the highly vaunted PS4. If you are a Ratchet fan, you need this game in your collection. If youre a fan of platformers, you absolutely NEED to give this game a try. Ive never played a better platformer in my life, though Rayman Origins comes darned close (although the two are so different, its hard to make an adequate comparison - lets just agree that theyre both awesome). Whats particularly noteworthy about "A Crack in Time" is just how much there is to do in this crazy universe. The story-driven campaign is quite lengthy on its own, but I love revisiting the sectors that Ive already passed through. There, I can search moons and planets for additional challenges and collectibles, including gold bolts, zoni, and schematics for the ultimate weapon, the RYNO V. Additionally, I can answer distress calls from other star travelers and assist them, upgrade my spaceship, do battle with other ships, collect weapons and gadgets, focus on leveling up Ratchet AND all his crazy weapons, visit the coliseum for arena battles, and so forth. And as if all that wasnt enough, theres STILL the challenge mode (New Game+), trophies, AND a whole bunch of skill points to acquire. This is platforming perfection, and Ratchet and Clank gold. One of my favorite games of all time, I give it my highest possible recommendation. Its impossible to play this game and not have FUN, and just as impossible to not SMILE! Enjoy, space cadets! The game is nicely split between the adventures of Ratchet on one hand, and the adventures of Clank on the other (Clanks portion of the game is actually the most entertaining and amusing). Other than the great graphics, challenging gameplay, fun story and ribald humor that weve come to expect from this series, there are a lot of interesting aspects to this installment that make it a standout: hoverboots were a fantastic idea, they are tremendous fun to use; General Azimuth, one of the last remaining Lombaxes, is a fun companion; the voice acting in this game is some of the best Ive heard in a video game -- the best since Red Dead Redemption, which is arguably the best of all time; and the soundtrack in this one is really fantastic, puts you in the mood for a rousing space epic. I could only come up with two minor problems that keep this from being a five star classic: firstly the choice of weapons is surprisingly mediocre, certainly nowhere near as good as Tools of Destruction; and the lack of a female presence in the game is kind of a letdown -- if you are going to have a rousing space epic of game, it would be nice (from a male players POV) to have a good-looking, clever female sidekick with black belt in karate, a Princess Leia to your Han Solo. But these were only two minor flaws. Crack in Time is at least as good as the superb Tools of Destruction, and a worthy installment in the series. Previous knowledge isnt required, but there are occasional nods through the story. Those familiar with the series should know what to expect, and the game delivers: Outrageous weapons, bizarre alien worlds, silly fun with sci-fi tropes; its all there. The biggest change this time around is that the two title characters are separated for most of the game, due to events that took place at the end of the previous title. Ratchets gameplay remains the same, though his jumping skills are limited. Clanks, however, is completely new in that it deals with a lot of puzzle elements involving the use of "time clones" to coordinate series of platforming challenges. They can be surprisingly tricky, especially for those just here for the run-and-gun gameplay, but luckily these can be skipped if the game notices youre talking a long time to complete them. You lose out on some bonuses, but its nothing that will detract from the core experience. My only real complaint here is the new gimmick of Ratchets hover-boots. You get these several levels in, and they can be tricky to control, often leading to multiple deaths within certain portions of the level. Your experience may vary, but I wasnt a fan. All in all, though, if youre a fan of this series and havent gotten around to picking this up, its definitely worth your time. It does have a few downsides but I think that for the price point it is an excellent value. Heres the reasons why: --> it has a decent set of drivers which give it great sound quality, making it great for music and game audio --> noise cancelling mic (cuts out all the white noise and garbage sound) --> its has integrated Dolby Pro Logic, which simulates 5.1 and 7.1 surround from a standard stereo (2 speaker) stream --> its comfy, with decent padding on the ear cups and head band you can wear it for hours --> the cup design helps to reduce outside noise (my GF has snuck up on me more than a couple of times while I wore these) --> it is very affordable as gaming headsets go (just over $40 after tax and shipping) However there are a few downsides: --> the adapter is USB and not the standard 3.5mm, which means you cannot use it on any consoles or (most) other devices; only computers. --> the ear cups tend to swivel around a lot (especially if you move your head a lot) --> the head band doesnt always stay put (again only if youre moving your head a lot) In general the features outweigh the downsides and for the price you cant beat it. Mic is clear and crisp and is definitely leagues better than any built in laptop mic and the price alone is worth it for that. The headphones themselves are great, and very loud. They do sometimes get uncomfortable if you wear them for too long, which is absolutely a problem if youre going to be playing games for extended durations, and if youre buying these youre probably in that crowd. They look and feel great, and I usually dont say that about gamer gear because the designs of these peripherals are usually very much not subtle at all, but even though the red definitely makes it clear this is branded towards gamers, its not the kind of ridiculous neon you might see on other headsets, which is a plus for me personally. Overall though the price alone makes this worthwhile, and my experience with them has been great, albeit they might be fatiguing to wear after a certain point. Por Manuel M. em 2 de novembro de 2017 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada Ok, so the main issue with this particular headset is its construction... the sound is good (not as good as i expected but that was my fault for letting the brand name influence my purchase) but the headset itself is poorly constructed... out from the box the 3.5 to 2.5 mm jack adapter was defective, you have to wiggle it so you can get audio on both sides, one week in using it started loosing sound on the right side and you had to wiggle it around so it would start working on both sides but soon after it would go mute on the right side again... when inspected, the volume control on the cable had the wires badly soldered so they where just coming loose, after fixxing it twice, i just cutted out the volume control and just entangled the wires together and, after that, while fixxing the heaset on my head one of the cups snapped... when i checked to see if i could glue it together, to my surprise, i found that all that held it together was a flimsy plastic stick... this headset is not worthy of the brand or the price, avoid. That is dissapointing because I was looking for an upgrade when my last headset (plantronics) did the same thing, after a year and a half. UPDATE: Yeah so I paid $15 in 5 day shipping it to corsair for a replacement. I was very satisfied with the customer service (all online so I didnt have to talk to anyone) and they got shipped it back to me in a day...but also using 5 day shipping. After 2 weeks I finally had gotten it back and they had ended up sending a new set. I was very happy cause I liked the sound and feel the only problem was the failure. It has since been a month and a half later and now it has broken again because of the wire. Last time it disconnected at the ear piece but this time it was at the volume control. Because it lasted the about the same amount of time and the same way I have concluded that the headset is not making sure the wires dont break away. Either way I am not paying the minimum of $15 for shipping it again, making the total payed for this headset $90. Comparison Vid: [...] I was sick and tired of the Razer knock off clicky switches. It was nice for a couple months, but now it is quite irritating and unsatisfying to type on. Therefore I decided to get the Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Brown switches. DESIGN: Personally I like this design better than the Blackwidow. The Blackwidow seems to have a matte fingerprint/oil attracted finish to it. This keyboard however has a clean sleek design that trumps that Blackwidow. The finish on this keyboard seems to be fingerprint resistant and doesnt seem to stain as easy as the Blackwidow. ALSO IT COMES WITH THE OG CORSAIR SAILS LOGO (THANK YOU CORSAIR) not the new "Corsair Gaming" logo that everybody hated. KEYS: I have never owned a Cherry MX Keyboard until now and IT IS AMAZING TO TYPE ON. This keyboard has the option of MX Browns, Reds, or Corsairs "Silent Switches." I decided to get Browns because its halfway between a Red(Silent) and Blue (Clicky) switch, basically the best of both worlds. Browns are not as loud as blues, theyre nearly the same as Reds actually. Its just that Brown switches have a more tactile feedback feel when you type on them compared to Reds. The keycaps themselves on the other hand are similar in feel and look to the Razer keycaps. BUT Corsair includes a set of FPS and MOBA keycaps ALONG WITH a keycap puller so you can customize it to your needs. Props to Corsair for that. LEDS: The casing for the keycaps are clear so you get the maximum shine of color from the switches. Every switch has their own RGB LED that is customize able to what game youre gonna play. There are also two white LED strips on the side of the keyboard to add a nice clean finish to the keyboard. I have attached pictures to clarify. And there are 3 brightness settings for you to choose from. OTHER: Like I said before, Corsair throws in some extra accessories to sweeten the deal: -MOBA/FPS Keycaps -Keycap puller -Detachable wrist rest (which is quite comfortable to use actually) Now to the reason why Im giving this 4 stars... SOFTWARE: Im just gonna say it, the Razer Synapse software for the Chroma is much better than Corsairs CUE software. It took me about 30 minutes to an hour to figure out how to set a certain keycap a certain color. They do have instructions on their website, but its not clear enough for all the features. When I got my Razer Blackwidow Chroma, it was simple (INSANELY SIMPLE) to customize the LEDS to your specific needs. However for Corsair, it seems like theyre getting there but ever so slowly. For example you need to go to 3 or 4 different pages on Corsair software to set all the keys white and WASD a different color. It was just a very frustrating experience for me using the CUE software. Hopefully in the future it will be on the same level as Razers Synapse. OVERALL PROS: -Cherry MX Browns -Design -Price (Cheaper than Blackwidow Chroma) -Accessories (Keycaps/wrist rest) -USB Passthrough CONS: -CUE Software - No headphone/mic passthrough In the end, I recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for an upgrade or their first mechanical keyboard. The price of $149 is very much worth it considering all the extra accessories that come along with it. As for the software, give it some more time and Im sure major improvements will be made. Those felt amazing, so I thought. After around 10 minutes of typing and playing Battlefield 1, I realized these switches feel cheap and are not good for me. I did a bunch more research and decided I must have a keyboard with RGB lighting. Of all the keyboards that I saw through videos on YouTube, the Strafe was the most impressive. I tried to find a Strafe RGB with blue switches to mimic the Razer greens, but I could only find a refurbished one at Newegg for $150. Turns out there were issues with them and theyre no longer being made. I decided to go with the Reds because thats what many gamers I know use. I have been using this keyboard for 11 days now and I am very satisfied with it. The software is easy to use and allows for customization, the keys feel great when typing and when playing (FPS games that is), it looks really pretty, and it even has a USB port. But to use that you will need to plug in the second USB that is attached to the keyboards main cable. All in all, everything about this keyboard is absolutely wonderful. In case you didnt know, there are a few people that that frequent r/RGB Profiles on Reddit and the Corsair forums that create custom RGB lighting schemes that you can use with Corsair peripherals. Everyone can make custom profiles, but it is tough and is much easier to download profiles. I also own a Corsair M65 Pro and I found a guy through the Corsair RGB forums that lets you download free lighting schemes for all devices- so theyre in sync. He even has really great videos demonstrating the lights. He goes by "Schwitz". I am very satisfied with this keyboard. I attached a video of some of my favorite profiles. We have Windows 10 and it was a little weird to install. I used our old keyboard to download the software and had to restart at least once and just wait for the keyboard to start registering keystrokes, but it somehow snapped to it. I have another device with Cherry MX Brown keys and its such a pleasure to use for writing. The Blue are even clackier and old school, with very clear, distinct keying. The USB pass through is really nice as well. If you wait for it to be on sale like $100 dollars for the RGB, then its a really good deal. There are some cons though: the cable is very thick and there is no cable management which might be a problem for some. The software is hard to use and only for windows no linus or mac software compatibility(there is a unofficial software called ckb for mac, and it works great). The pros: keys are nice and fast, I have the browns which have the really nice tactile feedback. The RGB is bright and can show really fun patterns and designs. The build great and solid even without the glossy metal like on the K70. One important thing to note is that on my personal keyboard one of the keys light went off and stayed off on the first day I got it. I tried unplugging and re plugging and restarting the software but no luck, the key still works but the light doesnt. It bugs me but is no problem cuz the key still works. Overall this is the best keyboard for the price and the pros overweight the cons.
