It has a hard rubberized plastic around corners allowing for a decent grip and making it somewhat easy to put the phone in and slip out without causing damage. It also has a hard plastic back with rubberized corners just slightly raised so you can set it down without worrying about the camera. The Note 4 fits perfectly snug inside and the power/volume buttons have no gap so feel nice and flush. I personally like the flaps to cover the usb/headphone port, they go in nice and snug and seem durable. There is easily enough open room to grab the s pen and also use the heart rate monitor on back. Overall it is a very nice case for the price. The only "con" is at least on mine, the bottom isnt perfectly flush just under the home button. But this has a slight advantage as it gives juuuust enough room to easily swipe your thumb at an angle over the fingerprint scanner. The unfortunate thing I find is that with time all clear cases start to become kind of dirty looking. This one became sort of grayish, which is not an entirely bad thing, considering I used it for 2 years. Also, I like the option to print a background that you can cut out using the stencil to place in the case. Its a cool idea that I did not take advantage of because Im lazy. All in all, good case, had no issues with it. I wanted a clear cover so I can enjoy the look of my phone. The clear Ringke cover is excellent,its been on my phone since dat one of arriving. Cover is clear no milky discoloration. Love the little flap covers for charging port and headphone jack to keep the dust out, They are still intact, especially the charging port which gets used everyday. Love the feel in my hand its not slippery. It comes with sticker stencile for back which can be used by creative types. I myself like it clear. Ive had many smartphones and have gone through many cases, and I can honestly say that this is my favorite. I got the clear version for the Note 4. Its the perfect blend between a rubber/TPU case and a hard plastic case. The sides feel soft like rubber, and the back feels like soft plexiglass. Its nice to be able to see the entire phone through this crystal clear case. The rubber on the sides covering the volume and power buttons is firm, but very easy to press, and you can feel the clicks of the buttons. All the cut-outs for the ports are perfectly aligned. The edge at the bottom of the case below the home button does dip down slightly, but I dont mind. The back of the case is pretty much flush with the camera lens, but there are are tiny feet on the back of the case in the corners that lift the lens and back of the case off whatever surface you set it on. It does say "Ringke FUSION" on the bottom right edge, but on the clear version it is in slightly raised clear letters and looks very tactful. The included template for tracing your own insert to put between the phone and the case is an interesting concept. The bonus screen protector is good quality and covers the main part of the screen, but not the bezels on the side, which Ive heard are slightly curved on this phone and hard for screen protectors to stick to. This one seems to fit nicely and does not show any signs of halo effect (protector peeling away from the curved edges). I thought this might be a temporary case and screen protector until finding something more expensive, but now Im just going to keep this one permanently. Highly recommended! I originally bought this so that I could decorate it, and I think itll be perfect for that. I actually plan on buying a second one, just to have, because I like it that much. I have an otterbox also, but its just so big and bulky. This is slim and comfortable and just a really good case. I dropped my phone twice today (but only from about foot off the ground), onto concrete, and its still perfect. The only thing I dont like about the case is the port covers. Its not that theyre bad, but they could use to be a little tighter fit (specifically the charging cover). Its somewhat loose when pushed in. Nothing major though and I wouldnt even dock a star for it. The shield that the case comes with, is sub-par though. Its too narrow (doesnt really go to the edge of the visual screen, and is FAR from the edge of the phone). Also, mine doesnt have the loose defect near the port. Its all very flush and tight all around. Its very sturdy and has a corner slot for a cell phone loop lanyard, which was the specific reason for buying this. The reason Im giving it only 4 out of 5 stars...forget about using Touch ID technology with this case. It just isnt foolproof and sensitive enough. My husband tried for days to accomplish this, but failed. He just turned it off out of frustration. Also, this case is slippery and slides across a table way too easily. It would be nice if the sides had some sort of rubberized grips added. My hubby used to have a Lifeproof case on his iPhone, but after he lost (and found his phone in the woods a week later), the home button seal was completely disconnected because the glue melted away. Luckily, the phone survived, but the case went into the trash. This case has a different home button covering--looks way more sturdy and reliable. The color is very nice and bright and he decided to keep it, but its doubtful he would buy this one again in the future unless Catalyst makes some adjustments to the slippery edges and Touch ID capabilities through the home button covering. The case is sleek and sturdy but has a weakest link which is the rubber plug that seals the bottom port and makes it waterproof. The material is also very durable- in the month Ive had it, there hasnt been any notable stains, as other similar mousepads Ive used in the past tend to have dust particle smashed into the surface giving it a chalky appearance. And finally, given the choice between the MM200 and the MM300, I would still prefer this product. The MM300 offers a anti-fray stitched edge which I actually find distracting, but if youre the type who fiddles with the mouse pad or otherwise comes in contact with the edges (unlikely, considering how big it is), the MM300 might work out better for you. If youre considering this kind of product, obviously you need to measure your desk out first because this can actually be too large for many desks. Secondly, be aware that this is a cloth texture mouse pad, not covered with hard plastic or the like (completely changes mouse movement). Personally, with my Logitech G402 I like this pads amount of friction as it allows smooth gliding with very good precision. The material is also very durable- in the month Ive had it, there hasnt been any notable stains, as other similar mousepads Ive used in the past tend to have dust particle smashed into the surface giving it a chalky appearance. And finally, given the choice between the MM200 and the MM300, I would still prefer this product. The MM300 offers a anti-fray stitched edge which I actually find distracting, but if youre the type who fiddles with the mouse pad or otherwise comes in contact with the edges (unlikely, considering how big it is), the MM300 might work out better for you. One major flaw that caused me to return the Spigen Neo Hybrid, the thin hard plastic parts where the button cut outs are on either side bows out and ends up getting caught on things. I am sure these gaps will fill in with debris and make things worse over time. This was the first day of use. No amount of reattaching and pressing it in place helps. The magnet strip where the cover and case meet isnt secured very well, and the cover metal pulled the magnet straight out of the case after about 4 months of normal use. The plastic holding the magnet then quickly snapped off where the magnet used to be, leaving me the choice between supergluing all of it back together, or finding a different case; I chose the latter (Inateck). Lastly, when it was intact, the cover did not do an adequate job of securing the "closed" position via the magnet. After closing my Paperwhite and going to sleep thinking it was securely off, I would sometimes wake to the Kindle believing that I had been "reading" the same page all night because it hadnt closed properly. This not only wastes the life of my backlight, but also throws my pages remaining count all out of whack and required manual fixing a few times. Ive had the case for 2-3 months now and the case looks pretty good still. It has a few faint stains, but since the case is a light color, that is kind of expected. The reason I gave the case only 3 stars, though, is because after a couple weeks, the magnets in the inside of the case started coming out when I opened the top. My husband ended up super gluing both of the magnets into their spots. The plastic on the outside, next to the magnets is weak so that ended up breaking while we were trying to fix the magnets, but we just glued that as well. So overall I give it three stars. The color and case is nice, but I would expect the magnets to stay put. At least until the case is a little bit older. Updated on 12/28: After publishing this review, the seller contacted me and offered to send a new case at no cost to me. It arrived quickly and looks like the magnets fit better than my old one. If youre considering this kind of product, obviously you need to measure your desk out first because this can actually be too large for many desks. Secondly, be aware that this is a cloth texture mouse pad, not covered with hard plastic or the like (completely changes mouse movement). Personally, with my Logitech G402 I like this pads amount of friction as it allows smooth gliding with very good precision. The material is also very durable- in the month Ive had it, there hasnt been any notable stains, as other similar mousepads Ive used in the past tend to have dust particle smashed into the surface giving it a chalky appearance. And finally, given the choice between the MM200 and the MM300, I would still prefer this product. The MM300 offers a anti-fray stitched edge which I actually find distracting, but if youre the type who fiddles with the mouse pad or otherwise comes in contact with the edges (unlikely, considering how big it is), the MM300 might work out better for you. If youre considering this kind of product, obviously you need to measure your desk out first because this can actually be too large for many desks. Secondly, be aware that this is a cloth texture mouse pad, not covered with hard plastic or the like (completely changes mouse movement). Personally, with my Logitech G402 I like this pads amount of friction as it allows smooth gliding with very good precision. The material is also very durable- in the month Ive had it, there hasnt been any notable stains, as other similar mousepads Ive used in the past tend to have dust particle smashed into the surface giving it a chalky appearance. And finally, given the choice between the MM200 and the MM300, I would still prefer this product. The MM300 offers a anti-fray stitched edge which I actually find distracting, but if youre the type who fiddles with the mouse pad or otherwise comes in contact with the edges (unlikely, considering how big it is), the MM300 might work out better for you. The magnetic clip was a little worrying, I always get nervous whenever magnets are near my electronics, but it seems to be a fear of a bygone era. It has no negative effect on the kindle whatsoever. It does make a satisfying clicking noise, however, when I close my kindle. I really like that clicking noise. This is slimmer than the original Amazon Paperwhite case, which was gifted to me, which I like because one of the selling points of the Paperwhite is how small it is. My favorite part is the hand strap, which is one of the primary reasons, I purchased this case. I have a handstrap on my tablet case and I use it regularly when I make use of my tablet, it is equally useful on this paperwhite. I feel safe using my kindle in the bath or while on the train. The paperwhite feels secure on my hand. Its not perfect though, the strap would feel better if it was place more towards the center of the cover, that way people with small hands could use it better with one hand. The cover also feels somewhat tight when closing over the kindle. I keep feeling the need to stretch the cover a little to sit flush with the kindle face. When I do this, however, the sleep/wake function stops working. Overall, great case, definitely worth the 11$. Its the perfect case for the price. Por Freader em 9 de maio de 2016 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada After ten months of use, my main complaint with this Paperwhite cover, could be solved if the plastic side of the cover had the same cut-out for the charge port and off/on button on the top, as it has on the bottom. This would enable it to accept the Paperwhite upside down, which would make for an easy left-hand hold with the hand strap. This would also place the strap in a position easiest to use for those with small hands. The second complaint is unless one has a gargantuan hand, or holds the cover with two hands, while reading lying on ones back, the heavier Kindle side can easily fall forward towards your face. A snap or a magnet closure connecting the two sections would prevent that. Also, the flexible spine allows the heavier Kindle side to skew, causing one to twist their wrist to keep the print straight - not very ergonomic for long reading sessions. Another problem - the magnet has come out of its slot, preventing proper closure of the cover, which drains the battery when the Kindle turns on by itself, intermittently. This doesnt happen with the cover left open, but then that negates the reason for a protective cover when carried in a purse or backpack. I have a Marware easel-style cover for the old Kindle Keyboard. The cover flips over the top and is held to the second section at the bottom with a well-made elastic band, with a handstrap on the back for easy one-handed use with either hand. One can also stand it up like an easel, while following recipes. I have yet to find a similar style for the Paperwhite. Ive threatened to remove the leather side of the Swees cover and just slide the plastic side with the Paperwhite into the Marware cover - it fits! Other than the above points, the overall quality of the cover holds up really well. The stitching is still tight and unfrayed with daily handling over the past ten months, and the leather, front and back, is unscratched after being carried around in a purse. The elastic hand strap is actually not as useful as you might think - when you open the case and flip the cover around to the back of the Kindle, there is nothing to secure the front flap to the back. So whether or not you are using the hand strap, you still have to support the device with both your thumb and 4 fingers. Its marginally useful if you spend a lot of time reading while laying down with the kindle directly above your head. If this case had a magnet on the back of the case as well as the front, it would be a 5-star item. While searching for it, however, I came across Ankers newest entry, the SoundCore Sport XL. Given the price, my general satisfaction with Anker, and Amazons solid return policy, I decided to give both speakers a try. Ill note that the SoundCore Sport XL is probably more comparable to the JBL Charge 2 given that both units have a USB port to let you charge your phone or other device. The Flip 3 doesnt have charging output port. If you want the shortest possible answer: Were keeping the Flip 3 and giving the SoundCore XL as a gift. But it was almost a coin toss about which was going to stay. Sound: I wanted this speaker to have enough volume for modest outdoor gatherings (both meet that criteria, though the Flip 3 is probably a touch louder) and sound good enough that I wouldnt mind having it playing in the house. Im also biased against todays tendency for consumer speakers to emphasize bass response over every other frequency range. If you like your music boom-y, Im not going to like the same speakers that you will. My wife and I listened to each of them across a wide range of music from classical to folk to hip-hop to pop to hard rock, trying to get a sense of which we liked better. The answer, as it turned out, was "it depends." The Flip 3 is definitely not as "flat" audibly as the SoundCore. Within the limits of what you can do with a small speaker, the Flip seems to emphasize the bass and treble ends of the spectrum more. High treble even sounded unnaturally "sizzly" for a couple songs. In others, the vocalist almost seemed a bit buried under the rest of the mix--though never disturbingly so. (Were talking nuance here, and your ears may have a different experience.) The SoundCore is definitely more flat sounding. It doesnt produce as much bass as the Flip, but thats not necessarily a bad thing, and it never had the sizzling issue in the treble. It just sounds...even. People used to the punchy sound emphasized by consumer speaker and headphone manufacturers, however, may find that the music lacks a bit of life. Which did we prefer? Ultimately it depended on what we were playing. Folk, country and music from the 70s and 80s that clearly was mixed with the intent of playing over the radio we often preferred on the SoundCore. More current pop, rock, and hip-hop sounded better to us on the JBL. In the final count, the JBL came out on top, but not by much. Ive been listening to both for a few days now, switching back and forth every so often, and I find that Im inclined toward the JBL, but I certainly dont mind the SoundCore. Size and Build: The SoundCore Sport XL is about 7 x 3 x 1.75 inches and wrapped in what feels like very sturdy, slightly rubbery plastic. Its definitely heavy in your hand and makes you feel confident that it can hold up to some rigorous outdoor use. The biggest issue with the design is that I found myself constantly grabbing into the bass port on the back, which includes a metal cover over a stretchy membrane for a passive woofer. I have no idea if pushing on the cover would damage the passive woofer, but it was disconcerting. The Flip 3 is 6.5 x 2.5 inches and covered in a dense fabric with hard plastic ends. Its slightly lighter in the hand, and the cylindrical shape makes it more comfortable to pick up and carry around. It feels solidly built if not quite as tank-like as the SoundCore. Never before has someone created this combination of size, sound quality, loudness, bass response, splash proof all for only $99! I have previously owned UE boom, Denon Envaya mini and JBL charge plus 2. These are the Flip 3s closest competitors. Here is my summary of the competition. UE boom: the reason I believe the UE boom is so popular is the form factor is just right and its loud for its size. What I dont like about the UE Boom is its $200 price tag and almost no bass whatsoever. Denon Envaya Mini: so close, I just wish it was louder and the battery would only last a few hours a moderate volumes. JBL Charge 2+: overall really good speaker, my two issues are, the sound profile is too bloated. Yes it has good bass for its side but it tends to drown out the higher frequencies and has quite a bit of dynamic compression at high volumes. Also I just wish it was a little smaller to fit in camping chair cup holders and more portable. And now for the JBL flip 3: its as loud as the UE boom, does not have the battery life issues of the Denon and does not have bloated bass like the charge 2+. The sound profile is well balanced, the upper frequencies are slightly upfront with decent bass for its size. My prediction, this will be the best selling Bluetooth speaker in its class! I placed it on my phone immediately as I took it out of the package, so had little need for the accessories. That said, those accessories were plentiful and would have been useful for someone needing to clean a streaks and dust. I had to lift it up a little because one corner wasnt sealing. I lifted the corner up very gently, and it cracked. First I ordered the wrong style, then I get the right one today and it breaks before I can even use it. I think I will be trying a different products. If it breaks that easily just gently lifting it, I have concerns about how much protection it would provide. It fits perfectly for my phone, it just wont stay on. Had a friend check it too and she had the same experience. not giving up yet though!
