Having ignored it’s development, I’m not sure what to expect, and while it may be impossible, I hope they can capture Nihei’s art style in motion. Knights of Sidonia could probably still be great if it was done by other artists because the story is so strong, but what sets this excellent comic apart is Nihei’s personal graphic flair, the way he can depict vast interstellar distance, crazy fast action and weapon impacts or explosions all in the same panel. Page 146 is a good example of what I’m talking about, as Tanikaze uses the new prototype to snipe at the approaching Gauna. While you’re at it, check out pages 54-55, my favorite art from this book, where poor Tanikaze once again forgets to knock and gets his nose bloodied in the awesomest way possible. I love this comic. With the help of Google and YouTube I was able to build my Pi exactly the way I wanted and am very happy with the results. I run Retropie Raspbian and Kodi on a triple boot build and cant be more pleased. I was in the market to buy the mini classic Nintendo to relive some old fun, but wasnt willing to pay the exorbitant price for minimal use. I wanted to be able to play all the old games and any time I wanted. In addition to this I wanted to get into this Kodi craze and take full advantage of the internet. After some painstaking research I found the solution to all my desires would be a Raspberry Pi. As I said early, I decided to build it myself and it came with its challenges, but I did succeed in the end. The onboard Wifi works very well and the processing speed meets all my needs without overheating. I did buy a case with heatsinks, so this may have helped. One thing I would recommend is not buying the preloaded NOOBS micro SD card. It is a waste of money since you can just download NOOBS to your own card. This is still by far the best micro computer you can buy. all the common outputs, wifi. plenty of i/o, ample horsepower and expandable storage. When im putting together projects this is usually my go to. This little board can multitask and host a full os. So a I can build out a full web interface and serve it right off this device. There are so many resources online for this from beginner to advanced, or you could just load raspbian, plug in a wireless mouse and keyboard and slap it behind your tv as a mini computer. I often find myself using this in conjunction with an arduino or multiple arduinos for that matter. I also bought an enclosure with heatsinks, power supply with switch, and a cooling fan on Amazon, and I bought 2 snes style usb controllers. Everything was easy to setup. I have the rpi overclocked following some easy instructions I found online, and everything runs well with acceptable temperatures. I have a rpi 2 also. I love these little computers. Solid construction, loads of features, expandable, and well designed. I am using one as a print server with fantastic results. Another I turned into a weather station. I received another one for Christmas and will probably turn it into a drone or a robot of some sort. Can be powered by batteries, USB, or right off the pins. Just buy one... What Ive learned, Ive ususally learned on my own or through YouTube. I have made MANY visits to the "Tube" to understand this game. I have been a RE fan since game 1. Ive watched the series grow, stumble, grow a little more, go completely away from the series, and finally upright itself. RE 2 Revelations is a great change of place since RE 5, 6, and Resident Evil Revelations. I mean, who can really be scared about fighting blobs of goo, moving rocks, and other throwaway monsters. I will list my pros and cons: Pros: The actual game play itself is relative easy. The creatures are way more scary (some actually look like ZOMBIES)! There are the invisible kind, which I had quite a bit of trouble with, mutations within mutations, and some kick-butt bosses. Since you have to play with BOTH members of your "team," you will need to learn to get a move-on. Creatures do not wait for you to combine your weapons, change your weapons, or even administer health. This game was indeed more survival horror instead of what weve seen since RE5. Cons: Please keep in mind these are MY cons. All you guys that I would consider PROS at this probably will get a good laugh and tell me to start watching TV again! Keep in mind that Im 62 and probably dont know HALF of what you guys know, so just bear with me. I do not like the way you change your weapons. RE Revelations was more simple and easier. I also dont believe Ill ever under the "mercenaries" game. I dont understand the concept of "destroying" your weapons. You also cannot interchange your acquired parts. All the characters come pre-equipped with weapons, so you never really can earn any kick-butt new ones (or can you?). All in all, though, this is the best RE in a long time. Por Brlane em 11 de abril de 2017 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada this is a true return to form for resident evil. this is the first resident evil game i have played since the outbreak games that FELT like resident evil. its dark its scary and atmospheric. you read files and explore dark creepy places. not run around mindlessly gunning down monsters. while i love resident evil 6 im not going to bash it because it was a great game as well. as for re5 i am still playing that game and will have a review coming later. i honestly think that capcom listened to the fans and gave us something good one last time (before the series moved on to the ps4) much like how order of ecclesia was the last good castlevania to be released. best of all theres no onslaught of quick time garbage that has been crippling the game since resident evil 4.(that is one of the only weak points in re4) claire redfield returns from resident evil 2 along side barrys daughter moira in her debut. the girls are kidnapped and barry burton from re1 returns to find them. there are 2 campaigns claire and moira and barry and natalia (another new character) the game is episodic in nature broken up in 4 parts when you finish claires story in each episode you then switch to barry for his adventure. i highly recommend this game for any resident evil fan Ler mais 4,0 de 5 estrelas Surprisingly good Por Misfit mitten em 15 de novembro de 2015 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada Having played through most of the games in the resident evil franchise, I found this game refreshing as it required more thinking than mindless shooting of the "infected" found in resident evil 6. There was definitely no quick-time, which seemed to plagued previous releases. The co-op was a disappointment as Moira and Natalia were incapable of firing any type of gun (a huge let down) a crowbar and brick are pitiful replacements. Although Natalias contribution was interesting, it was incredibly limiting and boring at times; which is more than can be said for Moiras sad flashlight. On the plus side, I now find myself reading Franz Kafka as his work was often quoted and inspired chapter titles (potentially more). Overall, the game was fun and scary (at times)! I thought the plot was pretty good, though it seems to be, basically, a rehash of Code Veronica--nothing spectacular but sows the seeds to keep the series going. The campaign itself was a little frustrating with ammo being ridiculously scarce and constantly needing to creep around as your secondary character to find precious sparkles. Where this game easily shines, and shines brightly, is the Raid mode. Its fantastic and fun revisiting levels and enemies from Resident Evil 6, Revelations 1 and Revelations 2. Ever since Resident Evil 3 introduced "The Mercenaries" that mode has always been my favorite part of the game (including Resident Evil 6--the one part that didnt suck). Revelations 2 is well worth a purchase for any Resident Evil fan--even those disillusioned by 6. This is one of my very favorite games of the past console generation, and my favorite franchise, as well. And on that subject, I would say that "A Crack in Time" is the best Ratchet and Clank adventure to date, though Im sure Insomniac is cooking up something extra special for the forthcoming "Into the Nexus", as well as whatever Lombax madness might be arriving on the highly vaunted PS4. If you are a Ratchet fan, you need this game in your collection. If youre a fan of platformers, you absolutely NEED to give this game a try. Ive never played a better platformer in my life, though Rayman Origins comes darned close (although the two are so different, its hard to make an adequate comparison - lets just agree that theyre both awesome). Whats particularly noteworthy about "A Crack in Time" is just how much there is to do in this crazy universe. The story-driven campaign is quite lengthy on its own, but I love revisiting the sectors that Ive already passed through. There, I can search moons and planets for additional challenges and collectibles, including gold bolts, zoni, and schematics for the ultimate weapon, the RYNO V. Additionally, I can answer distress calls from other star travelers and assist them, upgrade my spaceship, do battle with other ships, collect weapons and gadgets, focus on leveling up Ratchet AND all his crazy weapons, visit the coliseum for arena battles, and so forth. And as if all that wasnt enough, theres STILL the challenge mode (New Game+), trophies, AND a whole bunch of skill points to acquire. This is platforming perfection, and Ratchet and Clank gold. One of my favorite games of all time, I give it my highest possible recommendation. Its impossible to play this game and not have FUN, and just as impossible to not SMILE! Enjoy, space cadets! The game is nicely split between the adventures of Ratchet on one hand, and the adventures of Clank on the other (Clanks portion of the game is actually the most entertaining and amusing). Other than the great graphics, challenging gameplay, fun story and ribald humor that weve come to expect from this series, there are a lot of interesting aspects to this installment that make it a standout: hoverboots were a fantastic idea, they are tremendous fun to use; General Azimuth, one of the last remaining Lombaxes, is a fun companion; the voice acting in this game is some of the best Ive heard in a video game -- the best since Red Dead Redemption, which is arguably the best of all time; and the soundtrack in this one is really fantastic, puts you in the mood for a rousing space epic. I could only come up with two minor problems that keep this from being a five star classic: firstly the choice of weapons is surprisingly mediocre, certainly nowhere near as good as Tools of Destruction; and the lack of a female presence in the game is kind of a letdown -- if you are going to have a rousing space epic of game, it would be nice (from a male players POV) to have a good-looking, clever female sidekick with black belt in karate, a Princess Leia to your Han Solo. But these were only two minor flaws. Crack in Time is at least as good as the superb Tools of Destruction, and a worthy installment in the series. Previous knowledge isnt required, but there are occasional nods through the story. Those familiar with the series should know what to expect, and the game delivers: Outrageous weapons, bizarre alien worlds, silly fun with sci-fi tropes; its all there. The biggest change this time around is that the two title characters are separated for most of the game, due to events that took place at the end of the previous title. Ratchets gameplay remains the same, though his jumping skills are limited. Clanks, however, is completely new in that it deals with a lot of puzzle elements involving the use of "time clones" to coordinate series of platforming challenges. They can be surprisingly tricky, especially for those just here for the run-and-gun gameplay, but luckily these can be skipped if the game notices youre talking a long time to complete them. You lose out on some bonuses, but its nothing that will detract from the core experience. My only real complaint here is the new gimmick of Ratchets hover-boots. You get these several levels in, and they can be tricky to control, often leading to multiple deaths within certain portions of the level. Your experience may vary, but I wasnt a fan. All in all, though, if youre a fan of this series and havent gotten around to picking this up, its definitely worth your time. On top of the fact that these licensed remotes actually work consistently and they dont ever break, Nintendo has made quite a few neat improvements since the original Wii remotes: -First off, Wii Motion Plus is built in, which is really nice. -Batteries last for hours upon hours upon hours (though Id still recommend buying rechargeable batteries.) -The grips now have these little grooves in them which makes them very comfortable to hold onto. -The button for syncing is now found on the outside of the remote, so you dont have to remove the backing to sync it with your Wii/Wii U -And the remotes come with those rubber grips, which personally, I find a hassle and would rather just not bother with, but other users might find them to be pretty neat. So if you need a remote or a few extra remotes, just splurge the extra dollars and go with something licensed, theres much more value in it. It was so awesome looking & feeling that I had to get Luigi to match! Then Peach! And obviously at this point, Im too far into it to not want to collect them all. All of them are themed so perfectly, and this one is no different. They each have a primary color to match the respective character, as well as secondary and tertiary colors which all jive perfectly with the characters they represent. Peachs color scheme: Light Pink: Front, wrist strap clamp Pink/Magenta: Back, rubber sleeve, wrist strap, 1&2 buttons Yellow: D-Pad White: Peach Crown Logo, A button Also, these Wii Remotes are region free! So yes, you absolutely *can* use the Japanese version on a US console. The physical remotes are no different between regions, only the box and instructions. And yes, these newer, awesomer remotes include the Wii Motion Plus accessory built-in, and it can be used on the original Wii console as well as the Wii U. So as you may gather, these basically have 100% compatibility with whatever you want to use them for! Two non-rechargeable AA Panasonic batteries are included to get you started. So just pop those in, and push the small red sync button on the back of the remote where the battery compartment is, as well as the sync button on the front of your Wii/Wii U. One other great thing, is unlike the older Wiimotes, the sync button can be pressed through the case and rubber sleeve, so you *dont* need to remove the sleeve or battery cover to sync the remote. While I still have my Wii and WiiU I only had one Wii remote to pass among the two consoles and yes while the WiiU doesnt actually need the remote unless youre playing wii games on it or using a specific wiiu game that requires it it wasnt really needed for the WiiU. Except I decided I wanted to play some of my gamecube games and yes while I still have a functional gamecube console I felt it was better to just hookup the wii again to my t.v. and with that this extra remote has definitely helped me. The overall design is the same as it is with other wii plus remote but its the color and character deign scheme that definitely make it stand out from the one color remotes that came before it. While we may never get any new wii character remotes its nice to see that you can still get these at affordable prices. Some have said just get a third party developer remotes but after doing so just once for my PS3 controller and how badly that ended I refuse to get any third party controllers again and will just stick with the company ones and while they are somewhat pricier you at least know youre getting a good quality device. I should have bought the official Nintendo Wii Remote in the first place. The quality is top notch, and syncing it up with my Wii was a breeze. My wife and I love our Wii for the sports games, and having a second controller is a must. I highly recommend if you are replacing a controller or just picking up a second (or third, or fourth). The rubber grip is awkward and seems to interfere with the sensor, but its easily removed and not necessarily as the remote is pretty durable. Por Rich em 21 de junho de 2016 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada I am a computer consultant, so I install a lot of SSDs. I have already installed about 15 or so of these brackets, and have decided I like them better than the Sabrent dual SSD brackets. I have installed over 50 of the Sabrent brackets before I discovered these. These are easier to use for the most part. Also, these put the connectors in about the same location as a regular hard drive, so it fits more brackets (such as those blue plastic ones Dell uses). The ONLY thing that drives me nuts about these brackets is how they package the screws. It comes with 3 sets of 4 screws, each in their own little bag, which is TIGHTLY rolled up and then TAPED shut. It is really challenging to get the screws out without cutting yourself. I have written to Corsair to try to get them to change this, since I will probably be installing hundreds of these things. These brackets are good, but some of the edges are kinda sharp. Of course, if you work on computers a lot you realize there are a lot of sharp things inside a computer case. But for you novices out there, just be careful when you handle these. Bottom line: I prefer these over the Sabrents because of where they position the SSD connectors, and because it is easier to install a SSD in them. But then I realized Im the idiot and this bracket should not pay for my sins. If its helpful for any of you: I installed this in combination with a Samsung 850 EVO in a 21.5" 2011 iMac. As mentioned, it took me forever to figure it out before I finally realized it needed to be installed UPSIDE DOWN in order for everything to fit properly. They feature an all aluminum construction, making the adapter practically featherlight. I bought three of these recently to install in a MicroATX PC case I also recently purchased (Raijintek Styx). My case usually supports either one of two configurations: 1) 3x 3.5” HDDs + 2x 2.5” HDDs 2) 1x 3.5” HDDs + 4x 2.5” HDDs With three of these adapters, I can install EIGHT 2.5” HDDs... LOL! If you are not a case modder (and/or if you are afraid of breaking your stuff) just take my word for it— read no further. This is the adapter you want. If you ARE a case modder (and/or if you are not afraid of potentially breaking your stuff), then I have a pro tip for you: if you break the 2.5” HDD guide tabs off with a pair of pliers, it’s possible to install a 15mm tall 2.5” HDD (example: any 4TB 2.5” HDD currently on the market) IN ADDITION TO a standard height 2.5” HDD. If you succeed in breaking the tabs off cleanly, you will want to mount your 15mm tall drive in the bottom slot. While you’re aligning the drive with the screw holes, screw the screws in loosely, then gently push down on the drive and tighten the screws. Then, grab your standard height drive and align it with the screw holes on the top slot. Do the same as last time, except THIS time you will want to pull UP on the drive as you tighten the screws. If you did everything right, you will have a decent amount of space between the two drives and they should NOT be making any contact with each other. It may be possible to put TWO 15mm tall 2.5” drives in one adapter, but it may be too tall for in your 3.5” bay. However I have not tested this (...yet). Por Anon em 2 de novembro de 2016 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada Im an experienced computer builder and needed to mount an SSD in an older Thermaltake Armor MX Case. Pros: Very sturdy. Nicely finished. No sharp edges. Cool Corsair logo. Potential Cons: I really only have two: 1) The screws provided have a shallow cut Phillips screw head. None of the precision screwdrivers I own would unscrew these screws well. I had to use a pair of pliers to unscrew the screws from the drive after a screw fitting test. Very odd--never had this happen before--I have a comprehensive set of screwdrivers and none fit well. I ended up replacing them with standard SSD mounting screws, which had no problems. Tip: Its helpful to have a pair of long tweezers or a Kelly clamp handy if you want to mount an SSD in the lower slot to hold the screw steady when attaching the drive. 2) The mount does not fit exactly in the Thermaltake Armor MX screwless drive enclosures (which you need in order to fit the drives in the drive cage). I had to get a pair of tin snips to cut off about 2 to 3 mm off of the front corner of the mounting bracket to get the screw holes to line up. Im not blaming either Corsair nor Thermaltake for this--just noting it in case someone else wishes to use this mount with that particular case. In summary, great mounting bracket that will suit the vast majority of folks. Im only taking a half a star off for the odd screws. (It is possible that I got a bad set.) In any event, easily rectified and I would purchase this mount again. Shelley started writing the story when she was eighteen, and the novel was published when she was twenty. The first edition was published anonymously in London in 1818. Shelley's name appears on the second edition, published in France in 1823. Shelley had travelled through Europe in 1814, journeying along the river Rhine in Germany with a stop in Gernsheim which is just 17 km away from Frankenstein Castle, where, two centuries before, an alchemist was engaged in experiments. Later, she travelled in the region of Geneva (Switzerland)-where much of the story takes place-and the topic of galvanism and other similar occult ideas were themes of conversation among her companions, particularly her lover and future husband, Percy Shelley. Mary, Percy, Lord Byron, and John Polidori decided to have a competition to see who could write the best horror story. After thinking for days, Shelley dreamt about a scientist who created life and was horrified by what he had made; her dream later evolved into the novel's story. Shelley completed her writing in May 1817, and Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus was first published on 11 March 1818 by the small London publishing house of Lackington, Hughes, Harding, Mavor, & Jones. The second edition of Frankenstein was published on 11 August 1822 in two volumes (by G. and W. B. Whittaker) following the success of the stage play Presumption; or, the Fate of Frankenstein by Richard Brinsley Peake; this edition credited Mary Shelley as the author. On 31 October 1831, the first "popular" edition in one volume appeared, published by Henry Colburn & Richard Bentley. This edition was heavily revised by Mary Shelley, partially because of pressure to make the story more conservative, and included a new, longer preface by her, presenting a somewhat embellished version of the genesis of the story. This edition tends to be the one most widely read now, although editions containing the original 1818 text are still published. Many scholars prefer the 1818 text, arguing that it preserves the spirit of Shelley's original publication. For this review, Ill be comparing this mouse to the Logitech G502. I recently purchased both mice and have had a few weeks to use both. They are two of the most popular gaming mice on the market and direct competitors, so this comparison should prove useful for some. First off, this is the most beautiful mouse Ive ever seen. The build quality is incredible and a huge step above any mouse Ive used before. The aluminum chassis, rubberized top and sandpaper-like sides make for an incredibly well crafted device. The switches have what I would consider elegant actuation, with good tactile feel that is smooth with a satisfying, muted click noise. The scroll wheel feels elegant as well, with a really nice rubber material and super smooth scrolling action. The LED implementation is also really nice, with a beautifully lit scroll wheel area and brilliant illumination on the back of the mouse. This mouse illuminates the mouse pad and just looks really great, with the option to cycle through the RGB colors or use static colors. In short, its the best built and best looking mouse Ive seen, and possibly the best looking peripheral Ive ever used- on par with Corsairs gorgeous keyboards. Compared to the G502, this mouse is a step above in build quality and looks. The tracking on this mouse is excellent. It contains a pixart 3360 sensor, regarded as the best optical sensor on the market. The tracking is extremely accurate. The G502 contains a 3366 (Logitechs variant of the same sensor), so they are very similar. Having said that, I do feel that the G502 is slightly more accurate and responsive. Its hard to articulate what the difference is, its more of a feel you get using both mice. The G502 just seems to track basically perfectly, whereas I did have slightly more trouble aiming with pinpoint accuracy with this mouse. In reality though, the difference would probably be imperceptible to most users. The location of the "sniper button" is right where your thumb would normally rest. This would present a problem, but the button does require decent actuation force, so I never found myself accidentally activating it while playing. I was able to lift the mouse just fine as well. I do like the location of the "sniper button" on the G502 a bit more, where its located just at the tip of your thumb. It totally prevents any accidental press of the button, and just felt a little more natural to me. Now we get to the main issue I have with this mouse, and the reason I deducted one star. The shape and weight of this mouse will not be for everyone. Its shorter than most mice, while also being a bit stocky and wide. I use a fingertip type grip where my palm sort of floats above the top surface of the mouse, so I didnt have much of an issue adapting to the shape. However for those with a true palm grip, I doubt they would find this mouse comfortable. I think its probably made mostly for claw grip, and probably most fingertip users will find it comfortable as well (such as myself). However in comparison to the G502, this M65 is decidedly less comfortable. The G502 fits me like a glove. I especially like the extended thumb rest on the G502, and I prefer the grippy textured sides to the sandpaper-like sides of this M65. Aiming and lifting just feels more natural on the G502 for me. The weight of this mouse is probably its major issue. It comes with 3 weights installed in the underside of the mouse, and its just plain heavy. With the weights installed, I found difficult in lifting the mouse without my fingers slipping, and quick wrist actions for aiming are a bit more difficult than on lighter mice. I find it interesting that a mouse marketed as an FPS mouse would be so heavy out of the box. I removed all 3 of the weights, and its definitely much better. The G502 is also considered a heavy mouse, but it comes without the weights installed. I think without weights, the M65 still feels slightly heavier than the G502. Its definitely something to keep in mind for people who prefer lighter mice. The mouse is just heavy, no getting around it. Other than the stock/short size and the weight, this mouse is incredible. It looks so elegant next to my Corsair K70 keyboard, and it just exudes a quality of build that Ive never seen in a mouse before. Most mice are full of plastic, as the G502 is. The M65 will instantly impress you with how well its made and how great it looks. However, looks are not enough for me to recommend this mouse over the G502. I think the G502 is probably the best mouse Ive ever used, even though it looks overly "gamery" and has a plasticy build quality. It just sports more cool features (free scroll wheel being my favorite) and is supremely comfortable. However for those of you who have owned Corsair mice in the past, or who prioritize looks over slightly better performance, the M65 Pro RGB is a wonderful mouse. I would consider it the second best mouse Ive ever used, and this is coming from a loyal MX518 and G400 user. The middle button started to malfunction which I have never experienced before, but because I loved this mouse so much I decided to just get another one and use my semi broken one on another PC. I un-boxed the new one and started using it immediately on my games. After only 2 hours, I noticed my thumb hurting as if i dragged it over sandpaper. Literally red and throbbing. The sides of this mouse have some sort of coating on it that must be non slip or something, its totally different than the same mouse from a year ago, which was very smooth and comfortable. Using this mouse is literally painful. If your a gamer and have the mouse in your hand for 10-15 hours a day, you will most likely have the skin rubbed off your index finger and thumb, because this awful sand paper coating is on both sides. They had a perfect mouse less the issue with the middle mouse button failing early...and now its totally worthless. I bought a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones almost two years ago for my now twelve year old daughter, and I was so impressed with them that I decided to buy this pair after checking out all of the positive reviews. Well, the majority of reviews were spot-on. These things put out very good sound and I was most happy to hear that the bass was not overpowering. (That was my biggest fear before purchase). The battery life on these headphones is excellent, as well as the charging time. The fit is superb. Although they may be marketed as "on ear", they are nearly "over the ear" phones, and, very comfortable I might add. The cans arent too big and they arent too small....they are just right. (Funny, where have I heard that before?) They have virtually no sound leakage either (yes, sounds weird, but really, the person on the side of you wont hear all of your jam), which is especially good for those long airplane flights or bus rides. And last but not least, the price is right. At under one hundred dollars they simply cant be Beat(s). I think these are the best bluetooth headphones for 100 bucks. Sony did a great job on these. Pros: 30 hours battery Nice design NFC pairing (just hold your phone to the NFC sign and it will automatically connect to them every time, even if the headphones are off) Great bluetooth range (can walk around my apartment and the connection does not suffer anywhere) They sound really good. Better than my beats headphones. No cons for me. Now if you compare them to the XB950s there are some differences. I believe they both have their pros and cons. The XB650s have these things over the XB950s: Better design. These are much smaller and they dont look like huge earmuffs like the 950s. 30 hours battery life compared to the 20 hours on the XB950s. Lighter in weight compared to the XB950s. These actually tell you the battery level compared to the XB950s which you have to look at confusing light pulses. Better balanced sound and still has a lot of bass. The XB950s have these things over the XB650s: It has an AUX port if you decide not to use bluetooth. The XB650s do not have an AUX port. It has an "extra bass" button and the XB650s do not. Sound is a tiny bit louder than the XB650s. Overall I think the XB650s are better. The aux port that the 950s have is not a big deal to me because my laptop and phone have bluetooth. Also, the aux port on the 950s only work with that specific aux cable that it comes with. The headphones design makes it so that other aux cables will not be able to fit in the slot. The Extra bass boost button on the 950s are also not a big deal to me. The 950s without the bass boost already sound really bass heavy and the button is just overkill. And I like bass. I mostly listen to hiphop too so its not like I am a person listening to classical music. I do like that the 950s are a little bit louder. But its not a real big difference and definitely not enough of a difference for me to choose the 950s over the 650s. I would say that the 650s are bass heavy headphones and the 950s are a little bit too much even without the bass boost on. Overall, the smaller look, the longer battery life, the more balanced sound are all reasons why I chose the 650s over the 950s. And the 650s are 98 bucks right now on amazon. Definitely worth the money. Ive had the 950s for since around Christmas so about 5 months and they have been my main headphones until now that I got the 650s. I just really did not like how the 950s look like huge earmuffs on your head. They also felt heavy while wearing them. The 650s took care of these issues and are now my go to headphones. My wife has a pair of the 950s that I really liked (bass is ridiculous but better to have too much and EQ it out). Unfortunately the 950s cost $200 and I just didnt feel like going there for my sometimes-y listening. I saw these for $130 and while still above what I wanted to spend, they had a pair at the store in a listening kiosk and I was blown away. They actually sounded better balanced than the 950s (which were also in the kiosk) yet still churned out tons of bass. Here are my explained thoughts: Build Quality (B): "Very" lightweight with a metal band connecting the cans via a sandwich of generic plastic that have decent adjustability. The cups can swivel 180 deg so you can lay them around your neck in a little more comfort or store them flat. They dont feel expensive but dont look cheap. I got black cause Im not flashy but saw the blue and red and they certainly show off some of the design elements better. Fit, Comfort, Operation (A): I usually prefer over-the-ear headphones but these on-the-ear phones do an amazing job of creating a seal that keeps bleed in or out very low. They are very lightweight so fatigue should not be an issue and theres no pressure points on the ears or on the top of the head. The controls are all on the right cup and work smoothly and provide great feedback. Uses standard micro USB for charging. This set does not have a wired option like the 950. I have not run the battery down as I charge it every other night I use it and I probably never will if it gets even close to the 30 hours of battery advertised. Sound (A): The most important part. There is a strong V profile to all these "ExtraBass" headsets and some people may be bothered by this colored sound but it does a good job of presenting you good amounts of everything from low to high. The bass is strong but not silly like the 950s are capable of. I did EQ everything from 125Hz down by -3db to get to my taste. Highs and mids are crisp and clean and overall reproduction should sound great most ears. Time will tell how well they hold up but the sound is amazing, comfort is high and the price (at least for me) was very reasonable. I did not purchase from Amazon (had store credit for a return). Comparison Vid: [...] I was sick and tired of the Razer knock off clicky switches. It was nice for a couple months, but now it is quite irritating and unsatisfying to type on. Therefore I decided to get the Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Brown switches. DESIGN: Personally I like this design better than the Blackwidow. The Blackwidow seems to have a matte fingerprint/oil attracted finish to it. This keyboard however has a clean sleek design that trumps that Blackwidow. The finish on this keyboard seems to be fingerprint resistant and doesnt seem to stain as easy as the Blackwidow. ALSO IT COMES WITH THE OG CORSAIR SAILS LOGO (THANK YOU CORSAIR) not the new "Corsair Gaming" logo that everybody hated. KEYS: I have never owned a Cherry MX Keyboard until now and IT IS AMAZING TO TYPE ON. This keyboard has the option of MX Browns, Reds, or Corsairs "Silent Switches." I decided to get Browns because its halfway between a Red(Silent) and Blue (Clicky) switch, basically the best of both worlds. Browns are not as loud as blues, theyre nearly the same as Reds actually. Its just that Brown switches have a more tactile feedback feel when you type on them compared to Reds. The keycaps themselves on the other hand are similar in feel and look to the Razer keycaps. BUT Corsair includes a set of FPS and MOBA keycaps ALONG WITH a keycap puller so you can customize it to your needs. Props to Corsair for that. LEDS: The casing for the keycaps are clear so you get the maximum shine of color from the switches. Every switch has their own RGB LED that is customize able to what game youre gonna play. There are also two white LED strips on the side of the keyboard to add a nice clean finish to the keyboard. I have attached pictures to clarify. And there are 3 brightness settings for you to choose from. OTHER: Like I said before, Corsair throws in some extra accessories to sweeten the deal: -MOBA/FPS Keycaps -Keycap puller -Detachable wrist rest (which is quite comfortable to use actually) Now to the reason why Im giving this 4 stars... SOFTWARE: Im just gonna say it, the Razer Synapse software for the Chroma is much better than Corsairs CUE software. It took me about 30 minutes to an hour to figure out how to set a certain keycap a certain color. They do have instructions on their website, but its not clear enough for all the features. When I got my Razer Blackwidow Chroma, it was simple (INSANELY SIMPLE) to customize the LEDS to your specific needs. However for Corsair, it seems like theyre getting there but ever so slowly. For example you need to go to 3 or 4 different pages on Corsair software to set all the keys white and WASD a different color. It was just a very frustrating experience for me using the CUE software. Hopefully in the future it will be on the same level as Razers Synapse. OVERALL PROS: -Cherry MX Browns -Design -Price (Cheaper than Blackwidow Chroma) -Accessories (Keycaps/wrist rest) -USB Passthrough CONS: -CUE Software - No headphone/mic passthrough In the end, I recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for an upgrade or their first mechanical keyboard. The price of $149 is very much worth it considering all the extra accessories that come along with it. As for the software, give it some more time and Im sure major improvements will be made. Those felt amazing, so I thought. After around 10 minutes of typing and playing Battlefield 1, I realized these switches feel cheap and are not good for me. I did a bunch more research and decided I must have a keyboard with RGB lighting. Of all the keyboards that I saw through videos on YouTube, the Strafe was the most impressive. I tried to find a Strafe RGB with blue switches to mimic the Razer greens, but I could only find a refurbished one at Newegg for $150. Turns out there were issues with them and theyre no longer being made. I decided to go with the Reds because thats what many gamers I know use. I have been using this keyboard for 11 days now and I am very satisfied with it. The software is easy to use and allows for customization, the keys feel great when typing and when playing (FPS games that is), it looks really pretty, and it even has a USB port. But to use that you will need to plug in the second USB that is attached to the keyboards main cable. All in all, everything about this keyboard is absolutely wonderful. In case you didnt know, there are a few people that that frequent r/RGB Profiles on Reddit and the Corsair forums that create custom RGB lighting schemes that you can use with Corsair peripherals. Everyone can make custom profiles, but it is tough and is much easier to download profiles. I also own a Corsair M65 Pro and I found a guy through the Corsair RGB forums that lets you download free lighting schemes for all devices- so theyre in sync. He even has really great videos demonstrating the lights. He goes by "Schwitz". I am very satisfied with this keyboard. I attached a video of some of my favorite profiles. The USB pass through is really nice as well. If you wait for it to be on sale like $100 dollars for the RGB, then its a really good deal. There are some cons though: the cable is very thick and there is no cable management which might be a problem for some. The software is hard to use and only for windows no linus or mac software compatibility(there is a unofficial software called ckb for mac, and it works great). The pros: keys are nice and fast, I have the browns which have the really nice tactile feedback. The RGB is bright and can show really fun patterns and designs. The build great and solid even without the glossy metal like on the K70. One important thing to note is that on my personal keyboard one of the keys light went off and stayed off on the first day I got it. I tried unplugging and re plugging and restarting the software but no luck, the key still works but the light doesnt. It bugs me but is no problem cuz the key still works. Overall this is the best keyboard for the price and the pros overweight the cons.
