With the help of Google and YouTube I was able to build my Pi exactly the way I wanted and am very happy with the results. I run Retropie Raspbian and Kodi on a triple boot build and cant be more pleased. I was in the market to buy the mini classic Nintendo to relive some old fun, but wasnt willing to pay the exorbitant price for minimal use. I wanted to be able to play all the old games and any time I wanted. In addition to this I wanted to get into this Kodi craze and take full advantage of the internet. After some painstaking research I found the solution to all my desires would be a Raspberry Pi. As I said early, I decided to build it myself and it came with its challenges, but I did succeed in the end. The onboard Wifi works very well and the processing speed meets all my needs without overheating. I did buy a case with heatsinks, so this may have helped. One thing I would recommend is not buying the preloaded NOOBS micro SD card. It is a waste of money since you can just download NOOBS to your own card. This is still by far the best micro computer you can buy. all the common outputs, wifi. plenty of i/o, ample horsepower and expandable storage. When im putting together projects this is usually my go to. This little board can multitask and host a full os. So a I can build out a full web interface and serve it right off this device. There are so many resources online for this from beginner to advanced, or you could just load raspbian, plug in a wireless mouse and keyboard and slap it behind your tv as a mini computer. I often find myself using this in conjunction with an arduino or multiple arduinos for that matter. I also bought an enclosure with heatsinks, power supply with switch, and a cooling fan on Amazon, and I bought 2 snes style usb controllers. Everything was easy to setup. I have the rpi overclocked following some easy instructions I found online, and everything runs well with acceptable temperatures. I have a rpi 2 also. I love these little computers. I saw how easily it worked for him, and how accurately he could write or draw with it, and was excited to get one for myself. When the mini arrived, however, I was a little disappointed with its performance. It was not as responsive as it seemed with my friend. I had to jab into my iPad pretty hard to make it work. I was also VERY disappointed that the Jot Mini wasnt made of a metal that clings to the magnets in my cover. One day, during a chorus rehearsal, my friend saw me struggling and asked if he could try my mini, as he had the Jot Pro. He struggled to make it work, too, and let me borrow his pro for the evening. I was AMAZED at the difference. The Pro is much more responsive than the mini. The plastic tip is designed to conduct better than the minis tip, and the tips are not interchangeable due to the size difference. The Pro even has magnets in it, so it clings to my iPad cover better than a simple piece of metal. Spend the extra $10. Get the pro. This stylus doesnt scratch gorilla glass, but it will scratch screen protectors. This WILL break (quit working). Adonits warranty... isnt. You will have to fix it yourself or return it to Amazon. Go ahead and buy a replacement disc (they sell them on here) and a tube of Arctic Silver thermal conductive grease now to save yourself some aggravation and shipping. When the jot stops working in a week or a month, put a TINY bit of grease in the disc socket, and it will work again for a while. When a combination of cleaning and regressing wont work anymore, use a replacement disc and start the process over again. So why buy a Jot when it is an unreliable, frustrating thing? The original jot, the jot pro, the jot pro second generation, the jot touch, and the jot script…and now the jot mini. Except for the script, that just doesnt work consistently, the others all work very well as a precision stylus. There are still two things that absolutely aggravate me about Adonits products. First: Adonit needs to learn how to make screw-caps that stay put. Their screw caps—not one of them—locks down and stays put. They all get loose, come off, end up in a pocket, in the washing machine, on the floor, or just lost. This is serious because if you lose the cap, youll snag the tip-disc and flick it off and soon you have nothing. On the generally not-working Script, the lose cap causes the battery contact to be intermittent and if you lose it, your stylus is just dead. It has no useful unpowered mode. Second: Adonit needs to figure out pocket clips! Very few of their products come with any means of securing the stylus in your pocket. In the case of the Script, that means you can easily lose an $80 stylus which maybe isnt so bad since, in my experience, the Script didnt end up working anyway;-) Seriously, Adonit makes a cap with a pocket clip, and though the threads fit most of their regular sized styli, the barrels on those are wider than the cap which makes them tricky to screw on. And the Jot Mini… seriously… the clip has a very cool looking design, but the opening is too big to stay secure in most shirts, so it flops around, comes loose, ends up in the bottom of the pocket or lost. Adonit has done one thing very well (except for the Script): theyve made styli that are great to write, highlight and draw with, though the disc tip mechanism is potentially fragile, Sadly, that very finely executed feature is not very well protected since the caps dont stay on tight and the pocket clips are non-existent or too cool to work well. First, I need to mention I think the price for the pro is way too high. Ive always thought the precision of the Adonit stylus would be ideal for me. I like having a stylus to utilize as part of my workflow, but refused to pay what Adonit charges for the Jot Pro. Im glad they came out with the mini, which is basically a Jot Pro for all intents and purposes, but with a shorter body and a reasonable price. This makes me wonder how they come up with their prices, is a longer body worth twice the cost? Anyhow, this stylus was a nightmare. That little disc falls off with the slightest provocation. Then you have to find it. Good luck with that! It was literally like looking for a needle in a haystack. Just imagine trying to find a quarter inch piece of glass at night, in carpet, or in the cushions of a couch. It can be done, but with each painstaking sweep of your furniture, work space, clothes, books etc. your patience will be tested. Luckily, for the price of a whole new stylus you can buy yourself a pack of three of these wonderful discs. What they should have done was added threads to the disc and tip of the stylus so that the disc could be screwed onto the stylus more securely and not pop off because you breathed hard. Literally, I would have to hunt for the little glass needle in a haystack three or four times a day. Finally, before even a week of use,while I was in the middle of studying, the stylus quit. One second it was writing fine, the next it was not writing at all. I was not sad. I was relieved, because I could return it as defective and rid myself of the nuisance, which is what I did. I have already installed about 15 or so of these brackets, and have decided I like them better than the Sabrent dual SSD brackets. I have installed over 50 of the Sabrent brackets before I discovered these. These are easier to use for the most part. Also, these put the connectors in about the same location as a regular hard drive, so it fits more brackets (such as those blue plastic ones Dell uses). The ONLY thing that drives me nuts about these brackets is how they package the screws. It comes with 3 sets of 4 screws, each in their own little bag, which is TIGHTLY rolled up and then TAPED shut. It is really challenging to get the screws out without cutting yourself. I have written to Corsair to try to get them to change this, since I will probably be installing hundreds of these things. These brackets are good, but some of the edges are kinda sharp. Of course, if you work on computers a lot you realize there are a lot of sharp things inside a computer case. But for you novices out there, just be careful when you handle these. Bottom line: I prefer these over the Sabrents because of where they position the SSD connectors, and because it is easier to install a SSD in them. They feature an all aluminum construction, making the adapter practically featherlight. I bought three of these recently to install in a MicroATX PC case I also recently purchased (Raijintek Styx). My case usually supports either one of two configurations: 1) 3x 3.5” HDDs + 2x 2.5” HDDs 2) 1x 3.5” HDDs + 4x 2.5” HDDs With three of these adapters, I can install EIGHT 2.5” HDDs... LOL! If you are not a case modder (and/or if you are afraid of breaking your stuff) just take my word for it— read no further. This is the adapter you want. If you ARE a case modder (and/or if you are not afraid of potentially breaking your stuff), then I have a pro tip for you: if you break the 2.5” HDD guide tabs off with a pair of pliers, it’s possible to install a 15mm tall 2.5” HDD (example: any 4TB 2.5” HDD currently on the market) IN ADDITION TO a standard height 2.5” HDD. If you succeed in breaking the tabs off cleanly, you will want to mount your 15mm tall drive in the bottom slot. While you’re aligning the drive with the screw holes, screw the screws in loosely, then gently push down on the drive and tighten the screws. Then, grab your standard height drive and align it with the screw holes on the top slot. Do the same as last time, except THIS time you will want to pull UP on the drive as you tighten the screws. If you did everything right, you will have a decent amount of space between the two drives and they should NOT be making any contact with each other. It may be possible to put TWO 15mm tall 2.5” drives in one adapter, but it may be too tall for in your 3.5” bay. However I have not tested this (...yet). Nicely finished. No sharp edges. Cool Corsair logo. Potential Cons: I really only have two: 1) The screws provided have a shallow cut Phillips screw head. None of the precision screwdrivers I own would unscrew these screws well. I had to use a pair of pliers to unscrew the screws from the drive after a screw fitting test. Very odd--never had this happen before--I have a comprehensive set of screwdrivers and none fit well. I ended up replacing them with standard SSD mounting screws, which had no problems. Tip: Its helpful to have a pair of long tweezers or a Kelly clamp handy if you want to mount an SSD in the lower slot to hold the screw steady when attaching the drive. 2) The mount does not fit exactly in the Thermaltake Armor MX screwless drive enclosures (which you need in order to fit the drives in the drive cage). I had to get a pair of tin snips to cut off about 2 to 3 mm off of the front corner of the mounting bracket to get the screw holes to line up. Im not blaming either Corsair nor Thermaltake for this--just noting it in case someone else wishes to use this mount with that particular case. In summary, great mounting bracket that will suit the vast majority of folks. Im only taking a half a star off for the odd screws. (It is possible that I got a bad set.) In any event, easily rectified and I would purchase this mount again. I know theyre theyre, but theyre very light weight and so comfortable that they almost feel like theyre not there. Not quite 5 stars because of the audio quality, but having had a pair of the ATH M50 monitor headphones in a little spoiled as far as quality goes, but hey I paid $10, and theyre earbuds. Theyre leaps and bounds above any of the garbage skullcandy buds. The menus have that splashy, hyper-attract mode like youd find with an actual full sized music/rhythm arcade cabinet from Japan. The selection of music tracks is pretty wide: j-pop, metal, hip-hop, house, RnB, etc. The problem I have with Superbeat Xonic is that the difficulty spike comes quick and its severe. After an hour I began play medium difficulty, 4 trax songs...and I just couldnt keep up. Even on the lowest difficulty setting, it quickly became nigh-impossible to simply enjoy the music. The best way to know if this game is right for you is by looking up videos of different songs of the game on Youtube. If you think it looks too hard, dont worry. The game gets you up to speed with a tutorial and the lowest difficulty setting is manageable by most players. Although I gave the game five stars and fully recommend it, I do have some minor gripes that keep me from 100% enjoying the game. The biggest is the color-coding of the notes. In 4 trax this isnt an issue since the top notes are blue and the bottom green, but in 6 trax the top and bottom row are both green, leading to some confusion when doing extended combos involving lane switching. To keep things simple, I would like an option to change the colors of the different notes, much like in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX. My only other complaint is that songs dont have a retry option after youve completed them. This isnt a major issue, but it would making redoing a song over and over again a bit less of a chore. Anyway, please dont let these criticisms dissuade you from purchasing Superbeat Xonic. Its still an excellent rhythm game and what I would consider the absolute best on Switch at the moment. Casual and hardcore players alike will find a lot to love here, so dont pass this game up if youre itching for some rhythm action. Por Jack em 29 de novembro de 2011 - Publicada na Amazon.com Compra verificada Ill start this review off by saying that I have only played one other game in the Super Monkey Ball series (Game Boy Advance version), so I do not have extensive knowledge of the series. This game comes in traditional packaging for the 3DS, and has a small pamphlet showing how things work and introducing characters of the Super Monkey Ball series. As for the game in the 3DS, the splash screen is not the traditional 3D revolving logo, but a image that jumps up and down. The game is very easy to get, but relatively hard to master. The characters have no distinct differences in gameplay, so any one you choose will work the same as the others. You go through simple levels while getting bananas to reach a goal. The games level designs are very simple, ranging from basic lines to intricate designs that make you think. The game doesnt ever get very difficult, though, so there was a lack of intricacy somewhere in the designs. Theres bumpers around the edges of the levels, so youre not going to die easily (if at all). This is probably the most annoying thing about the game- you almost never die, so theres no point in collecting the bananas in the stage (30 get you a life). Compared to my experience with the Game Boy Advance version, this game seems like it was designed for the 10-and-under crowd. The motion sensor is very boring, actually, and is nowhere near as precise as the joystick imput. I got this game on sale for $10 here on Amazon, so Im not going to complain too much. I bought his because I had the basic ones that kept peeling up with the rubber case I had on my watch so I decided to try this one. After you put it on it doesn’t stick flat across the whole screen. You can see that the edge has a rind around it that is not quite sitting flat on the screen. In addition to that it doesn’t extend the the edge of the screen. There is room all the way around. While I don’t have the problem of it peeling up it doesn’t look very good. One positive is that it feels very strong and will most definitely protect against scratches and banging it into things. Probably would buy a different brand of the same type If I decided to try another one. When putting my hair in a pony tail a hair got stuck under the screen, and when I pulled it away the screen protector cracked. I would like a refund. Read the reviews of all the various wireless Flashback versions over the years and youll see the same complaint: The controllers lag, require line-of-sight with the console and will drive you crazy! So try to find a wired Flashback console. Or buy this wireless one and connect wired controllers to it. All versions of the Flashback have wired controller ports. I have the Flashback 5 with two wired controllers and it works great, pretty much like an original Atari 2600 from back in the day. Sure the Flashback 6 and 7 add a few more games, but otherwise they are the same as the other Flashback versions that have come out over the last few years. Id rather have a few less games and good controllers! Pros –A pleasant, nostalgic trip down Atari memory lane –Has many of the all time greats: Asteroids, Space Invaders, Centipede, Frogger, Missile Command –Console is more compact than original and uses buttons instead of levers. –Two Wireless joysticks, one with Start and Select buttons for convenient play Cons –Documentation too scant: hard to figure out how to play some games –Joystick control is coarse: hard to control in games like Pong –The video seems to me to be even cruder than the original Atari 2600 –Can’t update or add games. There isn’t a socket for original game cartridges. –Easy for fingers to block IR emitter on joystick, causing loss of control Some Things You Should Know –The console’s output is composite video, that is, the console has a hard wired yellow video plug and white audio plug. Computer monitors don’t usually have these inputs, but most TVs still do. –There are sockets on the console to handle wired joysticks and paddles, so you can use original Atari or Commodore controllers if you have them. (I tried an original Atari joystick, and its response was no better than the wireless sticks included.) –I couldn’t get some games, like Blackjack, to work. I looked on Wikipedia to find that this game was originally a paddle game. That may be the problem since I didn’t have a paddle. This may also explain the problem with Pong. –I tried to use an original Atari trackball, and it didn’t work, except for the fire button. The trackball has joystick and trackball settings: neither setting worked. That’s it. A few great games to bring back the olden times, but nothing astonishing. If you can play Centipede and Asteroids for hours on end, this is for you. Read the reviews of all the various wireless Flashback versions over the years and youll see the same complaint: The controllers lag, require line-of-sight with the console and will drive you crazy! So try to find a wired Flashback console. Or buy this wireless one and connect wired controllers to it. All versions of the Flashback have wired controller ports. I have the Flashback 5 with two wired controllers and it works great, pretty much like an original Atari 2600 from back in the day. Sure the Flashback 6 and 7 add a few more games, but otherwise they are the same as the other Flashback versions that have come out over the last few years. Pros –A pleasant, nostalgic trip down Atari memory lane –Has many of the all time greats: Asteroids, Space Invaders, Centipede, Frogger, Missile Command –Console is more compact than original and uses buttons instead of levers. –Two Wireless joysticks, one with Start and Select buttons for convenient play Cons –Documentation too scant: hard to figure out how to play some games –Joystick control is coarse: hard to control in games like Pong –The video seems to me to be even cruder than the original Atari 2600 –Can’t update or add games. There isn’t a socket for original game cartridges. –Easy for fingers to block IR emitter on joystick, causing loss of control Some Things You Should Know –The console’s output is composite video, that is, the console has a hard wired yellow video plug and white audio plug. Computer monitors don’t usually have these inputs, but most TVs still do. –There are sockets on the console to handle wired joysticks and paddles, so you can use original Atari or Commodore controllers if you have them. (I tried an original Atari joystick, and its response was no better than the wireless sticks included.) –I couldn’t get some games, like Blackjack, to work. I looked on Wikipedia to find that this game was originally a paddle game. That may be the problem since I didn’t have a paddle. This may also explain the problem with Pong. –I tried to use an original Atari trackball, and it didn’t work, except for the fire button. The trackball has joystick and trackball settings: neither setting worked. That’s it. A few great games to bring back the olden times, but nothing astonishing. If you can play Centipede and Asteroids for hours on end, this is for you. This is where I kept my crossbody purse while boarding the plane, and I was also able to fit my quart sized baggie of liquids in here for easy access. In the main compartment, there is a slot for your laptop, a little spot in front of that which could be used for cords, and yet another mesh divider spot. I was able to fit 3 days of clothes, a bathing suit and cover-up, pair of sandals, jewelry, curling iron, and straightener in here. While it may look full in the picture, it was still squishable. This backpack is MUCH smaller, even when fully packed than the maximum size requirement for Spirit Airlines, here in the United States. I measured it before and after packing it, and even if I were to pack it 100% full, Id still be under their limit. It gets close in the longest measurement, the height, but really works great. I used this product for only 1 trip so far, but will be sure to use it as my free "purse" again soon! MY ONLY COMPLAINT, and this is a personal preference, is that its pretty stiff. I really enjoyed page 60 where Tanikaze manually course corrects a projectile into the target - cool! Book eleven is another solid entry in the series. The relationship cliffhanger from the last book is cleared up, further living arrangement issues develop sitcom style and even the giant bear character, Ms. Hiyama, is explained a bit. I wish Amazon would add a way to indicate if a product exceeds expectation. This is a great camera for the price. I paid 69.00 Jan 5 of 2018. Ive been using the SJCAM SJ4000 for over 6 years as a dash cam. Works great. Inexpensive. I wont drive without a dashcam of some sort and these have been working perfectly. I use the clamp mount to my rear view mirror base so it wont fall. I dont trust the suction cups which have always eventually fallen for me. I use a 64gb card and get over 6 hours of record time, allows me to download files less frequently. I also use it on casual bicycle trips, although its a pretty shaky picture. I put one in my moms car because she was accused of rear-ending someone who had actually hit the car in front of them and tried to make it look like my mom caused it. Fortunately, she had no damage to the front of her car so it was clear she didnt cause the accident. BE CAREFUL BUYING these as there have been many fake/counterfeits. Ive tried some of them and they may be worth the lower price but they perform poorly. Buy from SJCAM directly and Im sure youll be safe. I have an Apple/Mac computer and use FCPX to edit videos. These files work/process well. The files are.MOV. Thats important for me because AVI files dont seem to work directly with my computer/software. Of course, they can be converted but that adds to the time to process. Ive owned GoPro in the past and they, of course, are a better camera but for what Im using it for I dont need the extra quality/cost. An important feature for me is the Timestamp. I think GoPro still does not have this as a built-in feature but I may be wrong. Also important to me is the wide angle lens. This is the widest of the less expensive action cameras. They boast 170 degrees, not sure if thats correct because if it was 180 degree Id be able to see things that are at 90 degrees of the camera and I cant. As it is I can almost see the windshield pillars so Im sure its close to 170 and if nothing else I can say its getting everything in front of me and at a 45-degree angle from that. The FOV (field of view) can be changed if you dont like the distortion. I wish it where designed so you could get to the card without having to unplug the power cord (I have it running on a 12v lighter outlet). I use it on 12v so it starts automatically when I start my car, I never really have to think about it, just look up once in awhile to make sure the power cord hasnt backed out from the lighter socket. Theres not much Id change about it, maybe some date options, Id like it to show the day of the week. The USB port has been the only weak spot. Ive had 2 fail on me because I regularly plug/unplug power to get to the SD card. Ive always bought a SquareTrade warranty and they have covered the repair. I suppose I should mention the battery cover also, sort of hard to remove because of the small size of the button holding it in but Ive been able to make it work. I have big fingers. I think it could be easily redesigned to be more user-friendly. I notice they have stopped supplying the open air case that has a tripod mount screw in it.
