Read the reviews of all the various wireless Flashback versions over the years and youll see the same complaint: The controllers lag, require line-of-sight with the console and will drive you crazy! So try to find a wired Flashback console. Or buy this wireless one and connect wired controllers to it. All versions of the Flashback have wired controller ports. I have the Flashback 5 with two wired controllers and it works great, pretty much like an original Atari 2600 from back in the day. Sure the Flashback 6 and 7 add a few more games, but otherwise they are the same as the other Flashback versions that have come out over the last few years. Id rather have a few less games and good controllers! Pros –A pleasant, nostalgic trip down Atari memory lane –Has many of the all time greats: Asteroids, Space Invaders, Centipede, Frogger, Missile Command –Console is more compact than original and uses buttons instead of levers. –Two Wireless joysticks, one with Start and Select buttons for convenient play Cons –Documentation too scant: hard to figure out how to play some games –Joystick control is coarse: hard to control in games like Pong –The video seems to me to be even cruder than the original Atari 2600 –Can’t update or add games. There isn’t a socket for original game cartridges. –Easy for fingers to block IR emitter on joystick, causing loss of control Some Things You Should Know –The console’s output is composite video, that is, the console has a hard wired yellow video plug and white audio plug. Computer monitors don’t usually have these inputs, but most TVs still do. –There are sockets on the console to handle wired joysticks and paddles, so you can use original Atari or Commodore controllers if you have them. (I tried an original Atari joystick, and its response was no better than the wireless sticks included.) –I couldn’t get some games, like Blackjack, to work. I looked on Wikipedia to find that this game was originally a paddle game. That may be the problem since I didn’t have a paddle. This may also explain the problem with Pong. –I tried to use an original Atari trackball, and it didn’t work, except for the fire button. The trackball has joystick and trackball settings: neither setting worked. That’s it. A few great games to bring back the olden times, but nothing astonishing. If you can play Centipede and Asteroids for hours on end, this is for you. I personally use the backpack for school. I am able to put a macbook air 13.3 inch in a sleeve, a half full one and one half inch three ring binder, a book about one and a half inches thick, and two one subject notebooks with no problem at all. The materials of the backpack arent that high of a quality but it has held up so far with everyday use. The front vertical slit-like pocket is much larger than expected. Yes, it is skinny, but I was able to fit 2 softcover reading books in there! The next front pocket has many spots for pens and such. This is where I kept my crossbody purse while boarding the plane, and I was also able to fit my quart sized baggie of liquids in here for easy access. In the main compartment, there is a slot for your laptop, a little spot in front of that which could be used for cords, and yet another mesh divider spot. I was able to fit 3 days of clothes, a bathing suit and cover-up, pair of sandals, jewelry, curling iron, and straightener in here. While it may look full in the picture, it was still squishable. This backpack is MUCH smaller, even when fully packed than the maximum size requirement for Spirit Airlines, here in the United States. I measured it before and after packing it, and even if I were to pack it 100% full, Id still be under their limit. It gets close in the longest measurement, the height, but really works great. I used this product for only 1 trip so far, but will be sure to use it as my free "purse" again soon! MY ONLY COMPLAINT, and this is a personal preference, is that its pretty stiff. I was able to fit a laptop, chargers, iPad, and a few other small accessories without any problem. If you go to a big box store you will pay twice for this same bag or get a cheaper one that lacks the quality. I would recommend this item to someone looking for a durable bag for a low price. Teruru Ichigaya, an artificial humanoid, enters the scene and is almost immediately attacked by an ocean-based squid type Gauna. Who knew the Tsugumori had floater bags on its’ feet? I really enjoyed page 60 where Tanikaze manually course corrects a projectile into the target - cool! Book eleven is another solid entry in the series. The relationship cliffhanger from the last book is cleared up, further living arrangement issues develop sitcom style and even the giant bear character, Ms. Hiyama, is explained a bit. I wish Amazon would add a way to indicate if a product exceeds expectation. This is a great camera for the price. I paid 69.00 Jan 5 of 2018. Ive been using the SJCAM SJ4000 for over 6 years as a dash cam. Works great. Inexpensive. I wont drive without a dashcam of some sort and these have been working perfectly. I use the clamp mount to my rear view mirror base so it wont fall. I dont trust the suction cups which have always eventually fallen for me. I use a 64gb card and get over 6 hours of record time, allows me to download files less frequently. I also use it on casual bicycle trips, although its a pretty shaky picture. I put one in my moms car because she was accused of rear-ending someone who had actually hit the car in front of them and tried to make it look like my mom caused it. Fortunately, she had no damage to the front of her car so it was clear she didnt cause the accident. BE CAREFUL BUYING these as there have been many fake/counterfeits. Ive tried some of them and they may be worth the lower price but they perform poorly. Buy from SJCAM directly and Im sure youll be safe. I have an Apple/Mac computer and use FCPX to edit videos. These files work/process well. The files are.MOV. Thats important for me because AVI files dont seem to work directly with my computer/software. Of course, they can be converted but that adds to the time to process. Ive owned GoPro in the past and they, of course, are a better camera but for what Im using it for I dont need the extra quality/cost. An important feature for me is the Timestamp. I think GoPro still does not have this as a built-in feature but I may be wrong. Also important to me is the wide angle lens. This is the widest of the less expensive action cameras. They boast 170 degrees, not sure if thats correct because if it was 180 degree Id be able to see things that are at 90 degrees of the camera and I cant. As it is I can almost see the windshield pillars so Im sure its close to 170 and if nothing else I can say its getting everything in front of me and at a 45-degree angle from that. The FOV (field of view) can be changed if you dont like the distortion. I wish it where designed so you could get to the card without having to unplug the power cord (I have it running on a 12v lighter outlet). I use it on 12v so it starts automatically when I start my car, I never really have to think about it, just look up once in awhile to make sure the power cord hasnt backed out from the lighter socket. Theres not much Id change about it, maybe some date options, Id like it to show the day of the week. The USB port has been the only weak spot. Ive had 2 fail on me because I regularly plug/unplug power to get to the SD card. Ive always bought a SquareTrade warranty and they have covered the repair. I suppose I should mention the battery cover also, sort of hard to remove because of the small size of the button holding it in but Ive been able to make it work. I have big fingers. I think it could be easily redesigned to be more user-friendly. I notice they have stopped supplying the open air case that has a tripod mount screw in it. Regards, Every Serious FPS Player Thankfully due to the size, its fairly easy to avoid, and it has a lot of positives. The rubberized hexagonal patterned base grips the desk well, so it didnt slide around. The surface is somewhere in between a Goliathus Speed and Control, but feels smooth like a Speed, which is something Ive really wanted to try lately (and so far its great). The size is awesome, if you have the desk space. Smooth, soft stitched edges, no irritation on my skin. And most optical sensors track as well as they can on it (laser sensors, not so much). You can get a plain black version from Razer, but otherwise the logo is green - which is a negative in my opinion. "Hi, were going to Chroma everything, now let us dictate the color scheme by putting green on the pad". Not a big deal, but... thats two rookie mistakes. The mouse pad I had before this one had a plastic top and when I upgraded to a gaming mouse I realized that mouse control was more of an exact science than I had originally thought. The fabric top offered more precise control of the mouse, and sometimes centimeters count in gaming. As mouse pads go, I would say that the primary factor to consider is a fabric top vice a plastic top. I bought the Razer mouse pad for the brand status, but I would say that any fabric mouse pad will do. Perhaps the only other factor to consider would be size. I havent seen the need for a larger mousepad, but if that is important to others, there are larger versions available. The LE of Guilty Gear Xrd comes with: Special Art slip cover (same as pictured,) custom case in the shape of "The Backyard" book from the game, artbook called the codex which is slightly larger than a PS3 game case, a vocal OST of 10 songs, the game, and a key chain in the shape of main character Sols belt buckle that says "FREE." The artbook called codex also has detailed entries for every relevant character in the Guilty Gear franchise as well as some extra artwork and fun facts. Give lots of background on the franchise outside the game and has quality art inside as well. The box it comes in is shaped like a hollowed out book and looks great on display, same with the slip cover on or off. The game itself is great. Several offline modes such as combo and game mechanic challenges. A character upgrade mode called M.O.M. (also can be played online), and a host of online options mainly player and ranked matches but with a host of lobbies and features. A gallery where you can unlock the character Sin for free, as well as music from past games that can be selected in matches, artwork, and various things to customize your online profile. Story mode is basically a long series of cutscenes and dialogue but is animated and presented extremely well and can be paused/saved at any point. Length is about the size of the average anime season. Arcade acts as an opening for each characters motivations for story mode. Largest positive, cross play with PS4 and PS3! Played about 3 hours straight with a friend in Montreal Canada, while I live in Georgia USA and had 3F lag as indicated by the game. Btw the game shows your moment to moment lag! when online. This is all crossed play while he was on PS4 and Im on 3. Only down side is the graphical jealousy you will have when you see the PS4 version. It is simply a cleaner presentation than the PS3 obviously and no effect on the actual game. The cutaways for supers and quality of character models in opening/ending/story modes are more closely represented to the PS4 models, than the ingame PS3 models which are still amazing, but its a noticeable difference. That said the game runs the same on both a smooth 60fps with no slowdowns. Lots of content to playthrough if you like the actual fighting portion of fighting games! Its a love letter to Guilty Gear fans. The game, its more of the same at first but as you dig youll see a few differences. MOM mode is different from past iterations, Survival mode is gone all together. There is new music, and while everyone plays the same as they have there are a few new tricks to keep you coming back. The game relies heavily on multiplayer with you having to select a region to play in and join a user created team (or create one) from the get go. Ideally this is great, as you can theoretically be going to battle in Mech style gang wars with people in your local region, all with your own heavily customized war machine. The problem is, there are nowhere near enough people playing this game for that the be successful. I am sure this game is thriving in Japan, but most of the US console market is invested in games like the COD series, etc... to humor this one. If they didnt region lock the multiplayer and fixed the matchmaking and menus, this might be more enjoyable. Theres not much fun in an endless string of "Destroy all AI enemies" maps. The level of customization in this game is awesome though. You really do get to have a sense of ownership when you create your own AC and bring it to the battlefield, though the menus are pretty boring to navigate through. Other than the feeling of ownership you get from making your own AC, theres a TON to be desired. Very outdated graphics(too much brown), a terrible campaign mode with a convoluted story and cheesy dialog, and a broken multiplayer mode. The only reason I am giving this 3 stars, and not less, is that I didnt play it when the game was brand new so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt that there were way more people playing when it was first released. I can see the potential level of fun playing with and against other human players. As of today though, finding anyone in the multiplayer mode is like navigating through the desert in search of shade and water. So if you buy now, you will most likely have to suffer through just playing against super boring AI opponents. Following in the footsteps of Armored Core 4 and Armored Core: For Answer, this game makes significant improvements on the games engine and base mechanics. That said, this game greatly assumes that you have played previous Armored Core games. The in-game tutorial is short and will not adequately equip you for some of the harder missions, and certainly not for Player-versus-Player combat. The finest parts of the game must be learned through experience, from other players, or through faqs, walkthroughs, and the like. For those who havent played previous Armored Cored games please read this section: This is a fast-paced mech game where you will have an assortment of armaments at your disposal to take down a variety of enemies. You will have everything from handguns, rifles, gatling guns, several energy weapons, and the famous blades and laser blades. Your enemies will be anything from helicopters to other armored cores. The Story and Order Missions will take you through the main story and side missions, but the main draw is playing against other players. A new feature to this games is the ability to form a Team. Your team will acrew points from your completed missions and battles, unlocking new parts. Your team can also stake your claim on a territory in any of the eight areas of the game. This feature allows you to have allies that will greatly help your chances when facing other players online. Lastly, you can also sign-up to be a mercenary, allowing yourself to be drafted into another players Story or Order mission. This helps spice things up a bit. Overall, you have yourself a difficult game that will surely leave you tweaking your Armored Core for days, weeks, and months to come. I havent played multiplayer so I cant speak for that. Ive been playing the AC series for years too and this is kind of a new level of boring. The AC construction gets boring really fast, you unlock more parts as you go through the story but those parts are more or less old parts with different skins and stats. Not like in previous AC titles where you unlock some fun looking laser rifles and awesome shoulder mounted grenade launchers. Painting/customizing is better though with more detailed paint jobs. Combat has improved with a change in the controls. Now when a weapon is empty you can swap it out with another you have stored on yourself. There is now a sort of rack/paper/scissors element to combat with weapons and armor being three different types: Kinetic, chemical, and energy. This kinda makes some enemies annoying as they can be resistant to your primary weapons forcing you to use more ammo on them. A fan of the series may want to try this, personally Im kinda turned off by it but will probably pick it up again later when the urge strikes. Unfortunately we probably got a unit from the first production run, so there are many issues that still need to be sorted out before you should buy this. So far I havent been able to print anything other than a 1" tall sample part. Here are some of the problems: 1) Filament sometimes gets stuck during removal. Makerbot suggests using pliers to pull out filament, but doing this yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart, which is apparently bad for it. Had to disassemble my Smart Extruder to remove the filament plug that had formed inside. 2) Calibration seems broken. The nozzle scrapes along the build plate even after multiple rounds of leveling and calibration. 3) Filament jams repeatedly. Was unable to actually print after the initial test part. Likely due to the calibration issue described above. Fails about 15-20 seconds into print. Resuming or restarting the print does not help. 4) Slow firmware. Takes a very long time to boot up, to upgrade firmware (15 minutes), to calibrate, to start printing, etc. If youve used any other Makerbot product youll be pretty disappointed by this. 5) Poorly designed filament guide. The Z18 uses a long flexible plastic straw as a guide, and it kind of floats near the print head. It occasionally gets caught or kinked against the lid, which yanks the Smart Extruder off the cart. Unlike the Replicator 2, for example, the straw does not fit into the print head. It just dangles. Observations based on firmware 1.2.0.112. Update: Makerbot sent out a new Smart Extruder via overnight mail. Now it will start extruding without immediately jamming, but I still cant print. Nothing seems to stick to the base plate, so when I come back after 30 minutes to check on things, theres usually a huge glob of molten filament around the extruder tip and a birds nest of extruded filament scattered around the build plate. They finally released a better smart extruder, which you have to pay for. The amount of time spent on getting a good print is far too high - I could send out files to print for cheaper. PREVIOUS: For the cost, this printer should be far beyond its experimental phase and should be a consumer-ready device -- not something one has to spend hours toying with in order to get it working. The 1st printer we received had multiple issues and errors -- A) The printer could not detect that the door was closed. B) The ribbon cables inside the machine were not fully seated. C) The "smart" extruder was not being detected. D) Once printing, prints could not stick to the print bed without using a raft (Im still testing options to correct this). E) The updated firmware does not work (causing a "carriage disconnected" issue, and then an error in which the printer couldnt detect the smart extruder) User support (I have a MakerCare Plan) has to be the worst support I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I was on the phone that first evening for over an hour just waiting for a human to answer. I had submitted a case ticket as well, with no reply. I finally reached a human the next morning and he was completely clueless and unhelpful -- all he could do was request the printers diagnostic logs so an expert could review them and get back to me (I emailed the logs to him, with no reply of receipt, and no answer to correct the printers issues -- it has been 2 weeks!!!). I found a user group on Google for Makerbot Owners and found more support and answers there than Makerbots User Support or website. I reseated the interior cables, factory reset the printer, and rolled back firmware (seemed to solve most of the issues with the smart extruder and carriage being detected). I then printed a couple test models that come on the printers storage and a model of my own. There were a few hiccups, but the prints turned out fairly well (hence the rating above 1*). I havent solved the issue of successfully printing without a raft yet, but the model I created and printed turned out quite well (except it could have used some supports, which I didnt check ON). Other CONs: The spool should have a simple hinged piece to keep pressure on the filament, so it cannot unravel (seems like it would be simple to implement). The electronic noises the printer makes are annoying (not the mechanical noises). The bright lights inside the printer dont turn off (Im not sure if they can be turned off) The web cam is not very useful Final Comments: We sent the printer back and got a new one -- got error code 13 and 1500 on the new printer. I reseated the cables, which fixed both errors. I am printing now, and it seems to be working fine now. Hopefully I can work with the printer to get the best results, but this printer is definitely not ready for regular consumers. Audio quality is clear, and it is the most comfortable headset that Ive ever owned. The ear cups do a good job of canceling noise out as well. The microphone works great also, however a plastic piece broke off of it, leaving an exposed wire and a shaky, unstable mic. Take a look at the attached picture if you want to see exactly what Im talking about. I have contacted Kingston customer service asking them to replace the mic since this headset comes with a 2 year warranty and am currently waiting to hear back from them. I will update my review, and depending on how they handle this issue change my rating to either 1 or 5 stars. Update: Kingston replaced the mic for free under warranty. They sent it with 2 day shipping and didnt even require me to send the broken part back. The design is sleek and it is WELL made. Most headsets nowadays come with leatherette ear cups and I CANT STAND IT. So I was happy to see the HyperX Cloud had replaceable Velour Ear Cushions. (the cloth ones) That was a huge plus for me. The soft leather band on the headset makes your skull feel like you are in HEAVEN. Too many headset makers dont care much for the pressure a headset puts on your noggin. HyperX does. I have had these 2 months prior to the recent release and not one sign of wear, and trust me I have a HUGE head. Now for sound. 53MM Drivers. This is better then most out there. And it is obvious in the sound. I play World of Warcraft and other MMOs, and let me tell you the sounds I can now hear that I couldnt before. The sound is so much clearer you wonder how the hell you tolerated your previous headset. The Aluminum build gives the Cloud a great shape and shows that HyperX cares about the longevity of their products. If you want comfort and quality sound this is your headset. And at $99? Yeah its worth it. I wanted to have the stereo version since my creative fatal1ty is now 2 yrs old. Just felt like having an update. Using the 3.5mm jacks for headphones and microphone i was able to utilize my onboard asus sound card with crystal sound 2.0 same as the creative, but sure its stereo - however when configured right you can pinpoint location pretty well. The HyperX Cloud is just as comfy as the Cloud II. Great build quality i feel with them. Love the white and black color - its looks clean and crisp and now also matches my new rig which is an artic white corsair 760t. Sound - it is a step up to the creative - good lows, mids n highs and good base. in games it is not too boomy or bassy but has just the right amount for the explosions in a game like battlefield 4 - but does not hinder you from pinpointing sound. I love it so far - just wore it for 8+ hrs straight gaming and didnt have a problem. If Kingston reads this review - please see the review i put in for the HyperX Cloud II and why i gave it a 2 stars. all the info is there. If you can make a Kingston HyperX Cloud III based on the constructive criticism i have for the Cloud II and have it to where you have the best of both worlds of the Original and the II esp in white or pink, i will definitely buy those when they drop. The sound quality is excellent, seems to be well made, (although I havent owned it for very long yet) and I have no problems with the microphone quality. I was pleasantly surprised at how many adapters HyperX included without additional cost. It came with multiple AUX extender cables (the ones with a mic and speaker jack) plus a 2-to-1 standard AUX adapter. One of the extender cables included a nice volume adjustment box. They even included a replacement pair of earphone pads, which were a soft cloth material. The ones that come on the headset are a leather-like material, so I guess HyperX wanted us to have the option. They also included a travel case for the headset. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Sound - it is a step up to the creative - good lows, mids n highs and good base. in games it is not too boomy or bassy but has just the right amount for the explosions in a game like battlefield 4 - but does not hinder you from pinpointing sound. I love it so far - just wore it for 8+ hrs straight gaming and didnt have a problem. If Kingston reads this review - please see the review i put in for the HyperX Cloud II and why i gave it a 2 stars. all the info is there. If you can make a Kingston HyperX Cloud III based on the constructive criticism i have for the Cloud II and have it to where you have the best of both worlds of the Original and the II esp in white or pink, i will definitely buy those when they drop. The sound quality is excellent, seems to be well made, (although I havent owned it for very long yet) and I have no problems with the microphone quality. I was pleasantly surprised at how many adapters HyperX included without additional cost. It came with multiple AUX extender cables (the ones with a mic and speaker jack) plus a 2-to-1 standard AUX adapter. One of the extender cables included a nice volume adjustment box. They even included a replacement pair of earphone pads, which were a soft cloth material. The ones that come on the headset are a leather-like material, so I guess HyperX wanted us to have the option. They also included a travel case for the headset. Would definitely recommend to a friend. There were no reviews when I ordered it. But I was looking for a case that opened like a book (as opposed to the flip over lid). And I wanted one that would allow the kindle to stand up on its own because sometimes I just dont want to hold it. This case does all that just fine. The kindle snaps into the case easily. Its just a press fit (i.e. friction) - no clips or other mechanism to hold it in. It takes a little effort to remove the kindle from the case but it can be done. I do not anticipate removing it so Im not bothered by that. As with all cases, it does add some bulk but not very much. The texture on the case actually makes it a bit less slippery than the naked device, which is a good thing. The kindle is protected on all sides (and all 4 corners) which makes me very happy since Ive been known to drop it on a tile floor. The cover can wrap all the way around to the back so its not left flapping. It can also be held open with your left hand (to block the view of that nosy person next to you on the plane who keeps looking at what you are reading). Since the cover is origami style, it isnt completely rigid so it will sometimes start folding itself. Note, since the kindle can only be put into the case one way in order for the power button and charging port to line up correctly, the cover will only open to the left - just like a regular book cover does. The origami fold is what holds the kindle upright when you want to put it on a table. It works fine. There is only one "angle" available. No adjustments. It will hold the kindle upright in both portrait and landscape orientation. No instructions were provided. Every time I fold the cover I do it backwards. But there are only 2 choices. So if it doesnt stay upright, fold it the other way. Its not hard. I felt comfortable enough to toss it into my backpack while traveling but Im also careful not to let sharp heavy objects press on the front. Im very happy with my purchase. I tend to buy very nice, sturdy cases. I am very careful with all my electronic devices (you could safely say I baby them), however, I have always been a bit of a klutz, and I believe in "better safe than sorry". I usually buy Otterbox cases (I also like Lifeproof and Seidio). I have an Otterbox Defender on my Paperwhite, and both my Kindle Fires (HD and HDX), and the official Amazon leather case (with LED light) on my Kindle 4. My husband bought me a Kindle Voyage for Christmas. He knows that with this, Id buy a nice case. So I looked for an Otterbox case. Nope. Otterbox doesnt make one for the Voyage (and even months after the Voyages release, they STILL dont, which surprises me since the Voyage is a premium eReader, and even more pricey than the Paperwhite). Hmmm.... So I looked for ANY rugged case for the Voyage. To my dismay, there really werent any, and the case selection in general for the Voyage was very limited. The first case I bought was a Fintie. Not bad, but it left the edges of the Voyage too exposed. I could just see myself dropping my pretty little Voyage down the stairs (or anywhere else for that matter), with those edges getting whacked. No way. So I did a little research and bought an Omoton (the smart shell one). I was somewhat happy with that one for awhile (most all of the edges of the Voyage were covered), and there were some things I liked about it, but the case had a cardboard feel to it, so I continued looking. I bought a Supcase, which was nice, but since it had no cover, I was concerned about the screen getting scratched. I bought a screen protector, but I still wasnt happy with the protection with the Supcase, so I kept looking. I then found a padded leather like Omoton that was pretty nice, but after reading for extended periods of time the case became uncomfortable and awkward, as although the cover folded back, it would slide around (yes, Im picky). Honestly, I have never purchased so many cases in my life for a device, but I just couldnt find one that I was happy with, until now. A few days later I came across this MoKo case. It seemed to have the features I was looking for...a sturdy frame covering almost all of the edges of the Voyage, a fabric that felt comfortable and not cheap, a cover that was magnetic not only when opening and closing the top, but also magnetic when you fold it back (which meant it didnt slip around), a compact size, comfortable to read with one hand (and I have tiny hands), and a button cover that actually worked very well. Ive now had this MoKo case for a little over a week and have read 3 or 4 books since I started using it. It is light and easy to hold. Beyond protection, the main thing I was looking for was a way to set my Kindle upright on the table in front of me. I find myself frequently eating alone in restaurants or at home and I tend to read while I eat. So, the qualities I want most are (1) stability and (2) upright angle. For these reasons, this product gets 4/5 stars. Because the Kindle has to be far enough away so that its not in my plate, it needs to be a little more upright than this case makes it. Not bad, but not ideal. Also, as some others have complained about, the design of the case is to make it upright. But because the hinge is on the vertical and not in the middle, it had a tendency to lean right. Bumped a little and it has a tendency to topple over. It hasnt actually happened yet, so it is more anxiety over the prospect than actual calamity that Im whining about. Maybe two years from now Ill say, "Wow, the problem I thought I had never happened." Well see. The other supposed eventuality Im expecting is that the hinge will get looser over time and not hold up so well. Again, anticipation and not actual experience...yet. Keep in mind, I recognize my misgivings as that and not actual faults. I hope you count 4 of 5 stars ratings like I do. I make buying decisions based on 4 and 5 star reviews. If at least 80% of the reviews are in the 4 and 5 star range, I tend to feel pretty confident. (Sorry for the extra commentary about ratings rather than the product itself.) I would buy this product again at the price I paid for it. The instructions call for downloading the controller software, but that is for Windows only (once you find it on the site) and I have a Mac. I downloaded some Mac software but it kept quitting unexpectedly. At one point I was convinced that I needed to buy additional controller hardware. After I started downloading a Windows VM image so that I could then download the controller software, another reviewer (thank you) pointed out that the controller software only discovers the IP address and all configuration is done through the web at the access point IP address. That grossly simplified things for me. I queried my DHCP server for the devices IP address (the only TP-Link device in the list of clients), logged in using the default credentials (which required searching the web), and I was off to the races. Once I realized that the instructions created more problems than solutions, all was well. This is a 5-star product if they would exclude the configuration instructions. I am docking it one star for the misleading instructions. My existing router/AP is on one side of a large house, creating dead zones on the other floors at the opposite end of the house. I installed this AP on the side of a bookshelf in my home office at the opposite end of the house, and now my home is flooded with 2.4GHz and 5GHz of WiFi goodness. In fact, my cell phone prefers this signal over the (already very good) existing router/AP signal in every room except where the existing router/AP is located. If you have dead zones where an ethernet port is located, buy this, plug it in, mount it, then throw away the instructions. You will be happy with the purchase. Log into your router and view network devices (or dhcp history) to find its IP, then connect to that ip in your browser. The AP uses dhcp by default, so you should be able to find its address easily. After connecting to the web UI, it will ask for a password (default was admin:admin I think). I bought this for residential use, to extend wifi to the back rooms of the house. Dissapointed with residential routers and extenders by Netgear and Asus that would drop out or crash periodically, I turned to this. I already had ethernet run through the closets and walls, so this was a good fit, as I could just punch through the wall to mount it up high, and power it with POE. I just had to buy a gigabit poe injector along with this unit, as my router is not gigabit POE.  iCreatin 48V35W Gigabit Power over Ethernet POE Injector Adapter Power supply,1000Mbps IEEE 802.3af/at Compliant, Up to 100 Meters (328 Feet) This product supports ceiling rail mounting (commercial buildings), ceiling tile mounting (also commercial), and keyhole ceiling/wall mounting. The hardware for all options is provided, though the screws for wall mounting are a little too short to go through drywall into a stud, and the drywall anchors are the bad hex type that do not expand and can push too far into the wall. A 12v quality power supply is provided as well, if you do not intend to use POE. No ethernet cable is provided. Performance and compatability on various channels is very good. Range is excellent. This is a commercial grade product. It supports 99 wireless clients. It does not need to be restarted or fooled with once set up, as it is designed for 24/7 load. The web interface is clean and simple to allow managing the AP. You do not need to use their EAP software. SSH is supported as well. The unit does not do routing, NAT, etc. Use a router/gateway for that. VLAN and management VLAN is supported. Portal is also suppoted, which allows you to give tokens out to users for temporary access (like giving patrons in a restaraunt wifi for 1 hour). You can disable the front LED status light (default green when on). The ethernet port does not flash. 2.4 and 5 gig bands have excellent range when mounted up high. Devices with line of sight get 800+ mbps connections over AC. Dumb devices (pcs, phones, android TV) that have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz will be automatically connected to the 5ghz band if signal strength is good, which is a nice feature to clean up wifi congestion. Been using this for some months without issue, so I purchased a second, to replace an existing ap and extend coverage. They never bog down or need to be restarted. I have worked with many of the higher end APs (I used to be a wireless engineer & RF designer), and this unit blew my socks off on how well it worked and the features vs. cost. (One note - if you are using this with a VPN, you may need to lower frame sizes at your router. If your VPN crashes your DSL, you will need to look at that. I had that issue and reduced frame size at the router and fixed it). This unit can do everything from SNMP, VLANs, fencing (guest networks), multi-band (I use both, and they work fine), full MAC filtering and ACLs, and it even has management software! It can do variable channel width, auto channel, adjustable Tx power, and can load balance with other TP-Link APs to make sure 1 AP does not have too many clients on it. It can also perform QoS traffic prioritization and rogue AP detection. My only negative is that the connections are on the outside of the unit, so you may not want to have it where someone can mess with it (like kids in schools, etc). It even has ceiling grid mounting, so I would not hesitate to deploy this at a small office. Performance has been very good, and it just runs and runs. Never need to reboot it or anything. Get the PoE injector to mount it anywhere. In my opinion, this unit really comes close to matching up with units costing many times more than this one.
